Main responsibilities are to assure that the Interior Digital Surface Models from Design are delivered according to agreed quality level. Secure that all technical solutions analysed in Catia V5 are maximized to meet the Design intention and deliver geometrical CAD data to all physical Design models. The work is done in close cooperation with Product Designers, Digital Surface Modellers, Design Program Managers, Model Project Leaders and Product & Quality.

Main Responsibilities

As a Senior Studio Engineer Interior, you are responsible to:
• Secure Technical Input and ensure complete Final Technical Input in program
• Implement Best Practises in current and future programs
• Participate in Interior Studio Gateways
• Secure up-to-date competence in continuity. i.e. Benchmark all competitors
• Support organisation with facts, technical information and earlier project experiences
• Be updated on existing manufacturing methods and technologies
• Support Studio Engineer Expert initiate advanced studies to meet Design intention
• Support Studio Engineer Expert in developing processes, methods & tools to secure all DSM-deliveries
• Challenge and drive new technical solutions to support Design intention

Required Qualifications
• BSc, or equivalent based on work experience
• Well documented work as studio engineer for several years
• Understanding of what is important in the different program phases
• Ability to prioritize your daily work to support Design in the most efficient way
• Ability to understand and communicate the Design intention

The work as clay modeller involves the manual modelling with clay according to given specifications, designer drawings and verbal instructions to realise design concepts and incorporate proposals for improvements in close liaison with designers and engineers. The clay modeller in a studio has to be able to carry out all aspects and techniques of clay modelling work in order to create detailed, 3-dimensional models and surfaces for the Interior and Exterior of future proposals.
Furthermore, the clay modeller has to be able to undertake precision measurements using 3- dimensional measuring equipment to create digitised data for engineering and tooling processes.

Research, create and deliver design proposals according to design brief and project constraints in assigned tasks. Deliver and prepare presentation material for reviews. Participate in design reviews. Work with and guide computer and clay modelers.
Take a design from the sketch phase to concept modeling in Alias or clay, and through to A-class surfacing.
Come up with design and engineering solutions that serve the design vision and fit with the engineering constraints.
Work with Interaction design team to create designs with excellent HMI
Work with suppliers to achieve the best possible product in terms of craftsmanship, cost, and engineering, while also staying as close to the design vision as possible.
