Som Beräkningsingenjör på Etteplan kommer du tillhöra affärsområdet Engineering Analysis som är Nordens ledande leverantör av tekniska beräkningar. Här kommer du arbeta nära våra kunder och med din kompetens vara en viktig pusselbit i deras utmaningar. Arbetet sker oftast i vår stora och trivsamma in house-verksamhet och ibland ute hos våra kunder. Vi har en väldigt bred kundbas från många olika industrigrenar vilket gör att vi kan erbjuda en mycket utvecklande och stimulerande arbetsmiljö med varierande arbetsuppgifter. Vi jobbar regelbundet tillsammans med våra kollegor i Solna och Linköping/Norrköping.

Din profil

För att du ska trivas hos oss och vi med dig är det viktigt att du brinner för och vill utvecklas vidare inom tekniska beräkningar, är driven och nyfiken samt att du på ett öppet och prestigelöst sätt kan ta del av andras kunskaper och dela med dig av dina egna. Då kommunikationen med interna och externa parter sker både på svenska och engelska så behöver du ha mycket god förmåga att uttrycka dig på båda språken i tal och skrift.

För att lyckas i den här rollen behöver du ha:

- Civilingenjörsexamen inom (maskinteknik, teknisk fysik), lic eller Ph.D. och intresse för produktutveckling
- 0-3 års erfarenhet av beräkningar/hållfasthetsanalys
- Erfarenhet av CAE-verktyg som Ansa, Ansys, Abaqus, Hypermesh, Nastran, LS-Dyna
- Erfarenhet från energi-, försvars- eller fordonsindustrin är fördelaktigt, men inget krav

At (Vehicle Engineering) we believe working with geometrical architecture is a creative process and it should be fast! The engineers at Volvo group should focus on the technical challenges of our products and not be limited by shortcomings in development tools or processes. We at the Vehicle Architecture, as part of the Vehicle engineering department lead geometrical packaging studies on components to support product owners to finding good installations in the truck. This contributes to set the optimal platform and truck architecture in our vehicles.
As part of our daily work we have a close collaboration with other internal stakeholders to find the optimal concepts to build the future trucks.

Your future team
Your future team consists of members where main focus is geometrical packaging studies, but also handling Load Capacity, Fire Safety & Vehicle Dimensions.
We are a group of skilled engineers with different backgrounds and experiences such as experts in engine installation or radar & sensor installation. Some more experienced and other in the start of their career. Team spirit and a collaborative environment is key to our success.

What you will do
In this role as a Geometrical Architect you will be leading the packaging studies and support the engineers to find the best solutions and secure those will work for Operations and Aftermarket.
We need a team member that can support the product updates by leading the packaging studies from early studies to later phases with main focus in early studies.
This means cross functional work with mainly engineers and representatives from manufacturing and aftermarket, but also other stakeholders are involved.

Responsibilities
As a laboratory engineer you will represent Essity laboratories in many perspectives, be responsible for product testing, be part of innovation projects as well as supporting their business units. You will plan, propose and perform evaluation and laboratory testing on products in the Tork Portfolio. Our department Customer Features Verification focuses on various features, including vehicle fuel/energy economy, CO? emission, performance and drivability. We are hands-on when conducting physical tests, performing cutting-edge data analysis and complete vehicle simulations to evaluate these features. 


About the thesis work

This project aims to develop a sophisticated, two-tier intelligent driver model that leverages machine learning to learn complex vehicle behavior from data and emulate nuanced, human-like driving strategies. The project builds upon an existing validated longitudinal vehicle dynamics model in Simulink, replacing the current physics-based controller with an advanced machine learning approach. 

The driver model will consist of: 
* Driver Intent Model (Behavioral Layer): A high-level module that learns human-like driving decisions, mapping driving context (speed error, distance to stop, lead vehicle behavior, road grade preview) to smooth, realistic acceleration profiles using imitation learning techniques. 
* Pedal Mapper (Control Layer): A low-level module acting as a learned inverse model of the truck’s powertrain and brake dynamics, translating desired acceleration into precise pedal commands. This will be implemented using MLP-based (Multi-Layer Perceptron) neural networks with online adaptation capability through Recursive Least Squares (RLS). 
* Safety & Comfort Supervisor: A supervisory layer enforcing critical constraints including jerk limits, pedal rate limits, and Time-to-Collision (TTC) guards. 


