At our unit in Arendal, Gothenburg, aprox 400 employees are working with assembly, injection moulding and painting for the automotive industry.
We are about to increase our Quality organization with more resources and are therefore looking for a Quality Engineer with experience from the automotive industry.

Main areas


• Represent Plastal in discussions regarding quality, including specifications, approval of deviations and claims with our customer.
• Lead and drive the quality work for your area of responsibility, both in running production and in projects.
• Gatekeeper for internal R@R, PFMEA, Control Plan etc. before the process moves on.
• Contribute in developing quality assurance and the quality and environmental management system.
• Implement/participate in internal audits (IATF 16949)
• Coach and train peers in quality- and problem solving methods.
• Develop, drive and follow up our continuous improvement work, related to internal and external deviations to secure the right quality.
• Provide statistics and analysis related to our quality status.
• Together with Purchasing, drive claims against suppliers.
• Identify, analyze, visualize and monitor parameters that are relevant to fulfil the internal and external demands within the area.

Your profile

You have minimum a bachelor degree within quality or equivalent experience and at least 5 years' experience from qualified work with quality, preferable from the automotive industry

You have experience working with root cause analysis, conduct "lessons learned" and have knowledge about process development and Six-Sigma.

It is meritorious if you are certified as Green Belt and also have experience from injection molding and painting. It is of great importance that you could work both in teams and independently and that you wants to take lead in different continuous improvement activities.

You possess analytic skills and rapidly address problems that occurs and drive them to an end solution together with relevant stakeholders.

You master Microsoft Office freely and you are proficient in Swedish and English, in both speech and writing.


Your personality is of great importance – you need a positive attitude, power of initiative and likes to solve problems. We also see that you are flexible, structured and with great accountability.
It requires engagement and contribution from you as a co-worker to greatly increase our level of quality towards customer.

Our current positionholder will move on to new challenges within the company and we are therefore looking for her replacer to the position as Quality-, Environment- and occupational health co-ordinator (QEHS) You will be a part of a team of 9 people that alla are working within the area of quality and environment.  

The role

As a QEHS Coordinator, you contribute with expertise within Quality, Environment and Work Environment. The work is both operational and strategic and you will work on creating, developing and improving our work in the various areas. You are the companys ambassador within these fields and you are constantly working to raise awareness and develop competence in quality, environment and working environment.
You are the organizations support which means you provide advice and education when needed so that we reach the specific requirements in each area. This includes government contacts as well as internal and external audits.
Your contact areas will be very broad and include all levels in the organization. You support both projects and ongoing activities and participate in the Group's Best Practice work to make sure we work proactive in these areas.

The QEHS Coordinator reports to the Quality- and Environment Manager but you also have close collaboration with the HR-department.

Your profile

The role suits you who is initiative and sees problem solving as a challenge to learn and develop. You are persistent and sees the possibilities instead of getting stuck in problems. Further, you are eager to take decisions rather than not take any at all. As a person you are social, you feel comfortable in social contexts and have the ability to communicate with people at all levels.
You possess good knowledge in Microsoft Office and have great experience working with computers. You are proficient in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

It is a merit if you have knowledge in ISO 9001/14001 / IATF16949 or have worked with internal auditing of these standards.
We also see that it is a merit if you have had previous roles where you have been leading without being a manager, such as project management or similar. At Plastal you will have a big impact and you will also get the opportunity to shape the future of your work.

There are a few travel days per year, approximately 10 days.

To support the highly automated processes, knowledge is needed in many technology areas for the maintenance department. Robot technology, PLC programming and hydraulics are areas that are particularly important in addition to the normal electrical and mechanical skills.


The Role
In the role as Maintenance Manager you will be a part of an exciting journey where we strive to make our plant more efficient and to deliver products that follow the strict quality requirements from customers.  
You will be responsible for leading and developing the maintenance organization where a lot of focus will include proactive and process specific maintenance work. To help you manage the previous mentioned you have a team which consists of 20 maintenance technicians who works four shift.
Further, we also see that you have the ability to switch between operative and strategic work when necessary. Since it is a four shift department you need to be a present leader who supports and motivates even though you don’t see all your employees each day.


This is you
We are looking for a person who is committed and is driven to work on continuous improvements which will increase the availability of our machines. You have experience of working both operative and strategic within maintenance which includes bottleneck analyzes and ensuring that deviations are handled in a good and efficient way to improve the business. You are responsible for leading change and work proactively to develop the maintenance organization.
The Maintenance Manager reports to our Manager of Technology who is located in our plant in Arendal.


Main tasks
• Coordinate ongoing operational maintenance activities
• The staffing plans and maintenance activities on an ongoing basis and before the weekend and holidays
• Lead and develop staff and work methods
• Develop instructions and routines
• Drive strategic and proactive maintenance in the plant


Requirements
• College engineer or equivalent work experience
• Extensive experience of maintenance work in production environment, the automotive industry is a merit
• Experience as a manager or team leader within Maintenance
• Accustomed running projects in preventive maintenance
• Experience in maintenance work in highly automated production is a merit
• Fluent Swedish and English in speech and writing
