Satcube is seeking an experienced and visionary Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead our technical organisation and drive the development of both current and next?generation satellite communication products.
As our CTO, you will play a central role in shaping our technology strategy, guiding our engineering team, and ensuring that Satcube remains at the forefront of innovation in a rapidly evolving industry.
Satcube is in the process of transforming from a hardware producer to a service provider, hence the need to strengthen the software competence and system integration.
This is a leadership role for a team consisting of 15 team members, whereof 9 are permanent employees. We have a tight collaboration with universities and consultants to ensure we get access to the latest research and technology, and as a CTO you secure a professional leadership also of our external team members.
The CTO leads projects, product development within hardware and software, including embedded systems, is responsible for IP and acts system & product owner.
The CTO reports directly to the CEO and works closely with all parts of the organisation to ensure alignment between technology, product development, and business goals.
Key responsibilities
Lead research and technology initiatives to support both current and future Satcube products including evaluation of new technologies and ensuring successful integration into the product design.


Lead our product development including software, embedded software and hardware (RF systems, mechatronics, electronics, and mechanical design).


Leadership of the team working with product development and leadership of our Industrial PhD program in RF.


Contribute to long?term technology roadmaps and strategic planning. Translations of customer needs into technical requirements.


Develop and maintain Satcube’s intellectual property strategy.


Ensure compliance with relevant standards, certifications, and regulatory requirements

Who You Are

Required Qualifications
Master’s degree in Engineering (or equivalent technical education).


Deep understanding of technologies relevant to Satcube’s products, including their strengths and limitations.


Competence in system design, architecture and integration


Strong proficiency in programming languages, (Rust & C and Python).


Strong proficiency in embedded software programming.


Proven experience of delivering products (with software/embedded software) to the market according to plan including operations/aftermarket throughout the lifecycle.


Experience of products where security is critical is meritorious.


Ability to take a holistic view of system?level design, cause?and?effect relationships, and implementation trade?offs.


Excellent command of English and Swedish, both written and spoken.

As an embedded software engineer at Satcube, you’ll be working with building the embedded system for our next-generation satellite terminals, and to some extent maintaining the software of the current terminals. Your main responsibilities will include:

- Developing software targetting embedded Linux.

You will primarily be working on developing the antenna and high-frequency electronics of our future range of products. Your task involves designing low-loss, high-gain antennas in HFSS. In addition, the work includes designing transceivers in ADS capable of up and down converting the IF signal to RF and amplifying without introducing excessive noise. After simulations are finished, you would prototype, measure, and validate your designs. This work will be carried out together with our experienced engineering team.

Your task involves selecting suitable motors and gears, writing code and algorithms to control the steering, selecting sensors, implementing sensor fusion algorithms for establishing the pointing direction, manufacturing prototypes, and validating system level performance. WHO ARE WE? 
Satcube AB is a startup working in the SATCOM industry, based in Gothenburg and with production in Karlstad. Consisting of a small but strong team of professionals working on revolutionizing the satellite communications industry. The core of the company is our lightweight satellite terminal, capable of providing high speed internet to any location on earth. 
The next step is to build and promote online services so clients can buy and manage the Satcube terminal and add data capacity from their mobile phones. This is where you are needed!

Find and market Satcube to end clients and get them to; sign up for the service, explore the Satcube offer, see how it works and learn how easy it is to get started.
Build the Satcube brand online and work on major global trade shows around the world.
Assist KAM teams with data about clients, markets and opportunities.

To find clients all over the world who are interested in satellite broadband solutions.
To demonstrate the Satcube satellite terminal in online meetings.
To present tailor made solutions (Satcube terminal and data offers) fulfilling clients use cases.
To onboard clients to Satcube´s web services.
To build Satcube´s growing clients list in Europe, US and Asia.
Represent Satcube at major trade shows around the world