By utilizing imitation learning, neural networks, and online system identification techniques, this intelligent driver model will improve vehicle control performance, enhance human-like driving behavior, and contribute to safer autonomous driving solutions. 
A critical component of this thesis is the full integration and comprehensive validation of the developed driver model into the existing Simulink vehicle dynamics environment. You will systematically evaluate the model’s performance against a comprehensive set of KPIs, including control performance (RMSE of acceleration tracking, stop position accuracy), human-likeness (jerk profiles, headway distribution vs. human data), safety & plausibility (pedal command overlap, TTC violations in car-following scenarios), and efficiency metrics (proxy for energy consumption). This integration and validation work will ensure the model’s readiness for real-world deployment in autonomous and driver-assist systems. 
The MSc. thesis proposal has a scope of 30 ECTS credits (suitable for one student).

About you

We expect that you are finishing your studies in Automotive Engineering, Control Systems, Mechanical Engineering or similar. You should have excellent proficiency in MATLAB & Simulink and be familiar with Python. A solid theoretical foundation in Control Theory (e.g., PID, state-space models), and good understanding of fundamental Machine Learning concepts (Supervised Learning, Neural Networks) are required. 
Background in vehicle dynamics, system identification (e.g., RLS), or reinforcement learning is a plus. You should be comfortable implementing algorithms from first principles in code.

Arbetsuppgifter

Du kommer utveckla och ansvara för Kustbevakningens underhållssystem, som är en central del i ditt arbete. Arbetet innebär bland annat att koordinera att ett enhetligt planerat underhåll genomförs på Kustbevakningens alla fartyg i enlighet med gällande processer, rutiner och riktlinjer. Du kommer följa upp genomfört underhåll och genomföra analyser för att på så sätt kunna effektivisera och optimera underhållslösningar samt öka materielsystemens tillgänglighet och driftsäkerhet. Du kommer också utbilda i underhållsteknik och systemstöd för underhåll.

I dina arbetsuppgifter ingår också att aktivt driva förbättringsarbeten vid planering och återrapportering av genomfört underhåll av olika materielsystem. Du kommer arbeta med att förbättra metoder, processer och arbetssätt inom underhållsområdet. Inom Kustbevakningens digitaliseringsarbete kommer du bland annat arbeta med att förenkla för användarna vid exempelvis återrapportering av genomfört underhåll. About the Thesis
Heavy-duty road transport is undergoing a significant transition toward CO2 neutrality. To support this transition, it is crucial that zero emission vehicles like battery electric (BEV) or Fuel cell vehicles (FCEV) can reach cost of ownership parity to Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) vehicles. One important part of cost of ownership is the cost of repairing and maintaining the vehicles, the maintenance cost.
Repairability of ingoing components like engines and gearboxes in ICE vehicles is common practice and an expected feature of a commercially competitive vehicle to reduce maintenance cost and the circularity footprint. This however is not always true for BEVs or FCEVs. In many cases a repair of a BEV or FCEV means exchanging the complete, often expensive, faulty component – a battery, onboard charger, electric machine etc. Together with other factors like the electrical safety requirements this means that repairing a BEV or FCEV in case of breakdown is often very expensive. 
The expectation in the market, however, is that the maintenance cost for a BEV is significantly lower than that of a corresponding ICE vehicle. This is currently true for preventive maintenance, but the significant cost of corrective maintenance means that the total maintenance cost of a BEV can be very high if reliability of the driveline cannot be secured. 
One way to keep the repair cost and circularity footprint down is to enable repair of the high voltage components, i.e. replacing the faulty ingoing part of the component instead of replacing the complete component. But repairing high voltage electronics is something completely different that repairing engines or other mechanical components and this will put new demands on all parts of the chain, from product development to the mechanic. However, there is a gap in knowledge about the market activities in this area as well as the specific requirements high voltage component repair will put on workshops, product development etc.


