Workshop Manager

I vår serviceverkstad i Arendal, Göteborg utförs reparationer och översyner av Wärtsiläs motorutrustning och komponenter. Arbetet innefattar även mätningar, förebyggande underhåll och verktygsvård – allt enligt våra höga krav på kvalitet, miljö, hälsa och säkerhet.
Nu söker vi en Workshop Manager som vill ta ledningen för ett skickligt och engagerat team på 14 medarbetare. I rollen får du en nyckelposition där du kombinerar operativ styrning med långsiktig utveckling. Tillsammans med ditt team säkerställer du att den dagliga driften fungerar effektivt, samtidigt som du driver förbättringar som stärker både verksamheten och människorna i den. Du bygger struktur, främjar samarbete och skapar en arbetsmiljö där kvalitet, säkerhet och laganda står i centrum.
I rollen kommer du att:
· Leda och utveckla det dagliga arbetet i verkstaden med fokus på kvalitet, effektivitet och kundnöjdhet.

What will you be doing?
As an In-Situ Specialist, you will travel globally to perform hands-on machining activities at our customers' premises, gaining valuable insight into how on-site repairs can significantly impact our customers in times of need. You will precisely machine and rebuild a wide variety of reciprocating engine components following established guidelines and safety protocols. You will oversee and manage all aspects of on-site machining operations, from line boring to crankshaft machining. Your responsibilities for the role include, but are not limited to:
Overseeing, participating in, and managing all on-site machining projects from inspection to completion.
Ensuring all on-site activities adhere to safety rules, ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health and Safety standard, and ISO 9001:2015 Quality standard.
Conducting regular performance evaluations and providing constructive feedback.
Being an integral part of the In-Situ team, striving to achieve common goals and customer deadlines, including working overtime and collaborating with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
Adopting a pleasant, adaptable attitude towards any "ad-hoc" duties that may be required.
Supporting and managing on-site tool inventory, including maintaining and tracking in-situ machining and measuring tools.
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including progress reports, inspection records, and timesheets.
Assisting with the preparation and submission of detailed project completion reports according to Wärtsilä standards.
Collecting and organising time and expense reports.



Travel requirements:
This position requires a minimum of 60% travel, both domestically and internationally, including onshore and offshore locations as needed. The role demands adaptability to varying travel requirements, with extended periods away from the primary work location. A typical assignment involves traveling on short notice, with stays ranging from a few days to about two weeks. Normally, assignments are completed in pairs, but for certain services, solo travel is required. Therefore, we seek candidates with a strong Field Service mindset, who are flexible and ready to travel.

The following will enable you to succeed in this role:
2-3 years of job-related experience with on-site machining or in a similar role, including:
Line-boring using boring bars.
Use of laser and optical alignment equipment.
Use of mechanical measuring equipment.
Tool calibration and verification.
Metal stitching experience.
In-situ machining using crankshaft machining tools (preferred).
Performing grinding services using portable grinding machines.
Proficiency in using machining software and tools.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
Valid driver's licence B.
Strong English language skills, both written and spoken.
Willingness and flexibility to travel.

The ability to lead and mentor a team of skilled machinists to ensure the successful completion of projects within specified timelines and quality standards.

