- Elisabet Liljeblad, Sustainability & Energy Lead at Stena Teknik

About the role
As a Regulatory Advisor and Maritime Sustainability Expert, you will keep track of the development of maritime-relevant international and national authorities' rules, regulations, and standards relating to sustainability, particularly in the areas of fuels, marine life protection, and biodiversity. With the purpose of identifying and monitoring issues that may affect our maritime-related business units, you will disseminate this information to stakeholders within Stena, ensuring compliance and fostering sustainable practices.

In collaboration with the Sustainability & Energy team, you will provide intelligence for internal and external reports within the domain of sustainability. Moreover, you will actively contribute to identifying and leading sustainability and decarbonization-related activities within Stena Shipping. Another one is supporting the group with sustainability-related projects through information sharing and/or leading projects.

A vital aspect of this role is staying updated with the latest industry trends on sustainability and regulations. This entails building a strong network with relevant stakeholders, participating in seminars, training sessions, news flashes, newsletters, as well as communicating with Stena colleagues. Occasional travelling within Europe is a natural part of this job.

About You
You are purpose-driven with a passion for sustainability. You value teamwork but are also independent with a strong sense of ownership of what you do and find it easy to lead projects to their end goal. Curiosity and eagerness to learn are both key features in your personality.

To succeed in this role, you need to be structured, communicative, outgoing, and driven. You are not afraid to make your own decisions or advise the business on questions related to your service delivery. You have excellent networking skills and seek continuous updates to stay relevant within your field.

Through strong business and commercial awareness, you will be successful in this role. We also see that you have expertise in the regulatory domain focusing on sustainability. Solid financial knowledge and analytical skills, as well as fluency in English, enable you to perform tasks efficiently and communicate with our different stakeholders.

About us
At Stena Teknik, you will be part of a team of 20 ambitious colleagues. Together, we are the technical resource for Stena's marine-related business areas and are committed to developing safe, environmentally friendly, and effective operations for the Stena Group's vessels.