What you will do

The thesis aims to answer the following questions:

a)    What does the market for high voltage automotive component repair look like
b)    What are the drivers behind and benefits of repair (economical/circularity/legal)
c)    What are the specific/unique requirements for efficient, safe, and quality assured repair of high voltage components vs traditional automotive components?
d)    How is safety and quality of repairs ensured?

To answer these questions, it will be necessary to conduct a market study to understand the current situation in the market. It will also be necessary to understand electrical risks, cleanliness requirements and solutions, fault tracing and end-of-repair testing etc – and how to design components and workshop processes to mitigate them. This research will need to be solidly based in theory, but also be possible to apply practically. Part of the work will also be to identify new questions and needs in the area and the scope can be adjusted if needed, as an example a study could also be carried out on component repair in more traditional electrified areas like trains and trams.

Din Roll

Som beräkningsingenjör hos oss får du chansen att vara med i hela utvecklingen; allt från studier och koncept till realisering av slutprodukt. I din roll kommer du vara ett stöd för konstruktörerna i deras dagliga arbete. Du hanterar kravnedbrytning till våra konstruktörer, gör analyser och simuleringar för olika designlösningar och återkopplar till konstruktion kring designförbättringar och optimering.

Våra system har höga krav på tillförlitlighet och skall designas för att fungera i alla typer av miljöer. Därför behöver du och ta hänsyn till de höga mekaniska påfrestningar och varierande temperaturer och miljöer systemen utsätts för.

Beräkningsarbetet kan innefatta såväl statiska hållfasthetsberäkningar som beräkning av vibrationsanalyser och utmattningsberäkningar för att säkerställa produktens mekaniska prestanda.

Med några års erfarenhet, agerar du som ett stöd för konstruktörerna i deras dagliga arbete kring beräkning och simulering av enklare mekaniska element, val av material, uppsättning av randvillkor och lastfall, samt tolkning av resultat.

I din roll kan du komma att verka i flera projekt samtidigt, i tvärfunktionella team. Uppgifterna i teamen kan variera. Det kan röra sig om validering av enklare fästelement till verifiering av hela systemintegrationer för att säkerställa att vi uppfyller ställda krav. Din profil

Vi ser att du under några år har samlat på dig värdefull arbetslivserfarenhet som beräkningsingenjör. För att lyckas i din roll tror vi att du har en känsla för att se de enkla lösningarna i komplexa problem och har förmågan att se förstå kundens krav och önskemål och sedan omsätta det till en tänkbar teknisk lösning. Du har ett intresse att sprida dina kunskaper till andra på ett pedagogiskt och tydligt sätt.

För att lyckas i rollen tror vi att du har:

* Högskole- eller civilingenjörsutbildning, gärna med inriktning mot hållfasthet, mekanik, konstruktion eller likvärdigt. Några års erfarenhet inom området är meriterande.

* Goda kunskaper i FEM-verktyg som Ansys eller liknande

1) Aero-acoustic simulation. Predicting interior noise at occupants head based on full vehicle CFD simulations.
2) SEA (Statistical Energy Analysis)

All steps from model build, simulations and evaluations and correlation studies. One example could be to evaluate different sound packaged with full SEA simulations. Experience from Altair SEAM is an advantage.

Kvalifikationer
Vi söker nu dig med en gedigen utbildning inom hållfasthet och strukturmekanik. Vi tror att du har en civilingenjörsexamen från Maskin, Teknisk Fysik eller Samhällsbyggnad och har jobbat något eller några år med LS-DYNA eller motsvarande programvara.

Lead Mechanical Engineer – Gothenburg

We are now looking for a Mechanical Lead for our exciting Ash2Phos project. We are in the process of setting up a full-scale plant for recovering phosphorus in Sweden. The plant will be built in Helsingborg and have a capacity of 30 000-ton ash from incinerated sewage sludge per year.
Job description
As Mechanical Lead you take responsibility for the mechanical development of our various technologies. Our projects span all phases, from feasibility studies to plant start-up. The primary work tasks include leading mechanical engineering project management, working on P&IDs;, plant layouts, and 3D designs, specifying equipment, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring adherence to internal standards. Most of the time will be spent in Gothenburg but may in the future involve both national and international travel to our offices, as well as being briefly located at the future sites as a part of a plant start-up team.
Other responsibilities;
Coordinate the work of external consultants to ensure accurate execution and timely delivery across project phases
Support management in budgeting and cost estimates in collaboration with our cross-functional engineering team
Develop and maintain internal mechanical standards

