Scope of work
At Njord Survey you will start your journey through a Buddy program where you will learn from experienced colleagues in the department. As a Summer Hydrographic Data Processor, you will gain practical experience in processing Multibeam Echo Sounder (MBES) data and learn how professional hydrographic workflows operate in real projects.
This role is designed as a learning opportunity where you will build valuable skills for your future career in marine surveying and geospatial data processing.
You will be working with MBES data in both 3D and 2D environments.
The role entails, but is not limited to:

Assist in processing hydrographic survey data in accordance with project requirements


Support Quality Control (QC) checks and correction of MBES data


Help validate bathymetric and navigational equipment data


Contribute to precise bathymetric data processing


Support preparation of reports and documentation


Collaborate with team members across departments to follow project progress


All data processing at Njord Survey is office-based — no offshore work is included in this position.
Who we are looking for

Requirements

Scope of work:
At Njord Survey we have a set-up where the processing of data is carried out from the Gothenburg office while the vessel crew is responsible for collecting the data. Our lean crewed vessels typically have a crew of between 2 to 8 people depending on the vessel size and project. For this position, offshore work will be conducted onboard vessel owned by Njord Survey. Our vessels operate in Europe, where work is conducted for two weeks at a time, followed by two weeks off.
The role as Offshore Surveyor at Njord Survey includes installation, configuration, mobilization, calibration, synchronization and operation of applications, equipment and software. Surveyors perform necessary maintenance of all survey equipment and conduct troubleshooting during breakdowns. The job also includes to be responsible for the acquisition work during survey and documentation of survey performed.
A Surveyor at Njord Survey has an enthusiastic approach towards learning new systems and an interest in technology and solutions. The job includes to continuously adapt to changed circumstances and conditions to find the best way of collecting high quality data.
In this role, you will be part of an enthusiastic team who are constantly pushing boundaries to deliver our services, while having fun doing so.

Key Responsibilities
As an Onsite IT Specialist at Njord Survey, you will play an important role in ensuring the ongoing operation and development of our IT infrastructure.
The scope of the position includes, but is not limited to:
Microsoft 365 Administration: Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive) to ensure seamless user experiences.
Endpoint Management with Intune: Deploy, configure, and maintain Microsoft Intune for mobile device management (MDM) and mobile application management (MAM), ensuring compliance and security policies are enforced.
Security with Microsoft Defender: Implement and monitor Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Identity, and Cloud Apps to protect against threats, investigate alerts, and respond to incidents in close cooperation with our SOC.
Cloud Solutions Support: Manage and support cloud resources, including virtual machines, and Postgre databases, storage and networking.
On-Site Technical Support: Deliver first-line technical support for hardware, software, and local network issues, including user onboarding, device provisioning, printer setup, and peripheral troubleshooting.
Remote Access & Parsec Optimization: Administer and optimize remote access solutions such as Parsec and RDP to support graphical applications both on-site and international colleagues.
IT Environment Optimization: Support ongoing alignment of IT processes, policies, and technical configurations with ISO 27001 standards, focusing on endpoint security, access control, secure device management, and automation.

The Onsite IT Specialist will report to the company’s Survey & Technical Director and work close with inhouse users and external suppliers.
Requirements:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science
2+ years of experience in IT support, with a focus on Microsoft 365, Intune, Defender, or Azure
Professional proficiency level in English and Swedish, spoken and written.
Proven experience in on-site technical support and end-user interaction.

Scope of work:
The role as Project Manager is a full-time position located in our office in Frihamnen, Gothenburg with a spectacular view of the Gothenburg harbour.
As a Project Manager you are responsible for all steps in the project process, including to planning, leading and follow-up projects from start to finish. You will report and work close to the company’s Project Director to ensure high quality deliveries to our clients. The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

Scope of work
At Njord Survey we have a set-up where the processing of data is carried out from the Gothenburg office while the vessel crews are responsible for collecting survey data offshore. As a Mate, you will be part of the offshore crew and work close to the Master onboard. You will make sure that the vessel is operated in a safe and correct way as well as carry out preventive maintenance on vessel equipment and service systems onboard.
A Mate at Njord Survey can independently take on the role as Officer of the watch when the Master is not on duty. The job also includes to continuously evaluate and interpret the safety conditions for vessel, environment and crew to decide if the conditions live up to the established safety requirements for operation.
You will work onboard one of our vessels for two weeks followed by four weeks off from work. This is a fixed term employment (vikariat/parental leave cover) from the end of August until the end of February, with the possibility to extension.
Who we are looking for
We are looking for you who have an interest in technical solutions and preferably someone with previous experience from working on smaller vessels.
The organizational language is English and therefore you need to be able to communicate on a professional proficiency level in English in both speech and writing.
It is preferred if you have experience from the offshore survey industry and live up to one or several of the criteria list below, but this is not a requirement.
• Valid certificates of competency for working on a UK flagged vessel
• Completed course for Master of Yacht
• Appropriate and valid medical certificates for seafarers
• A valid certificate for completed Basic Safety course that is STCW approved
• A valid SRC certificate or equivalent
For this position we think that it is of great importance that you have the right personal qualities, abilities and mindset since we believe that these will determine how well you will perform and succeed in the role. We value a good seamanship and an interest in technical solutions higher than previous work experience. Having the ability to come up with solutions to problems and the drive to make sure that things get done, is key when working on smaller vessels. Others would describe you as a team player who communicates effectively with others and are happy to help a colleague out whenever necessary.

Scope of work
At Njord Survey you will start your journey through a Buddy program where you will learn from experienced colleagues in the department. As a Hydrographic Data Processor, you will have the opportunity to either learn the fundamentals of processing MBES (Multibeam Echo Sounder) data from scratch or use your previous experiences to become a key player in our team. You will be working with MBES data in both 3D- and 2D-environment.
The role entails, but is not limited to:
Monitor data quality by processing in accordance with project requirements
Perform QC (Quality Control) checks and correct errors in MBES data
Check and validate acceptance test results of bathymetrical and navigational equipment
Process bathymetric data with precision and attention to details
Provide reports and documentation to clients
Collaborate with team members in different departments to stay updated on project progress

All data processing at Njord Survey is office-based, no offshore work is applicable for this position.
