THE ROLE
Experienced System Design Engineer with should have already worked on-site on various projects with relevant skills and experience to perform the services.
In this role you will have a structured approach used to develop and integrate various vehicle systems, ensuring they work harmoniously to meet safety, performance, and compliance requirements. AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY
Maintain and govern the System and component requirement structure within the designated Requirement Management Tool (e.g Carweaver ), ensuring traceability and version control.
Define and secure the System Components communication interfaces including signal definitions and ECU allocation, to provide clear and actionable input for software developers.
Ensure proper alignment & documentation of System requirements and design assumptions with all relevant stakeholders, including hardware, software, testing, functional safety, and supplier teams.

EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEGDE

THE ROLE
Experienced Software Test Engineer with verification and validation of SW functionality for the engineering area of vehicle systems. Including test execution, test definition, test reporting, test case and test structure maintenance, fault report handling and fault tracing (root cause identification).
Define test systems and/or test cases suitable for automation for black box and white box testing in the areas of acceptance tests, regression tests, functional and non functional testing, E2E tests, CI, debugging at the component, domain, and complete level
AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Testing
Perform various types of tests to ensure complete functional coverage of the different vehicle systems.
Interface towards supplier and customers regarding all questions related to software
Plan test strategies aligned with each software delivery cycle.
Update test cases and/or test structure, if needed, in Car weaver if requirements or needed updates or changes requires it.
Implement new or changed test cases and/or test structure in vTestStudio for semiautomatic or automatic testing including, after debugging and QA of the test case, merge to repositories associated with CI rigs.
Verification, by testing (including automatically testing in CI), analyzing, doing measurements or review changes in SW, HW or PSIs within all planned change introductions.
Validation of CF and PF by exploratory testing.
Booking of adequate test objects for testing.
Issuing fault reports and transfer, convey and delegate to suitable receiver according to PEF
process for Fault report handling.
Review and analyze Fault reports, for testability and root cause analysis together with necessary stakeholders appointed by functional owners or system designers.
Solve and close Fault reports and Fault slip through analysis including implementing
corrective actions.
Write test reports and give verdicts of test cases according to PEF processes.
Support functional owners and system designers in requirement definition by give input on testability and previous experience of risks.
Collaborate with requirement owners to develop test systems for each PSI when/if needed.

Automation
Collaborate with the integration team to integrate test cases into nightly test runs.
Monitor and analyze test results from daily executions.
Identify test cases suitable for inclusion in CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.

Documentation & Compliance
Maintain traceability between requirements, models, and test cases in SystemWeaver.
PRST – Product System Safety Test Plan (for Safety requirements)
DVM – Design Verification Method (for Test Systems / PSI from Car Weaver)
Test reports (Car Weaver)
Necessary guides, tips and instructions needs that arise.
Support to create Safety related test documentation as per ISO 26262 standard.

EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEGDE:
Extensive experience in automotive testing and validation, preferably with exposure to exterior systems.
Hands-on experience with vehicle testing, HIL systems, and Boxcar setups.
