Ocean Infinity is seeking a Data Processor - Grade 2 who will report to the Deputy Data Processing Manager and work within the data processing department whilst assisting the Senior Data Processors and ensure that data processing progress meets the project specifications with no or minimum interruption.
What will you do:
Assist with processing data from acquisition to final product;



Help with work involved in project preparation in collaboration with the Senior Data Processor;



Ensure project requirements are fulfilled on all deliverables under supervision of a Senior Data Processor;



Assist the Senior Data Processors in ensuring that processing routines are continuously reviewed with respect to efficiency and quality;



Actively communicate with the Senior Data Processors, or in the absence of such the project management, to ensure data acquisition meets project requirements;



Ensure the processing logs are properly utilised;



Work within the Project group to assist with reporting;



Participate in OI’s internal equipment and software development;



Assist the Senior Data Processors produce mobilisation and calibration results, data deliverables, and report contents;



Assist with deviations to the daily workflow and/or final product, in consensus with the Senior Data Processors.


Who you are:
Fulfil the Ocean Infinity requirements for a Data Processor Grade 1 based on the IMCA guidelines;



At least 8+ projects in an hydrographic survey environment as a Data Processor;



Experience of at least 2+ years’ relevant experience as a data processor within an hydrographic survey environment;



Demonstrated experience of at least some survey types whilst working alongside numerous Asset operators, and survey contractors. Examples of the most relevant survey types include, but are not limited to, geophysical survey, visual/acoustic pipeline inspection survey and cable tracking survey;



Understanding of at least some of the most common data processing software used throughout the offshore industry, with particular focus on EIVA NaviEdit/NaviModel, Teledyne CARIS and QPS Qimera;



Good practical experience with office tools: MS Office, Google Drive, Teams, e-mail, among others;



Thoughtful, thorough and conscientious;



Interested in the others and strives for the best for the team;

The trainee will gain awareness and experience in survey, data processing and interpretation of, but not limited to, side scan sonar, sub bottom profiler, magnetometer/gradiometer and geotechnical data sets with support, supervision and help from more experienced personnel. What will you do:

Ocean Infinity is seeking a Trainee Remote Survey Operator. This will involve learning a completely revolutionary way to acquire data within the industry and be at the forefront of marine technology. Remote operators will control vessel survey systems from the comfort of the office in Gothenburg enabling discovery of the marine world through interactions with vessels operating all over the globe.

These include interactions with subsea robotics and state of the art remote solutions. The main task of a remote operator is to manage and monitor the collection of data from survey payloads. This enables us to create a complete picture from the surface to the seabed and below. Ocean Infinity is seeking a senior Geophysicist/Geologist, to be hired under a 18-months-contract, who will be responsible for leading the geophysical data processing and interpretations to meet the project specifications. Datasets include but not limited to, Side Scan Sonar (inc. Edgetech and HiSAS systems), Magnetometers, Gradiometers, Sub Bottom Profilers (inc. Edgetech and Innomar systems) and Single channel seismic data. We are looking for a person who fulfills the IMCA requirements for Senior geophysicist, enjoys working in project-based teams, who is proactive, works independently with hers/his tasks and is an active communicator.

Description and Main Purpose:
The Senior Geophysicist (SrG) is responsible for ensuring that data processing and results meet the project specifications and shall be proactive to minimize deviation from the requirements. The SrG, together with the Project geologist, works to ensure that the work done at the location (offshore, Remote Centre or Office) matches in with the geological bigger picture of the project.
OI is currently transforming operations at sea by transitioning offshore personnel to remote operations meaning that you will be asked to work both onboard vessels, in remote control centers or remotely.
What will you do:
Ability to work independently with processing and interpretation, from acquisition to final product, for a minimum of the following instruments:
Side Scan Sonar
Lead, support, act as role model and guide the geologists during the acquisition phase of the project to ensure procedures are followed and project requirements are met;
Sub Bottom Profiler (including single-channel ultra-high resolution seismic)
Magnetometer
Gradiometer
Video
Geotechnical samplers
Extensive experience of common errors and issues with geophysical data. Able to trouble shoot issues and errors both independently and with expert teams;
Actively communicate with the Offline Coordinator (OC) / Offshore Manager (OM) / Project Geologist (PG) / Project Report Coordinator (PRC) to ensure data acquisition and processing meet project requirements, and immediately report any deviations from the requirements or procedures;
Partcipate in office-based data processing, interpretation, and reporting, and in consensus with the PG lead the work forwards, ensuring that the procedures are followed, and the project requirements are met;
Regularly check that interpretation makes geological sense and that background data, if available, is used throughout processing and interpretation;
Provides feedback to the project management team and well as the department managers. This includes assessing the project and client requirements alignment with the proposed survey strategy and equipment;
Ensure that the processing logs are properly utilised and follow up on any deviations;
Assist the Process Owner in ensuring that processing routines are continuously reviewed with respect to efficiency and quality;
Make decision regarding processing that deviates from project specifications, in consensus with the Offline Coordinator, Project Geologist and project report coordinator;
Ability to take PG role for a project provided the role requirements are fulfilled.

Who you are:
Fulfills the requirements for Senior Geologist IMCA standards with 5 years’ experience;
Fluent in English, written and spoken;

Ocean Infinity is seeking a Trainee Remote Survey Operator. This will involve learning a completely revolutionary way to acquire data within the industry and be at the forefront of marine technology. Remote operators will control vessel survey systems from the comfort of the office in Gothenburg enabling discovery of the marine world through interactions with vessels operating all over the globe. Our vessels work for a wide range of clients, and we pride ourselves on looking to lead the way in green solutions. As a trainee, you will be led through the various tasks that we perform offshore. These include interactions with subsea robotics and state of the art remote solutions. The main task of a remote operator is to manage and monitor the collection of data from survey payloads. This enables us to create a complete picture from the surface to the seabed and below. You will become a key member of the remote team helping plan and lead day to day operations of the vessels initially under the supervision of senior operators.

What will you do:
Trained in all the survey systems that are currently used by the company;
Introduced to our innovative remote setup;
Remotely operate and co-ordinate offshore survey activities for a vessel under the supervision;
Support of the remote operation team.
Logging and monitoring of all data acquired by the vessel. This ranges from monitoring vessel position, underwater positioning for subsea robotic, real-time view of 3D seabed sonar data, live underwater video streams and more.
Responsible to follow outlined project plans and keep to client requirements;
Being central to the communication between all departments and co-ordinating the survey plan.



Who you are:
Degree level education;
Competent level of English;
Strong understanding of quality management such as standards, regulations, applicable policies and procedures;
Good practical experience with office tools: MS Office, Google Drive, Teams, e-mail, among others;
Integrity, credibility and maturity for confidential issues;
Strong communication skills;
Driven, proactive and able to work autonomously with little supervision towards the company’s purpose;
Critical thinking and ability to show initiative;
Open and receptive to new and different ideas.

Desirable:
Understanding of the marine environment through hobbies or work e.g. sailing, diving, surfing;
Strong interest in technology and computing.
