TASKS
A varied role awaits you here, where you will have the opportunity to contribute in your areas of expertise. The main focus of the role is C++ programming, but you will also have the chance to work on everything from the visualization of 3D environments to embedded systems programming. This is a highly varied role with a strong focus on creative craftsmanship, where the final product is simulators that offer realistic training environments.


EXAMPLES OF TASKS


Development of the simulator and training environments' level design
Implementation of machine functions and scenarios for various machines
Development of the game's 3D environments using frameworks and languages such as DirectX/OpenGL, Lua, and Python
Profiling and debugging your own code

Requirements
Experience using Unreal Engine in the game industry
Knowledge of current 3D rendering principles and shaders
Understanding of PBR content and rendering pipelines
Understanding of asset creation pipelines and workflows.
Knowledge of 3D content creation software such as Blender and Substance Painter
Excellent communication skills in English, our company language, which will enable you to collaborate effectively with your peers

As the Gameplay & Interface programmer at Box Dragon, you build fun and intuitive gameplay interactions and their interfaces. You will be working mainly with Unreal Engine 4 across Blueprints and C++, with a bit of Rust for our gameplay rules engine.
As a member of a small team, you will have the opportunity to express yourself in your work and hone your craft by working on a wide variety of challenges.
This is a permanent full-time in-studio position based in Gothenburg, Sweden.
Responsibilities
Implement interfaces using UE4 UMG and 3D interactions
Implement gameplay using UE4 blueprints, C++ and Rust
Collaborate with designers and artists to shape implementation of features

Requirements
Professional game development experience with C++ and UE4 blueprints
Can analyze and deconstruct specifications of gameplay features in order to realize them
Understanding of a player’s needs in terms of UI for modern video games
Passion for strategy and card games

As Graphics Programmer at Box Dragon, you will work with artists and programmers to realize our art style in Unreal Engine. In the process, you will research, implement and optimize rendering methods in collaboration with our art team. To support the specifics of the rendering methods developed, you will author and communicate requirements for the art content creation pipelines.
