Verksamheten drivs enligt ömsesidiga principer, vilket innebär att överskott går tillbaka till de försäkrade. Förvaltat kapital uppgår till ca 13 miljarder SEK.

VFF Pension består idag av 14 medarbetare och vi har vårt kontor på Lindholmen. 

IT-avdelningen, som idag består av 3 personer, söker nu en person som vill arbeta med utveckling och förvaltning av VFF Pensions egenutvecklade försäkringssystem. Arbetet sker inom formen för DevSecOps med stöd av vår driftpartner Volvo IT.

Arbetsuppgifter och ansvarsområden

•    Webbutveckling i Java, JSP, Maven
•    Databashantering med hjälp av . För närvarande används Oracle. 
•    Arbeta enligt scrumbaserad process i GitHub och VS Code
•    Förvaltning och nyutveckling av VFF Pensions egna försäkringssystem 
•    Driftssättning och övervakning av applikationer och servrar
•    Sårbarhetsanalys av servrar och kod (SCA/SAST)
•    Löpande kontakt med våra samarbetspartners, främst Volvo IT och HCL
•    Intern IT-support i verksamheten
•    Bevaka och utvärdera befintliga och nya teknologier inom IT
•    Delta i och driva olika projekt

Lämplig bakgrund

•    Relevant akademisk examen
•    Minst några års arbetslivserfarenhet
•    Du har en god kunskap och förståelse för utveckling och förvaltning av system baserade på Java och Maven.
•    Erfarenhet av databasintegration via och JDBC
•    Erfarenhet av att arbeta i både Windows samt RedHat Linux-miljöer 

Det är meriterande med grundläggande kunskaper i Spring och/eller erfarenhet av databasmigrering från Oracle till Postgre.

Key responsibilities
The main responsibility of the role is to bridge business problems and technical solutions within the product area for Map Tracking.
You will be a part of Map Tracking core team and have a tight collaboration with the development team, and a close collaboration with our sister teams, that develop products that have dependencies to the map.
Finding the best solution for a business problem will be the core working process. In practice this means analysis, design and enhance existing services for the future and innovation for new features. The mentality of the role shall be to drive the design of micro services for the Map Tracking product in Tracking & Planning area, learn our development platform and collaborate with many teams.
Characteristics of the role are:
Through a holistic solution view, design services optimized both for business need, costs and maintainability
Describe structures, characteristics and other aspects of the design for development teams, both frontend and backend
Drive reviews of architecture concepts and solutions

Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), ideally with AWS CDK
Deep understanding of software engineering best practices, including automated testing, observability, security, performance optimization, and maintainable code design.
You have several years documented experience from assignments in designing and developing systems in close cooperation with customers
Ability to inspire, develop and motivate individuals and teams
Strong interest in process improvements and ability to create structure
Have capacity to execute against set targets and a “can do” attitude
Ability to establish and maintain good relations with your internal and external partners

Are you passionate about building robust, secure, and adaptable data environments for the future of autonomous vehicles? We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our innovative team. In this role, you will establish and maintain high-quality data environments, ensuring consistent and secure access for all authorized users. You will work closely with multiple project and product delivery teams, providing data engineering leadership and end-to-end support throughout the data lifecycle. As a key interface with stakeholders, you will deliver scalable data engineering solutions that drive our mission forward.


The role
In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining the backbone of our data infrastructure. Your primary focus will be on data pipeline development, where you will design, develop, and maintain robust pipelines for uploading, ingesting, extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL/ELT) data from a variety of sources into our data lake. This includes implementing advanced ingestion techniques and managing multiple file formats, with a particular emphasis on time series data such as Mcap and MDF4.
You will also take ownership of database and data lakehouse management, architecting and maintaining both relational and non-relational databases to ensure scalable, high-performance data storage and retrieval. A key part of your work will involve designing and optimizing our Data Lakehouse solution to enable unified analytics, efficient governance, and seamless integration of structured and unstructured data. Ensuring robust security, access controls, and compliance across all data platforms will be a critical responsibility.
Maintaining data quality is essential, and you will participate in rigorous testing and monitoring to guarantee accuracy and integrity throughout all pipelines. Additionally, you will create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data pipelines and architecture, actively updating team resources in Confluence and contributing to roadmap discussions. Knowledge sharing and supporting ongoing maintenance within the team will be part of your day-to-day activities.
Collaboration is key in this role. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues, review colleagues’ code and deliveries, and uphold clean coding practices and high standards. Your problem-solving skills and ability to foster teamwork will ensure the success of our data initiatives.