We are now looking for an enthusiastic Chief Accountant to join our skilled Statutory Tax & Company Compliance team, looking after our Swedish legal entity Wärtsilä Voyage Sweden. The preferred location for the position is Gothenburg, Sweden.
What will you be doing?
As a Chief Accountant , your tasks will revolve around all areas relating to accounting functions and financial reporting. This position will be responsible for daily, weekly and monthly accounting tasks and activities. The Chief Accountant is also expected to make recommendations to the FM for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. This position must meet tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger preparation and financial reporting. Assure confidentiality of financial information.
Your responsibilities for the role include, but are not limited to:
· Responsible for accurate and timely preparation of statutory, management, annual statutory accounts and other regulatory accounts.
· Direct point of contact with the auditors (internal and external) and complete management of the annual audits for the entity
· Ensure monthly and annual Group reporting in HFM and year end bridge calculation. Posting of IFRS results and calculation of monthly/quarterly/annual adjustments to accounts (e.g. FX revaluation, bad debt).
· Ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual accounting requirements.
· Completion of monthly closing and IC reconciliation.
· Ensure all general ledger accounts are reconciled on a monthly basis.
· Liaise closely with the group finance team to ensure the accounts reflect the operations of the business as efficiently as possible.
· Responsible for preparation of the Wärtsilä Voyage Sweden company tax declaration.
· Handle all documentation to different Authorities
· Responsible for all VAT reporting and other tax reporting
· Handle Chemical Tax declarations on behalf of Wärtsilä Voyage Limited and Oy
· Responsible for the accurate posting and payment of salaries for the entity
· Monitor the actual financial status of the projects (construction contracts) in comparison with planned figures. Identify and report projects with high risks e.g. where the payments are well overdue or the actual cost is higher than planned. Request and file quarterly confirmations from PM.
· Deputy board member and member of the local management team
· Send electronic invoices as well as scan any physical invoices received to Readsoft software for internal authorisation/posting
· Manages the scrapping requests of fixed assets and stock
· Responsible to update the rolling forecast when required during the year
· Contact person for banks, Tax Authorities, Companies Registration Office (bolagsverket)
· Any other ad-hoc tasks that are finance or office related
· Bank signatory in SEB, Swedbank, RBI and ATB. Approve payments and send it to the relevant bank
The below will enable you to succeed in this role:
· Qualified accountant with 5 years experience in a similar position
· Experience of working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and SAP

We are now looking for an IT Engineer - Simulator Projects to join our growing Simulation Engineering & Support team in Europe of five, working for a better future.
The preferred location for the position is in Gothenburg Sweden, but also Helsinki Finland is a possible location. We offer the possibility of hybrid work, but a lot of this role will involve traveling to customer sites.
What you will be doing
In this position, your work will include maintaining both computer software and hardware, as well as installing and commissioning new simulators while providing excellent customer service. On a typical day, you might start with installing a new visual system and end the day with remotely updating classroom software. You will not be working on this alone, even though the work requires a high level of independence, as you will have support from project managers and the rest of the simulator and support team.
For us to be the best match, we expect you to have an understanding in computer networks and software system deployment and experience of working with low voltage electronics. As an ideal candidate, you have gained experience from deploying and maintaining computer systems and have a related degree. For you to succeed in the position, we hope you have good troubleshooting skills and customer support competences and be passionate about technology.
As IT Engineer - Simulator Projects, your work will focus on these responsibilities:
Conduct installation and commissioning of simulation systems
Perform maintenance visits to customer sites
Maintaining good relationships with our customers managing support requests
Coordinating project plans together with Project Managers
Preparation of the System Design and Facility Requirement documentation
Collaboration with subcontractors and external partners
Participating in sales phase product scoping

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:
2 to 3 years of IT computing experience or a related bachelor’s degree

Som Serviceingenjör i Field Service Resources-teamet kommer ditt dagliga arbete att kretsa kring att utföra Field Service-aktiviteter på marina och landbaserade installationer med Wärtsilä-motorer och utrustning. Du kommer också att utföra overhauls och reparationer av Wärtsilä-produkter i vår verkstad i Göteborg. Ansvarsområden och uppgifter:
· Utföra Field Service-aktiviteter enligt scopet för arbetet.

Kvalifikationer:
· Examen i maskinteknik eller ett liknande utbildningsområde, alternativt en akademisk examen, gymnasieexamen eller examen från en teknisk / yrkesskola (helst marin, mekanisk eller USCG) med kvalifikationer erhållna genom arbetslivserfarenhet.
· Erfarenhet av och kunskap om 4-taktsmotorer.

