Automation Engineer
Trident BMC (Trident Baltic Marine Callenberg) is an international provider of HVAC and Electrical Energy Management solutions for the maritime, offshore & energy markets. Trident BMC is now entering an expansive phase and we are searching for two qualified Automation Engineers for our Swedish office in Gothenburg. You will be located in our newly renovated office close to Lindholmen, but also get the opportunity to travel around the world.
As an Automation Engineer in our team, you will become an important part of interesting and inspiring projects in an international marine environment. Your working days will be varied, and your technical interest and knowledge will be expressed in projects within energy savings and marine HVAC projects.
We are looking for the right persons for us, which means you can have different backgrounds as long as our basic requirements are met. Either you graduated recently and are ready and curious to take a role where you can grow and develop every day, or you’re a Service Engineer today with a few years of experience and ready to take on a new role in your career.
Key responsibilities
Automation design of marine HVAC facilities
Electrical design (low voltage) in varied forms
PLC programming (structured text according to CodeSys)
HMI/SCADA programming
Work management in various projects
Commissioning of our supplied system / products
Possibility to eventually lead smaller projects by your own
Electrical installation on board ships can be included

To meet our customers needs, you must have
Academic degree in engineering, or similar equivalent working experience, preferably within the maritime sector
Fluency in English language
Knowledge in reading and understanding electrical design drawings
Good understanding in PLC trouble shooting and programming (CodeSys)
Understanding and possible experience of working in projects, preferably in the HVAC maritime sector
Understanding and experience within automation
Understanding and experience with FieldBus devices (in general Modbus)
A willingness to travel to various destinations around the world, which means up to 40-100 travel days per year

Experience in iFIX,
Electrical installation work onboard ships
Experience of marine projects
Documented experience of automation
Being used to travel a lot for work

Quotation Engineer
In this role, we are looking for an experienced calculation engineer who wants to work with interesting international projects, be involved in developing the company and the quotation process.

Trident BMC AB's offer

Tasks
Your main task is to drive the quotation process from request documentation to complete calculation.
As a process owner, you will have a dialogue with the sales and project department, designers, subcontractors and customers.
To succeed in your work, it is important that you can ask relevant and technically correct questions to both customers and subcontractors.

Furthermore, you will also work with:
• Evaluate quotes and price lists from subcontractors
• Composition and analysis of cost calculation
• Responsible for technical specification and documentation to prepare a quote
• Work actively to reduce material costs
• Work for continuous improvement in accordance with the company's goals and visions
• Contribute to control of subcontractors' obligations and competitiveness.

Qualifications
Requirement
• Educational background: Post-secondary education with a focus on HVAC technology or comparable
experience.
• Very good knowledge of English, both orally and in writing.
• Understanding of the processes
• Analytical and decision-making skills
• Good knowledge of MS Excel
• Accustomed to working towards clear deadlines
• Take responsibility and work proactively to meet goals
• Be able to work both team-oriented and independently
• Outgoing personality with good social skills

Meritorious
• Knowledge of HVAC drawing software based on AutoCAD.