Your profile

Plan and perform engine and component durability tests from start to finish
Monitor engine performance, analyze test data, and inspect components
Document and present results in a clear and structured manner

Din roll

Som Principal Engineer inom Maskin- och Utilitetssystem har du ett övergripande ansvar för strategisk utveckling, underhållsplanering och investeringar kopplade till våra fartygs maskinella system. Kvalifikationer:

* Civilingenjör inom maskinteknik, mekanik eller motsvarande.
* Minst 5 års erfarenhet från marin bransch, processindustri eller annan tung industri.
* Erfarenhet av tekniska system såsom stora motorer, kranar eller liknande.
* God förståelse för regelverk, myndighetskrav och internationella standarder.

What you will do

Main area of responsibility lies within CFD simulations for Airdrag certification, Aerodynamic evaluations and Aerodynamic tests for trucks, ensuring optimal vehicle performance and efficiency, seeking to meet Certification processes. 

* Develop and deliver CFD models and results, proposing optimal simulation and analysis approaches, contributing to the overall energy management mapping of complete vehicle applications by utilizing the in-house processes for aerodynamic simulations. 
* Utilize CFD tools and techniques to draw conclusions and make recommendations, ensuring analyses meet design targets and standards, in order to meet Airdrag Certification Processes. 
* Contribute to continuous improvement of methods and tools, acting as a technical specialist in the field of Aerodynamics and Airdrag. 
Evaluate project content and estimate timelines, actively participating in the development and enhancement of methods and tools.

We, the Electrical & Electronics Engineering and Vehicle Connectivity, CAB wiring group, consist of 28 wiring engineers in a diverse team. We are involved in most of the projects with electrical impact. The CAB wiring group has the mission to develop the complete wiring harness from concept phases to serial production and maintenance with a strong focus on quality, deliveries, cost and features. The group is also responsible to design customer adaptation wiring harnesses within the CAB area. We are responsible of the wiring harness product and all the technical releases, such as wiring harness drawings, wiring harness CAD modules and other related wiring harness product documentation. Our design responsibility ranges from 24V traditional systems to 600V propulsion systems. We are organized in several AGILE teams, and we follow the SAFE methodology.

Our “office” could be in various locations. We work in Volvo manufacturing plants, test tracks, wiring harness suppliers, prototype workshops as well as in our premises in Gothenburg. We work both in our CAD tools as well as hands-on with our components. One day could be different from the other.

Many of our projects are global, both in a product perspective and in an organizational perspective. We daily work with our many stakeholders, internal & external, national and international.

Who are you?
We believe that you have a genuine interest in Electrical Distribution Systems and wiring engineering and have experience on product development in wiring harness, in the commercial vehicle industry or in automotive. Rollbeskrivning:
Main responsibilities are to manage test objects (engines), to keep the specification/documentation updated in the systems. This includes preparing the engine BOM prior to the builds in our various plants, through planning and writing MR in ProTOM. Supporting and writing LC, one with the input from GCR and HWDL for new builds if/when changes are needed after the freeze of BOM. Participate and contribute in EMG, PUM/VUM and in start-up meetings, where all requested and required updates of test objects should be anchored and reviewed. Keep a continuously updated log on the full list of project test objects. Support with material knowledge in case of issues in the test cells and if there is a need of TOSS. In front of the BOM review in the project we test import on a specific TO in ProTOM so check project status, so we get the correct BOM from KOLA. Work orders are created prior to the engine arriving from Skövde plant. The WO contains information on standard prep, what needs to be updated from the build in Skövde, if anything is needed. TOL request VI-kit and parts for frame side when needed. Also create work orders for engines that change purpose, for example from vehicle intended to test cell need. Frame sides are updated by the TOL upon request from the FA or VL. Person needs to be a support-oriented person and like to work with people with feeling for structure, law and order and work with BOM structure and list. Also able to adapt and quick learning of PDM and order system

We are seeking a dedicated Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset and a good understanding of environmental science. You will be responsible for conducting comprehensive life cycle assessments to evaluate the environmental impact of our products.

