Role Overview
One of our colleagues in the Olsaro team is going on maternity leave, so we head for strengthening our capacities with a temporary position.
As our Operations Manager you will be pivotal in driving operational efficiency and advancing business development. Working closely with the CEO, you’ll play a key role in prioritizing and executing strategic initiatives while optimizing internal processes. This position offers an exceptional opportunity to shape the future of a fast-growing startup.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with the CEO to manage daily operations and strategic initiatives.
Enhance operational processes for maximum efficiency and alignment with business goals.
Ensure seed shipment to our field trial partners globally, including phytosanitary processes and seed shipment coordination.
Identify, apply for, and manage public funding opportunities.
Develop and execute communication strategies to showcase OlsAro’s mission and innovations.
Foster new business opportunities, partnerships, and collaborations.
Optimize internal systems, including field trial pipelines, seed multiplication, and project management.
Prepare performance reports with actionable insights for improvement.

Qualifications
Master’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related fields; biotech or agronomic knowledge is a plus.
Analytical and strategic thinker with a track record of improving operational efficiency.
Proven experience in business operations, project management, or business development, ideally in biotech or agriculture.
Strong skills in structuring processes and making complex information accessible.
Demonstrated success in public funding applications and grant management.
Excellent communication and presentation abilities, engaging diverse audiences.
Ability to adapt quickly, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Proactive mindset with a commitment to sustainability and agricultural innovation.

Role Overview
As our Agronomist and Trait Breeder, you will play a pivotal role in our trait development initiatives. Your expertise in agronomy, crossing, field trials, trait development and evaluation will drive our mission forward by developing robust and climate-adapted wheat. Your contribution will be essential in creating foundational genetic materials that address the challenges of tomorrow’s agriculture.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement efficient crossing via marker assisted selection for validating and developing pre-breeding materials in key crops, starting with wheat.
Technical coordination of field trials performed at the fields of our partners globally. Including development of trial protocols, coordination of trial execution, ensuring accurate and harmonized reporting as well as interpretation of results.
Ensuring good agronomic practice in field and greenhouse operations.
Conduct field and greenhouse experiments to evaluate traits such as salinity tolerance, heat resistance, and nitrogen use efficiency. Including plant phenotyping for trait selection.
Crossing and introgression to develop elite material with desirable traits.
Contribute to phytosanitary processes and seed logistics to ensure on time delivery of seeds for field seasons.
Support in germplasm management and maintenance to ensure quality and consistency.
Taking part of customer/partner dialogs with regards to field trials, as well as taking part of field trial partner identification
Collaborate closely with our research and development team to design and execute experiments, analyze data, interpret and communicate results.



Required Qualifications
M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Plant Breeding, Agronomy, or a related field. With experience in wheat or other field crops.
Minimum 5 years of experience in trait development, plant breeding, agronomy, or pre-breeding.
Knowledge of the seed industry and agricultural sector. Experience from working in a commercial setting is a strong plus.
Proficiency in trait development, including marker assisted crossing methodologies, field trial design, phenotyping, and data analysis (preferably in wheat)
Proficiency in good trialing and agronomic practices e.g. supervising pest and weed control operations, conducting surveys of insect or plant diseases, production processes such as harvesting
Excellent ability to work as part of a team, sharing responsibilities, communicating results, and collaborating on solving complex problems.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced research environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to design and execute experiments independently.
Effective communication and collaboration skills to work closely with diverse teams and stakeholders both internally and externally.
Attention to detail and commitment to quality, safety, and research integrity.
Ability to thrive in a fast phased commercial R&D environment with curiosity and constant development as part of the organizational DNA.
Proficiency in English.

Role Overview
We're looking for a dynamic Business Developer who’s ready to dive into the agtech world and push the boundaries for climate resilience in crops. You will support our commercial strategy and help manage our existing partnerships, engage with stakeholders, and contribute to our market presence and value delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in developing and executing commercial strategies to drive growth and market penetration.
Support efforts to identify new market opportunities and foster strategic partnerships within the seed industry.
Help ensure the successful delivery of milestones within existing collaborations.
Assist in building strong relationships with key stakeholders, including seed companies, agricultural organizations, and research institutions.
Engage directly with customers and partners, supporting negotiations and sales initiatives.
Collaborate with partners to coordinate seed production and field trials, aligning them with our commercial goals.
Work with the R&D team to identify and prioritize effective crop, technology, and market combinations.
Occasionally participate in industry meetings and global partner engagement.

Qualifications
A holder of a Master´s degree in Business Administration, or a related field, with some real-world experience in business development or partnership management.
Experience or education in Biotechnology, Agriculture, or related fields is a major plus.
Understanding of the seed sector and its market dynamics.
Demonstrated ability to support partnership management and coordinate field trials.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships.
Proficiency in English; Swedish is a plus.
Ability to adapt quickly to changes and manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
