Develop and enhance the HMI platform with a focus on scalability, flexibility, and customer-centric design.

Vi söker dig som
Har minst 3 års erfarenhet av mjukvaruutveckling för inbyggda system främst i C eller C++.
Innehar relevant eftergymnasialutbildning inom datavetenskap, elektronik, mekatronik eller liknande tillexempel med inriktning inom programvaruutveckling och IT-infrastruktur.
Har erfarenhet av olika mjukvarusystem.

You and your skills 
•    Degree in Computer Engineering and equivalent work life experience.

Job description
As a Linux Software designer at Frontgrade Gaisler you will primarily be responsible for the development of embedded system software, from specification to implementation and documentation. It is an opportunity to take part in a dedicated team around the Linux development for our LEON/SPARC32 and NOEL-V/RISC-V processors. As part of our software team, you may also be involved in supporting development of instruction simulators and hardware debug software tools support, which are tightly coupled with our SoC solutions. The Linux software environment is developed based on open-source projects where you will be involved in public discussions from time to time.
Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate with at least 10 years of applicable experience within embedded systems development such as SW/HW integration, device drivers, communication protocols and real-time systems. Your experience should also include:
Embedded operating systems such as Linux and bare metal C
Device driver design, or Linux kernel programming skills
SoC computer architecture understanding, such as bus communication or ISA
The development is mainly performed using C programming, but also using SPARC/RISC-V assembly, C++, and scripting languages.

If you have multiple years of embedded Linux experience or have previous experiences as a team leader, this can also be an opportunity as a team lead.

At Software Engineering Office we are responsible for the execution of the complete SW deliveries and activities cross Engineering We secure the program for complete SW and own the Software execution plan. We ensure and run development of all associated PMTi and assurance processes. The Data team manages a broad scope including development and operations of data management systems, KPIs, data post-processing, data specifications, various software tools and planning systems. Work Description :
We are now looking to increase our team with an additional SW Release Engineer, responsible for developing an automated process for building and testing software, which is constructed with model-based design and C-code. We use Zuul together with Git and Gerrit as the basis of our CI tool chain. At Domain Test & Integration, we are developing test environments for new platforms and programs within Volvo cars business unit - Software & Electronic Platform (SWEP).  We design rigs and provide test infrastructure for software and electronic integration. This role is not about manual testing, nor it is about writing tests for the software itself. This role is about building test environments that run automated tests and manages its infrastructure, and about creating tools, scripts and frameworks that enable developers to write tests themselves. In this role, you will help us increase the quality and reduce the risk of releasing faulty software through automation. 

As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to participate in the entire process from design of our rigs(Vector HIL)  to fault tracing and maintenance. You will be a part of improving tools and processes to be able to increase our efficiency when we scale up number of rigs.  

You will develop and configure simulation software for integration into an operational test environment. Create health and regression tests and connect rigs to CI toolchain, to make sure that our rigs meet our own and other stakeholders test needs.

Assignment and Scope 

The purpose of Volvo Cars’ Steering department is to create the best Steering system to our customers when it comes to Safety, Sustainability and Steering Feel.

Our operational philosophy revolves around continuous integration and deployment, with new releases every six weeks. The Core System and the department of CIS are right in the center of this massive operation. We at CIS balance and secure the system characteristics for the Core System (i.e. “SW-on-HW Core System”). We are the guardians of coherence, orchestrating the releases, setting the technology roadmap for the future to ensure that our software always runs as smoothly, efficiently and safely on our platform as possible. Our department consists of several teams including a team of senior architects where this position is hosted, development teams and testing teams. 

What you’ll do 

Your responsibility will be System Safety Engineering for the core system, both the platform and all the vehicle functions that are implemented as software components running on it. The work includes safety analysis and risk assessment of the defined system design, covering methodologies such as FTA, FMEA and FMEDA. It also includes defining the Technical Safety Concepts for the product and identifying Technical Safety Requirements. Compliance towards ISO 26262 and working according to Volvo Cars defined system safety processes is an obvious part of the responsibility. The role requires a lot of collaboration with colleagues in the team, with other teams within Core System and other parts of R&D

What you'll bring

•   10 years of experience in SW engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field. 
•    At least 2 years of experience as a System Safety Engineer/Functional Safety Manager or equivalent role for a software project.
•    Experience in risk assessment and analysis methodologies (HARA, FTA, FMEDA, FMEA) and processes/methods/tools for functional safety
•    You have proven experience in defining processes based on your knowledge of any international functional-safety standard, possibly ISO 26262, IEC 61508, IEC 62304, ARP4754, DO-178C, from the Automotive-, Medical-, or Aerospace industry, or similar 
•    You communicate clearly and concisely, in written and spoken English. 
•    You thrive in situations where the answer is unknown, but the challenge is in finding a solution that is an optimal tradeoff between the needs of different stakeholders. 
Meritorious:
•    Experience with development in safety critical software
•    Experience with one or more of automotive Safety, Cybersecurity, quality standards.

Din roll som utvecklare:
Samarbeta med ett dynamiskt team, antingen på kontoret i Göteborg eller på plats hos kunder runt regionen, med viss flexibilitet för distansarbete.
Arbetet som främst skall utföras är att skapa och sätta upp visuella servrar till olika containerapplikationer.
Uppdragen spänner ofta över hela utvecklingscykeln från systemering, arkitektur och design till implementation och verifiering.


Vem är du?
Vi söker dig som har relevant universitets-/högskoleutbildningoch tidigare arbetslivserfarenhet som mjukvaruingenjör med erfarenhet inom molnutveckling.Du är duktig påKubernetes ochbehärskar svenska och engelska flytande i både tal och skrift.Vidare ser vi att du har god samarbetsförmåga då en stor del av arbetet inkluderar samarbete med resterande kollegor i teamet.

Rollbeskrivning:
For our client we are looking for a Software Engineer - Deceleration & Steering.

Software Development: Design, develop, and maintain software for automotive steering systems, including Electric Power Assisted Steering System (EPAS), steer-by-wire, and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) related to steering.


Control Algorithms: Develop and implement control algorithms for steering systems to ensure precise and responsive vehicle handling.


Requirements Analysis: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyse software requirements for steering systems, ensuring alignment with overall vehicle design and performance goals.


System Integration: Integrate software components with hardware steering systems, ensuring seamless functionality and performance. Work closely with hardware engineers to define software-hardware interfaces.


Testing and Validation: Develop and execute test plans for steering software validation, including unit testing, integration testing, and system-level testing. Utilize simulation tools and real-world testing environments to ensure software reliability and safety.


Debugging and Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve software issues and bugs related to steering systems. Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to enhance software robustness.


Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for software design, development processes, and user manuals related to steering systems. Ensure documentation is up to date with industry standards and best practices.


Compliance and Standards: Ensure software development processes comply with automotive industry standards, such as ISO 26262 for functional safety and ASPICE.


Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of the latest advancements in automotive steering software and technology. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and the adoption of new methodologies and tools.


Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, product owners, and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of high-quality steering software solutions