Key Technical Competencies:
5+ years of hands-on Data Engineering experience
Deep knowledge of Data Engineering methodologies and tools
Experience with ETL/ELT, data mesh architecture, and containerization (Docker)
Proficiency in Airflow, Foxglove, and advanced data ingestion
Strong skills in Python, Postgre, and working with measurement data (MDF4, mcap)
Experience with Databricks, hybrid storage solutions, and Data Lake architectures
API development using FastAPI, Apache APISIX
Data modeling expertise: schema optimization, schema evolution, and enabling data visualization (API, Power BI)
Big data systems: PySpark, Spark, Hadoop (or equivalent)
Image data engineering and/or LiDAR data processing
Data ingestion for vehicle data and experience in autonomous vehicle development

Qualifications:

Develop electrical simulation models by measuring in trucks. Sometimes adjusting models from suppliers, some times black-box models and for some components also modelling based on internal HW modelling.
Develop System Modeling, by combining multiple models, and exploring use of Test Cases that can be repeated rather than ’manual evaluation’.
Meritorious to have:
As the person on the team performing most measurements in trucks, you are also supposed to be supportive and take CAN-logs etc needed for SW debugging, as majority of the Power Management engineers are located in Bangalore. So a supportive mindset is highly appreciated and Driving Licence, C, makes it easy for you to take trucks into various garages to measure indoors when applicable.

As a VAT Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and compliant VAT reporting for Swedish Volvo legal entities. Your main responsibilities will include preparing VAT returns and reports, supporting foreign VAT registrations, and handling excise duties. You will work closely with colleagues across the organization, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.

In this role, you will ensure that all VAT reporting meets Swedish regulations, Swedish GAAP, and internal AB Volvo guidelines and quality standards. Key Responsibilities
• Define and manage both functional and non-functional requirements, and interfaces for camera-based human vision systems.
• Develop and maintain system architecture and integration involving cameras, ECUs, and vehicle networks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (hardware, HMI software, test, safety, software platform, etc.) to ensure system functionality and performance.
• Support verification and validation activities, including test planning, issue analysis, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with Volvo system engineering standards, functional safety (ISO 26262), cybersecurity (ISO/SAE 21434), and legal demands such as R158 and R46.
• Act as a technical bridge between suppliers, internal teams, and project stakeholders.

Qualifications
• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Proven experience (3+ years) in automotive system engineering, preferably with camera-based or perception systems.
• Knowledge of embedded systems, sensors, and vehicle communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
• Familiarity with system design and requirements management tools (e.g., SystemWeaver, Polarion, DOORS).

What you will do
As an?Embedded Software Engineer, you will be at the heart of the development of future realtime SW platform. You will?work with the specification and design of software architecture, implement, verify, integrate, and test embedded software, as well as develop test frameworks. We can offer you both fun and exciting challenges.?
The software platform includes, for example, low-level MCU drivers, device drivers for all connected peripherals, and CAN and Ethernet communication stacks. Other features are the real-time OS configuration, diagnostic event manager, and ECU power management.