Who are you  
We believe 1-2 years of experience in performing LCAs. We believe you possess strong analytical skills for interpreting complex data. Proficiency in using LCA software tools such as SimaPro, GaBi, and Open LCA is essential. Additionally, strong proficiency in Excel is needed. The ideal candidate should demonstrate good knowledge of environmental science and related processes. You have critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Effective written and verbal communication skills in English are required. Additionally, the candidate should maintain high attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis. Experience in automotive product development will be considered advantageous.  
Finally, you are curious and have a great interest in learning about trucks and our way of working.  

You have completed a MSc or PhD in a relevant engineering area.

Working as Test Engineer
To one of our client we are seeking for a test engineer within New Product Development projects and Product Improvement. For this position you will work with planning, perform and assess the state of product quality at different stats of the product development cycle.
Your Daily work task will be: • Improve test methods and to feed method and rig improvements to the relevant functions • Exploratory testing to help investigate or set specifications • Plan tests according to T&V test strategy • Perform tests and log results • Document and report test results • Actively participate in risk assessments and planning Being a consultant at Nexer Tech Talent
Nexer Tech Talent specialize in giving young tech talents the ultimate start in their careers. For this role, you will be employed by Nexer Tech Talent but work at client, located in Gothenburg starting during fall.
You will be coached by a mentor at the client and by a consultant manager at Nexer Tech Talent. As a consultant, you will be well taken care of. We often invite our consultants to group activities such as lectures, after works and lunch meetings. After successful completion of the consulting assignment, the intention is that you will be offered employment with the customer.
Desired qualifications:
Are at the start of your career and hold a bachelor degree in mechanics or other relevant field
Have an interest in testing, and analyzing results
As a person you should take ownership for your work and like to work in team
You have a positive mindset and ability to understand the bigger picture
Good knowledge in English, both verbal and written
Has good knowledge in hands-on work involving both mechanical and technical aspects

Arbetsbeskrivning I denna tekniska roll kommer du primärt att utveckla och implementera styrsystem i programmeringsspråken Plus+1 Guide och Codesys. Du kommer att vara inblandad i projekt från början till slut, från konceptualisering till implementering och support, ofta i samarbete med både interna och externa partners. I tjänsten får du möjlighet att arbeta självständigt direkt mot kund. I tjänsten kommer du oftast från kontoret i Halmstad, men resor förekommer i rimlig omfattning.
Din profil Vi söker dig som är högskoleutbildad inom mekatronik, intelligenta styrsystem eller liknande områden. En sådan bakgrund ger dig de tekniska kunskaper som krävs för att framgångsrikt kunna hantera och utveckla våra kunduppdrag. Du bör ha en stark teknisk grund och gedigen erfarenhet av PLC-programmering. Erfarenhet inom CAN-bussystem och IoT-lösningar är meriterande. Som person är du ansvarstagande, strukturerad och har en naturlig förmåga att tänka kreativt för att lösa komplexa problem. Erfarenhet av att arbeta i projektform är en fördel, likaså ett intresse för teknisk innovation och kundrelationer.

Technical Field Engineer – Global Installation & Service

Your duties and tasks
In the role of Technical Field Engineer, you will work closely with the sales team from an early stage to identify the best installation points and operating conditions for our technology. You will actively engage in technical discussions with customers, ensuring that each solution is tailored to their specific needs. Your work will involve global travel for the start-up, optimization, and ongoing support of our systems, while collaborating with colleagues across various functions. As part of our commitment to customer success, you will also provide service, maintenance, and training to existing customers. Be prepared for frequent travel (approximately 50-75 days per year).
Key Qualifications
Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field
Hands-on experience with technology-intensive products, ideally in the process or food industry
Proven track record in technical support, installations outside the Nordic region, or working with diverse cultures
Experience installing complex process industry equipment, with knowledge of pumping flows and flow rate calculations
Proficient in technical documentation and CAD 3D drawings. In addition, you are flexible and solution-oriented, with extensive expertise in areas such as electronics, automation, technology and mechanics, as well as networking
Fluent in English both spoken and written, Italian is a plus.
