Scope of Role

As an SQE, you have a full end-to-end ownership of your portfolio.
Your input is key to select the best suitable supplier for a sourcing award for a product.
Your work continues throughout the project to secure a quality assured project launch. After serial production start, you continue to follow and challenge our suppliers through continuous improvement work and zero default mindset.
Risk management skills are core in all three steps: sourcing, project and running production.

The surface design department is responsible for delivering the digital models of designed surfaces to engineering throughout the development process (from concept all the way to serial production). The department consists of four groups: concept, components, exterior and interior.
We are now looking for a Senior Surface Designer within the Exterior Class-A Surfacing group.
The group’s main responsible area, is to deliver DSM in the late phases of the design process (Class-A Surfacing), covering the last internal DSM gates of the programs.
The task will be to develop exterior surface models in the late phases of the design process. Main input will be sketches, rough alias models from designers and scan data from clay models combined with technical input from our studio engineers.
Requirements:
Excellent skills in Icem Surf/Alias for the digital modelling exterior team.
A good sense of form, ability to build models with class-A quality and a “nothing is impossible attitude” is required.
We expect you to be a self-going, top of the line modeler with at least 6 years of experience from class-A modelling within the automotive business.