Your future team
In our team, SW Platform - Vehicle, part of the Embedded Platform Factory in Vehicle Technology, we develop embedded solutions for full electric/hybrid powertrains, hydrogen technologies, engines, and transmissions, climate systems for the complete Volvo Group. In practice, we develop the next-generation embedded software for all our platform in-house control systems, and we are now in search of new innovative coworkers. The work consists of specification and review of function and SW requirements, but also development of new functions and customer features. You will support internal customers, the aftermarket, production and end customers. You will perform tests in vehicles as well as tests in virtual and real environment. About us
Our team, 'Cybersecurity Infrastructure Capabilities' is in the heart of a great transformation. We are a central team within the Volvo GTT consisting of Cybersecurity Architects and Experts. We work with developing cybersecurity infrastructure requirements (also called CS System Specification), supporting teams and continuously improving the product cybersecurity management system (PCSMS). What you will do
Our mission is to develop and maintain Cybersecurity solutions for our Vehicle platform & infrastructure, both conceptual and Architectural wise. Enable products, managing & governing End-to-End Integrity of cybersecurity solutions in Volvo Group Products. Provide cybersecurity architectural concept and release Cybersecurity infrastructure requirements/ specifications to ensure end-to-end implementation involving various stakeholders.

Our Organization - Group Finance

Group Accounting & Consolidation is a function within Group Financial Reporting & Business Control. We are responsible for Volvo Group’s consolidated external and internal financial reporting, as well as the governance of the Volvo Group financial consolidation process. We have the overall responsibility to manage policies and principles to support the finance community in financial reporting and accounting within the Volvo Group. Transport solutions are a vital part of the modern lifestyle we live in today. At Volvo Group we are committed to driving prosperity by improving our technologies. The future of autonomous and driver-assist systems hinges on their ability to operate safely, efficiently, and comfortably behaving in ways that are intuitive and human-like. For heavy-duty trucks, this challenge is magnified by complex dynamics, significant variations in mass, and the high impact of driving style on fuel consumption. 
Our department Customer Features Verification focuses on various features, including vehicle fuel/energy economy, CO? emission, performance and drivability. We are hands-on when conducting physical tests, performing cutting-edge data analysis and complete vehicle simulations to evaluate these features. 


About the thesis work

This project aims to develop a sophisticated, two-tier intelligent driver model that leverages machine learning to learn complex vehicle behavior from data and emulate nuanced, human-like driving strategies. The project builds upon an existing validated longitudinal vehicle dynamics model in Simulink, replacing the current physics-based controller with an advanced machine learning approach. 

The driver model will consist of: 
* Driver Intent Model (Behavioral Layer): A high-level module that learns human-like driving decisions, mapping driving context (speed error, distance to stop, lead vehicle behavior, road grade preview) to smooth, realistic acceleration profiles using imitation learning techniques. 
* Pedal Mapper (Control Layer): A low-level module acting as a learned inverse model of the truck’s powertrain and brake dynamics, translating desired acceleration into precise pedal commands. This will be implemented using MLP-based (Multi-Layer Perceptron) neural networks with online adaptation capability through Recursive Least Squares (RLS). 
* Safety & Comfort Supervisor: A supervisory layer enforcing critical constraints including jerk limits, pedal rate limits, and Time-to-Collision (TTC) guards. 


By utilizing imitation learning, neural networks, and online system identification techniques, this intelligent driver model will improve vehicle control performance, enhance human-like driving behavior, and contribute to safer autonomous driving solutions. 
A critical component of this thesis is the full integration and comprehensive validation of the developed driver model into the existing Simulink vehicle dynamics environment. You will systematically evaluate the model’s performance against a comprehensive set of KPIs, including control performance (RMSE of acceleration tracking, stop position accuracy), human-likeness (jerk profiles, headway distribution vs. human data), safety & plausibility (pedal command overlap, TTC violations in car-following scenarios), and efficiency metrics (proxy for energy consumption). This integration and validation work will ensure the model’s readiness for real-world deployment in autonomous and driver-assist systems. 
The MSc. thesis proposal has a scope of 30 ECTS credits (suitable for one student). 
Project start: January/February 2025.

About you

We expect that you are finishing your studies in Automotive Engineering, Control Systems, Mechanical Engineering or similar. You should have excellent proficiency in MATLAB & Simulink and be familiar with Python. A solid theoretical foundation in Control Theory (e.g., PID, state-space models), and good understanding of fundamental Machine Learning concepts (Supervised Learning, Neural Networks) are required. 
Background in vehicle dynamics, system identification (e.g., RLS), or reinforcement learning is a plus. You should be comfortable implementing algorithms from first principles in code.