Enheten i Kalmar har idag 26 anställda och goda marknadsutsikter gör att vi behöver växa. Vi ingår i affärsområde Gas Solutions med huvudkontor i Asker, Norge som i sin tur är en del av det börsnoterade Wärtsilä med huvudsäte i Finland.
I vår verkstad i Kalmar svetsar vi rör, monterar komponenter på stora bottenplattor som sedan byggs in i containerliknande moduler för leverans till kunden. Typisk ledtid för ett projekt är 6 till 12 månader.
Vi behöver nu förstärka med ytterligare en CAD-konstruktör mekanik för orderkonstruktion i Kalmar.

Arbetsuppgifter


• Färdigställa 3D-modellen från offert till underlag för tillverkning utifrån kundens specifika krav.
• Ta fram tillverkningsritningar och materiallistor för vår tillverkning i Kalmar, främst för rörsvetsning, komponentmontering och byggnation av husmodulerna. Även ritningsunderlag till våra leverantörer för delar som vi konstruerar men inte tillverkar själva.
• Skapa ritningar som vår kund behöver för att genomföra projektet (layout, bygglov, fundament, miljötillstånd osv.).
• Tvärfunktionellt projektarbete med verkstad, projektledare, inköp, elkonstruktion och även leverantörer.

Kvalifikationer


• Erfarenhet från CAD modellering, helst med rörkonstruktioner i Plant 3D.
• Erfarenhet från tillverkningsindustri.
• Goda kunskaper i svenska i tal och skrift då kommunikationen med verkstaden sker på svenska.
• Goda kunskaper i engelska, både tal och skrift. Wärtsilä är ett globalt företag. Många av våra leverantörer och kunder är internationella.
• Erfarenhet från konstruktion av trycksatta rörsystem samt i explosiv miljö (ATEX) är meriterande.

Wärtsilä Biogas Solution - All human activity creates waste. This waste can also be a valuable resource: Excess agricultural products, manure, wastewater sludge, household and restaurant waste are perfect raw materials for biogas production. Raw biogas can be upgraded to pure biomethane, which can be compressed or liquified and used as a low carbon vehicle fuel (bioCNG or bioLNG) or injected into the natural gas grid providing renewable energy to both homes and businesses.
Wärtsilä Biogas Solutions product portfolio consists today of biogas technologies, ranging from raw biogas upgrading to biomethane for grid injection and compression, to liquefaction into bioLNG as well as the fueling infrastructure. The product portfolio is managed and optimized with annual revisions, versions and new options that is influenced by new market areas, differences in local legislations, feedstock specifications and product quality requirements.

We build turn key gas treatment plants mainly for biogas. The plants are delivered as modules to the client’s installation site.
We are now looking for an experienced Welder to join our workshop. The preferred location for the position is in Kalmar, Sweden.

What will you be doing

In this position, you will lead the team welding stainless steel pipes for the plants we produce. You will plan resources and material but also weld. You will be working together with the team that assemble the plants.

As Welder, your work will focus on these responsibilities:
Prepare production articles for welding in our business system.
Lead and instruct our contracted welders in the workshop, up to 5 persons.
Obtain required material together with purchasing.
Responsible for supplying pipes to assembly.
Responsible for welding materials such as additives, tungsten and gas etc.
Improvement suggestions, projects.
Optimize the inventory control of pipe components and semi-finished products.

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

TIG welding license for stainless steel.
Experienced in reading drawings and 3D-models.
License fork lift and overhead crane.
General knowledge of computers, MRP systems.
Comfortable conducting improvement projects
If necessary, be back-up to other personnel in the factory.
Fluent in Swedish, both in speech and writing .
Good understanding of English, both in speech and writing.

We are now looking for experienced Superintendent E&A to join our Field Service department and you will be part of our Marine/Propulsion Controls team
Location for the position is in Gothenburg

As a Superintendent your work will focus on service and troubleshooting on remote control and automation systems for engine and propeller , commissioning and tuning of DF engines as well as preparation and documentation of reports. You are service minded with experience from Field Service work, you have ability to work independently and make decisions.

