Assignment description
You will help define the lighting solution for vehicles—across both interior and exterior—by conceiving, simulating, and prototyping advanced lighting concepts that merge brand identity, safety, and emotion.


You will work within the Technology & Innovation department, collaborating with Exterior/Interior Design, CMF, UX, and Engineering to deliver future-forward lighting implementation that meets regulatory and performance targets.


Qualifications and skills required for the role

Key responsibilities:
- Create and deliver lighting concepts for interior and exterior systems (ambient, functional, and communication lighting).
- Develop lighting solutions that match the vehicle's design character and technical constraints, suggesting light integrations into the vehicle's form (surfaces, gaps, joints, materials).
- Translate brand DNA into iconic lighting signatures and dynamic behaviours (e.g., welcome/farewell, charging indication, Interior Light themes, ADAS-linked signals).
- Use the lighting toolchain (visualisation, simulation, VR) to validate light effects, integration, and feasibility.
- Create and lead engaging presentations or prototypes that effectively convey intent to stakeholders and suppliers.


Good to have:
- Experience with advanced interactive lighting technologies (OLED panels, AR overlays, projection/DLP).
- Understanding of optics, light guides, materials, and human-factors considerations in vehicle interiors.
- Experience working in or with automotive design studios and Tier-1 suppliers.
- Experience with material/light interaction in interiors (UGR/glare analogues, luminance planning).

Developing layouts and packaging solutions for future architectures involves many stakeholders, such as crash safety, NVH, Dura and manufacturing. The person needs to have a lot of experience in how vehicles are set up and how to integrate components and systems for effective architectures. Since the team are dealing with all components in the vehicle, a good understanding of how the components/systems work is beneficial. It is a must to have good communication skills and enjoy working in teams.

Qualifications and skills required for the role

This role requires experience (15 years or more) within vehicle integration.


Candidate should be able to take on tasks with high autonomy and be very familiar with how to integrate systems/parts in the vehicle.


Candidate should be comfortable to lead other functions (such as body structure, powertrain, chassis) so all systems can be fitted in the vehicle in a good way.

Role description
• Exterior Concept Development Support
- Lead exterior ideation and early-phase and production design providing proposals for
advanced and production programs.
- Develop strong proportions, form language, and conceptual directions aligned with the design identity.
- Prepare and deliver professional, structured presentations for senior management in both Sweden and China.
- Ensure clarity of communication, alignment of decisions, and efficient progress across time zones and cultures.

• Vehicle Architecture Integration
- Work closely with Studio Engineering, Vehicle Architecture, Platform, and CAS teams to align design intent with technical constraints.
- Help to define key volumes, supporting package development, ergonomic considerations, and section strategies at concept stage.
- Assess feasibility regarding BIW, powertrain layouts, battery placement, ADAS packaging, aerodynamics, cooling, lighting systems...

• Team Leadership (On-Site)
- On-site role at the Gothenburg Design Studio, including daily leadership of the Sweden exterior design team members.
- Guide designers of various seniority levels toward refined proposals and consistent design quality.
- Ensure effective collaboration with CAS, Alias, Blender, and physical model teams to secure accurate 2D3D translation.
- Requires frequent travel to China (Shanghai, Hangzhou, Ningbo) to support design reviews, workshops, and executive presentations.

Qualifications and skills required for the role
• Professional Experience
- 20+ years of experience in automotive design, including exterior design, advanced concept development, and vehicle architecture work.
- Strong international background with OEMs and/or advanced design studios.
- Demonstrated ability to lead early-phase design and present at executive level.

• Technical Skills
- Deep understanding of vehicle packaging, BIW structures, mechanical layouts, aerodynamics, ergonomics, and EV platform requirements.
- Ability to guide Clay and CAS/A-Class surface development and collaborate effectively with modeling teams.
- Familiarity with HMI/UI/UX integration, lighting engineering, and cross-disciplinary
workflows.

• Leadership & Cultural Skills
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and clear articulation of design concepts.
(Proficiency in Mandarin could be an asset).

Structural Design and Layout is a newly formed team in this company. Their work is mainly focusing on early phases in the development cycle on the architectures in the group. The team is also creating packaging layouts (geometrical set ups, CV specs) for various architectures and vehicles. Architecture development (meaning part design and integration) involves many stakeholders, such as crash safety, NVH, Dura, Integration and manufacturing. Therefore, the person needs to have a lot of experience in how to design solutions to fulfill requirements from all stakeholders. It is a must to have good communication skills and enjoy working in teams.
Qualifications and skills required for the role
This role requires experience (20 years or more) within structure design for automotive.
The contractor needs to have deep knowledge of sheet metal forming, HPDC casting and how to design mega casting structures in a good way.

The Integrations Engineer in the digital people & culture team you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex integrations between various systems, applications, and platforms. In addition to hands-on technical work, you will collaborate with a team of engineers, architects and stakeholders, providing guidance, and ensuring the successful delivery of integration projects. 

Key Responsibilities and Scope
Design, develop, and implement robust integration solutions using APIs, middleware, and other technologies.
Ensure seamless data flow between systems by building and maintaining efficient and scalable integrations.

Experience
5+ years of professional experience in integration engineering, with a specific focus on HR systems and cross-system data flows.
Proven track record of designing, building, and maintaining complex integrations across enterprise applications.
Experience in technical leadership, guiding integration teams and ensuring successful project delivery.
Hands-on involvement with cloud-based integration services, particularly within Microsoft Azure or equivalent environments.
Experience troubleshooting integration issues, performing root cause analysis, and applying sustainable fixes in production environments.
Collaboration experience with cross-functional teams, including engineering, architecture, product management, and business stakeholders.


Skills Required:
In-depth understanding of integration architectures and patterns, including APIs, middleware, and data synchronization techniques.
Strong knowledge of HR domain systems and processes, particularly related to SAP SuccessFactors and HR data models.
Familiarity with integration platforms such as Azure Logic Apps, MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, or comparable tools.

Collaborate with software, hardware, and calibration teams to ensure software functionality aligns with system requirements.
Implement functional safety requirements in compliance with ISO 26262.
Develop and maintain real-time control software for automotive applications.
Conduct Software-in-the-Loop (SiL), Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL), and vehicle testing to validate software performance.
Optimize CPU and memory usage to ensure efficient execution of embedded software.
Troubleshoot and debug software issues using tools such as CANalyzer, CANoe, and Vector DaVinci Developer.
Maintain software version control and documentation using Git, SVN, or similar tools.
Ensure cybersecurity compliance by implementing secure coding practices (ISO/SAE 21434).
Develop AUTOSAR-compliant application software for automotive ECUs.
Create and test Simulink models for control strategies and embedded applications.
Integrate control algorithms with middleware and low-level drivers.
Perform unit testing and system validation in both virtual and real-world environments.
Work with software architects and system engineers to define software requirements and architectures.
Debug and optimize real-time software performance in embedded platforms.
Implement diagnostic and fault detection strategies for vehicle systems.
Participate in Agile development processes and software reviews.
Support continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) of software updates.
Document software specifications, test results, and development processes for traceability.


Required skills:
Embedded Software Development – Experience in developing real-time embedded applications.
AUTOSAR Architecture – Knowledge of AUTOSAR Classic and Adaptive Platform.
Programming Languages – Proficiency in C, C++, Python, and MATLAB/Simulink.
