Main tasks and responsibilities
Design and develop training courses and materials for the responsible product(s) by different technical levels
Plan and conduct training to internal and external customers globally (classroom,online, on equipment)
Assist/Develop and implement modern and advanced training tools for training bemore effective
Review and constantly improve training content, materials and methods
Execute certification processes of service personnel according to OPM
Register and maintain technical competence data of service engineers properly andcorrectly in the system
Develop and train local frontline trainers related to responsible product line, asneeded.
What you’ll need to succeed
Education
Academic degree in the fields of engineering on Bachelor level or equivalent.
Experience
Minimum five years in shipbuilding or marine industry or relevant business/productexperience
Technical background or knowledge of responsible MacGregor products
Experience in a technical / commercial role in service environment is preferred
Experience in field service jobs is an advantage.
Competencies
Good technical skills and product knowledge of the responsible product line
Understanding of technical and operational use of the marine & offshore equipment
Knowledge of classification societies requirements, service process and documentationstandards
Pedagogical skills and ability to transfer know-how/experience (technicalwriting/presentation) will be an asset
Proficient in creating and refining training courses and materials, skilled in planning,coordinating, and conducting courses, with proven experience in instruction.

In the role you will be responsible for the change management methodology and strategy, which will include change management process, tools and sustainability across MacGregor. You will also be responsible for driving the change management process within MacGregor’s key transformation programs.

What you’ll need to succeed
Relevant university level degree.

Experience with large-scale organisational change efforts.
Change management certification or designation desired.

As a Technical Manager, Cost Competitiveness, your primary focus will be to explore all aspects of control systems design across the BL’s to find possible areas for improvement and cost savings. You will work with strategic suppliers in finding cost reductions by design, component selection, and adapting to supplier
production capabilities as well as Control Systems Engineers and Product owners to encourage alignment and build a culture where design and cost is in focus. A crucial part of your role will also involve studying BL control systems cost and design to find synergies and possible cost down by utilising well proven suppliers and components as well as studying component BOM’s for both hydraulic and electric to identify components that can be standardised across the BL’s to enable a more strategic approach to sourcing.
Beyond that, you'll also:
Cooperate with BL’s to develop and focus on standardisation and or modularization.
Support sourcing and BL’s in identifying alternative components enabling dual sourcing while increasing flexibility in the choice of components when lead times increase.

What you’ll need to succeed
Education:
? M. Sc, B. Sc (Econ) Diploma in Engineering; higher technical education or long documented experience.

As a Design Leader Hydraulic you will develop and maintain the hydraulic system modules and write test instructions for evaluation of hydraulic components and systems. You will also release hydraulic drawing documents in accordance with the predetermined milestones in the EPR system. And you have the knowledge of the MGC instructions and routines.
You will also:
Handle hydraulic related issues from production, commissioning and customers.
Support service, production and commissioning personnel, as well as customers, in hydraulic system related topics.

Education
M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Engineering, specialisation Hydraulics or similar experience.

Bachelor or Master degree in science, computer science, software engineering or otherwise proven capability of being able to successfully master the position



Experience
5+ years of experience of relevant engineering and other systems
Experience in deploying PLM systems
Experience as a project manager
Hands-on experience with PLM deployments and migration activities


Competencies
Understanding of MacGregor business from key-user perspective
Good knowledge on Product Lifecycle Management
Interpersonal and communication skills
Presentation and training skills
Customer service attitude
Fluent English (corporate language)
Ability to travel internationally about 50 days per annum which may vary based on the situation
Ability to participate in rollouts which may require more extensive stays abroad.

Purpose of the position
Within the role you will be responsible for mechanical design of one item of equipment. You will design equipment according to technical requirement as defined by contract, class rules and MCG standard within given quality, time and cost.
Main responsibilities:
Follow up of design schedule
Assist DR/CM/Purchase responsible in technical discussions with customers and subcontractors
Layout design
Adapt concept to contract requirements
Interface to ship or shore structure
Kinematics of equipment through operation
Perform calculations as agreed with item responsible
Collate and archive calculations
Calculation of hydraulic cylinder operational pressure and buckling check.
Operation sequence of allocated equipment
Weight calculations and technical solutions
Detail design and production of design drawings.
Technical correctness of the design and drawings.
Planning and follow-up of allocated design work.
Design hours estimation / forecasting of allocated work
Production of technical administrative documentation
Support DR and DL with all deviations from contract with technical or commercial impact.
Attending design review meetings
Support to Purchase Function in technical matters.



What you’ll need to succeed:
B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering
1 year of hands-on experience with mechanical engineering, ideally within Marine industry
Mechanical Engineering
Rules and regulations
Design processes and routines
Production knowledge
Installation methods and practices
AutoCAD, Inventor
Teamwork



You will be working together with:
Internal: Contract Organisation
External: Shipyards and Ship-owners.

We are looking for a Service Engineer
MacGregor is a world-leading provider of cargo and load handling equipment, services and solutions delivered through a strong portfolio of trusted MacGregor, Hatlapa, NMF, Porsgrunn, Pusnes, Rapp, Triplex and TTS names.
We are looking for someone who enjoys the challenge of technical problem-solving and doing service work onboard ships around the world. As a Service Engineer at MacGregor Sweden AB you will be one of our most important contacts with our customers. We prefer that you have experience from field service work, knowledge of hydraulics, mechanics and electrical engineering, not necessarily from our business, but if so it is an advantage.
Working as a Service Engineer is definitely a service position with daily contact with customers. You will be based in Gothenburg but service work is performed worldwide and may range from advanced troubleshooting and handling urgent problems, to planned service work such as working at the ship dock.
Qualifications
We prefer that you have a degree in engineering, and a highly developed focus on customers and results. Broad technical understanding of mechanics, as well as knowledge of electrical engineering and hydraulics, is an advantage. You are self-motivated, with a capacity for planning your own work and strong communication and relationship-building skills.