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

Certificate in Automation, Ship Electronics or equivalent
Education in the field or Technical school
Documented and relevant experienced can compensate for formal education.
Good knowledge of ship electronics and governor systems
Good English and Swedish, orally and written.

As a Regional Sales Manager you will work together with SLS Manufacturing Sites, SLS Sales Support. Vad du kommer att arbeta med
Som ledande montör kommer du att följa en anläggning från start till leverans från vår fabrik i Kalmar. En typisk ledtid är 5 till 8 månader
Som Ledande Montör kommer ditt ansvarsområde vara:
· Övervaka interna och externa resurser för att bygga anläggningen i vår verkstad, vanligt vi ca 4-8 personer.
· Monteringen inkluderar montering av svetsade rör i rostfritt stål, ventiler, pumpar, värmeväxlare och kompressorer.
· I monteringen ingår också övervakning av externa resurser för att monter väggar, isolering och ventilation.
· I varje gasreningsanläggning finns också en elektrisk installation där du behöver samordna aktiviteterna.
· Svetsning av rörstöd och andra detaljer i rostfritt stål som inte kräver en certifierad svetsare.
· Kommunicera med produktionschef, projektledare, inköp och ingenjörer.
· Bidra så att mål för kostnad, ledtid och kvalitet uppfylls.
· Erfarenhet av att driva förbättringsförslag.

För att bli framgångsrik i denna roll förväntar vi oss att du har:
· Praktisk erfarenhet av montering eller underhåll av processutrustning.
· Erfarenhet av att läsa ritningar och 3D-modeller.
· Erfarenhet av att hantera människor och projekt.

Wärtsilä Biogas Solutions is now looking to strengthen the team of service engineers. The location of the candidates can either be Sweden (Kalmar), Norway (Asker) or Denmark (Nörresundby). Today Wärtsilä Biogas Solutions has 10 European based Service Engineers primarily located in Kalmar Sweden. Globally there are 40 plants in operation, mainly in Northern Europe, that the team of service engineers support.

Wärtsilä designs and builds biogas upgrading plants and liquefaction units since more than 20 years (former Puregas Solutions and Hamworthy). Biogas is produced from food waste, sewage, manure and crops and consists mainly of methane and carbon dioxide. The upgraded biogas, Biomethane, can be used as vehicle fuel, injected into the gas grid or for liquefaction (LBG).

As a Service Engineer you work mainly on local geographical markets but also in Europe. Typical tasks are commissioning, troubleshooting, on-site service, warranty work and service remote support to our plants. You are also responsible for coordinating the work of local contractors.

Main Responsibilities:
As Service Engineer you will work in an international environment with focus on plants in the local country markets. Your main responsibilities will be:

Commissioning on site for a period of two to four weeks.
Training of operators.
Participate in trial runs and performance tests on site.
Plant optimization.
Troubleshooting and support to customers via telephone and remote connection.
Half-year service on plants with service agreements.
Warranty work.
Rebuilding and updates.
24/7 remote support on a rolling scheme.
Engineering support for sales and product development.


The job requires travel in own country and abroad. Much of the work is done in projects with tight time frames and there will be unscheduled work with short notice, so it is important to have a flexible mind to working hours and work load.

While on site you are often the only Wärtsilä representative so you must be able to take own initiatives and cooperate with the client and other suppliers. The offices located in Kalmar, Sweden and Asker, Norway support the service engineers on site.

A suitable background for this position can be commissioning, process operations or automation on ships, energy or refinery. It is valuable with experience from the following fields:

Practical and theoretical skills in mechanical and electrical installations
Pumps, compressors, valves, pressure vessels and heat exchangers.
Transmitters and measuring instruments.
PLC and operator panels.
Troubleshooting.
Process industry with pressure, chemicals, heat transfer and valves.
Work in EX environment.


That you are fluent in English and either Swedish, Danish or Norwegian is required. You need also to have worked within applicable field for a minimum of three years and have technical or engineering education on post-secondary level
