Production specialist and quality controller
To strengthen our sensor production team, Biolin Scientific are seeking a production specialist and quality controller. The position is located at our head office in Gothenburg, Sweden.

Your role and key responsibilities:
As a production specialist and quality controller, you will be an integral part of the Sensor Team. You will play a crucial role in the routine in-house sensor production using state of the art thin film deposition techniques like sputtering, spin coating and other deposition techniques. You will also run quality control of produced sensors using Quartz Crystal Microbalance with Dissipation (QCM-D). Other tasks will include packing and shipping of produced goods. Additionally, you will document production, QC outcomes and suggest/take part in process optimization.
As a production specialist and quality controller, you will:
Collect needed material according to the production plan, prepare relevant production equipment and run QSense sensor production according to production plan.
Perform quality control (QC)/inspection.
Log records of production and quality control outcomes and observations and document any deviation regarding quality.
Packing, labeling and shipping of goods according to company procedures.
Meet planned delivery deadlines and maintain sensors stocks at the desired levels.
Keep production and QC equipment clean and organized to run production, QC, packing and shipping smoothly.
Actively take part in the continuous improvement processes and suggest changes to improve sensor production and quality.

What we are looking for:
As a production specialist and quality controller, you are expected to have
Documented experience of working in production and QC environment.
High school diploma or higher education in the field of Chemistry or science.
Excellent English writing and communications skills.
Experience of working with quality management system such as (ISO 9001) and production planning system (Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)) is highly advantageous.
Knowledge and experience of thin-film deposition technology and materials development would be considered as a strong merit.
Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
A well organised, fast-learner personality with solid can-do attitude with a curious mindset, and excellent soft skills.
You must have a valid work permission to work in Sweden (Company will not sponsor work-visa for this position).

We now have an open position for a Sensor Manager at Biolin Scientific head office in Gothenburg. This broad and technical challenging role will include sensor development, manage, and secure in-house sensor production processes accompanied with timely deliveries as well as quality and efficiency requirements. This position will include worldwide customer visits as Biolin Scientific sensor expert representative. The responsibility will include tasks as:
Manage and lead the sensor production team and taking part in manufacturing as necessary
Continuously develop surface materials, product and process quality, manufacturability and efficiency including suppliers
Develop and manufacture sensors with tailored coating as requested by customer, taking active part in developing new surfaces
Be proactive and responsive to distribution partners and customers needs
Communicate both externally and internally about sensor related technical topics and customer issues and provide excellent technical support
Follow market trends and needs to be a step ahead developing new surfaces
Responsible for keeping production and development environment, equipment etc. in a clean and good condition
Take active part in other sensor related activities, as separately agreed
Introduce new techniques if appropriate for thin film deposition

Qualifications and experience
Applicant should have a Ph.D. degree preferably in Science, Physics/Chemistry/Materials Science or similar. Have knowledge and experienced of vacuum technology, thin film deposition technology and in-depth knowledge of Sputtering (RF-sputtering, DC-sputtering, HiPIMS) as well as familiar with interpretation of analytical readout of deposited material (such as XPS, AFM, TOF-Sims, RBS, ERDA) is needed. Additionally, you need to be well familiar with crystal growth and thin film material build up using a variety of target materials.
Some years experience in an industrial setting with manufacturing and development of QCM-D sensors is meritorious.
You have good drive to operate, organize and have excellent team working skills and can communicate technical results concisely. Microsoft Office skills and knowledge at a moderate to high level. Experience of working under a quality system (ISO) and familiar with a production planning system (Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)) is considered as a merit.
The position requires fluent verbal and written English. And perhaps most importantly, good motivation for work. The work is very self-contained, you need to have a good drive, but you are also closely involved in the many functions in Biolin.

Take part in other activities as agreed with the manager.

Qualifications and experience
As a production specialist you are expected to have some experience and knowledge of working in production and lab environment. You have a high school diploma in science or equivalent education. Experience of working under a quality system (ISO) and familiar with a production planning system (Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)) is advantageous. Microsoft Office skills and knowledge at a moderate to high level is required. Knowledge and experience of thin film deposition technology and material science is a plus.
