Job description
 
As a Translation Project Manager at QQFS you will coordinate the workflow of our translation services from request to delivery and assure the highest quality throughout the entire service chain. In addition to the management of translation projects, this role will include procurement, cost control, invoice validation, and direct communication with clients and internal stakeholders.

Your role encompasses the following
? Responsibility for the management and control of the freelancers on all translation work allocated to you, ensuring that QQFS achieves and exceeds client expectations
? Scheduling resources for translation and proofreading
? File preparation for translation i.e. proofreading using a CAT-tool
? Maintenance of translation memories
? Building and developing a network of experienced and reliable freelance linguists
? Vetting process and rates negotiations
? Setting up and maintaining linguists’ accounts in our supplier system
? Responsible for the quality control of translations
? Making sure client standards are met and deadlines are respected
? Delivery of excellent client services
 
Qualifications and required skills
? Higher education in translation, linguistics or communication  
? Project management skills
? Good knowledge of a CAT-tool, preferably SDL Trados
? Familiarity with the translation industry
? Ability to work independently
? Strong multitasking and networking skills
? Proficiency in English, since this is the official company language and all communication with clients is in English.
 
Desired skills
? Proficiency in 2 to 3 European languages
? Experience with SDL Studio 2019 is a plus
 
Working hours
Since our clients are mainly UK and US based, our office hours are 9.00-17.30