Strong understanding of multiple control frameworks such as COSO, SOX, ISO, or others.
Excellent project management, analytical, and communication skills.

The Data Privacy and AI Compliance Counsel reports directly to the Volvo Group Chief Privacy Officer and is responsible for legal advice (including to the Group Privacy Office) and further developing and driving the implementation of certain parts of the Volvo Group’s global data privacy and AI compliance program.

What you will do

Act as a subject-matter expert on Privacy and AI in the Volvo Group and advice on legal and compliance matters including interacting with the Group Privacy Office as and when needed to support on matters of high complexity and high risk.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

As Crisis & Risk Taskforce Leader you functionally lead a team of case leaders responsible for reacting and recovering to select unforeseen supply disruptions impacting the Volvo Group. From that standpoint, your department is playing a key role in the success of the Volvo Group. The case leaders are a mix of direct Volvo employees, borrowed resources from other departments, as well as external resources when resource flexibility is needed. Your approach to crisis resolution is always cross-functional, and your team works closely with our supply partners to solve issues. Your team is responsible for the interface with Tier 1 partners, but when necessary they involve Tier N suppliers and seek support from the Tier N management team. You are action-oriented, you act with speed and you maintain composure even under stressed situation. You act as a coach for your team members.

The Lead Engineer for BESS Aftermarket Engineering will oversee the technical support maintenance, and enhancement of Battery Energy Storage Systems post-deployment. You will act as a technical support expert for BESS installations, addressing and resolving complex issues.
In this role, you will take part in developing and implementing maintenance strategies to ensure system reliability and performance and to analyze performance data to recommend and implement upgrades and optimizations. You will also act to support field diagnosis of customer issue in the event of high severity underlying problems impacting system performance or availability.
Furthermore, you will also take the role as the technical lead for liaison with third-party commissioning and maintenance engineers, ensuring optimal performance of BESS installations, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. You will lead and mentor a team of engineers in the Aftermarket Engineering department and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless support and service delivery.

The Compliance Counsel Whistleblowing and Global Investigations reports directly to the Head of Whistleblowing and Global Investigations and together with his/her team is responsible for overseeing, managing and further developing the Volvo Group’s global whistleblowing and investigation procedures. As one of the crucial positions on the Group Compliance team, this position is responsible for the following tasks:  

* Support tone from the top and communication to promote an active speak-up culture across Volvo Group. 
* Monitor legal and regulatory developments, ensure that both reporting channels and investigation processes comply with evolving legal requirements and trends; support and coordinate implementation of legal requirements in different jurisdictions.
* Provide expert legal advice and guidance in relation to misconduct reporting, whistleblowing systems, internal investigations, and managing associated legal risks.
* Use your legal expertise to coordinate and navigate interfaces between whistleblowing, privacy and labor laws.   
* Lead and/or assist in developing policies and support strategy and content related to whistleblowing and investigation related training as part of Volvo Group’s overall compliance training strategy.
* Assume responsibility for managing selected high impact investigations, alone or together with internal subject matter experts and/or external resources. 
* Support case handlers and investigators with investigation strategy and advice. 
* Interact with authorities and industry stakeholders for best practice and policy developments.
* Manage the intake process of concerns from employees, business partners and other third parties.
* Monitor and further refine Volvo Group’s whistleblowing and investigation processes and procedures.
* Prepare and further develop whistleblowing and investigations reporting to management and other organizations within the Volvo Group.
* Cooperate and align with other functions managing and developing IT and digital processes and tools related to investigations.



All of the above tasks will require intensive collaboration and alignment with Volvo Group’s Truck Divisions, Business Areas and Group Functions. As a member of the Group Compliance function, you will work with the other members of the compliance team to address overlapping compliance topics and lift synergies.  

Group Compliance is a head-office function responsible for managing the Volvo Group anti-corruption, export control and sanctions, data privacy and competition law compliance programs. We are working in close cooperation with the legal function of the Volvo Group and all Divisions and Business Areas.
