Tjänsten är ett konsultuppdrag där du blir en viktig del av vår kunds Pilot Plant – en verksamhet inom Engineering som fungerar som navet för utveckling och verifiering av nya produkter och tillverkningsprocesser. Här byggs fysiska prototyper i ett tidigt skede för att säkerställa att både produkt och process håller högsta kvalitet.

Du kommer att arbeta i ett engagerat team på cirka 15 personer, där varje roll är avgörande för att leverera lösningar i världsklass.

Som batteribyggnationstekniker ansvarar du för att:

• Montera batterier enligt noggrant framtagna instruktioner, med fokus på kvalitet och tidsramar.
• Leda arbetet inom ditt ansvarsområde – från planering till färdig produkt.
• Samarbeta med beredare, konstruktörer och projektledare för att bidra med återkoppling och förbättringsförslag.
• Underhålla utrustning och säkerställa ordning i gemensamma arbetsytor för att skapa en trygg och effektiv arbetsmiljö.

Let's introduce ourselves

Volvo Cars is on an ambitious journey when it comes to electrification, aiming for 50% of global sales to be pure electrified by 2025 and with the first pure electrified cars being introduced during 2020. To ensure we can achieve and sustain a strong position in the market as an electrified OEM, it is critical to have a solid set up for how to handle aftermarket challenges for both Volvo Cars and Polestar. 
Volvo Cars Service Business will therefore implement Battery Centers in each region to secure battery pack replacement supply for the aftermarket as well as fulfilling Volvo Cars strategy for electric vehicle batteries post 1st life. Our department Battery Life Cycle Service’s purpose is to ensure hassle free usage for consumers by creating maximum value throughout the Battery lifecycle. 
The Battery Center will manage storage, analyze and repair/remanufacture as well as build BEV and PHEV battery packs. 

What you'll do


We are looking for a skilled Battery Method Engineer specialized in electrical/high voltage vehicles, to develop service & repair instructions used by Battery Center technicians globally.
Our production content includes development methods and instructions for diagnosis, repair, refurbishing and end of line testing as well as charging of stand-alone PHEV and EV batteries in collaboration with the Battery Center technicians, R&D and Manufacturing Engineering. We also evaluate new production ideas, concepts, technology and commercial performance.

Your responsibilities will be
* To create the repair methods for the High Voltage batteries.
* Align and manage your working time according to the project timeline.
* Perform work, test the methods and procedures on High Voltage batteries.
* Working with different people in different teams, in order to meet the project deadline.


What you'll bring

To be successful in this role, you have earned a B.Sc. degree or equivalent and preferably technical knowledge both in general and vehicle specific with relevant qualifications. 
It would be beneficial to have the experience working with projects, related to high voltage vehicles/batteries.
Have experience in using VIDA, TIE, VCATS, DSA, KDP, Team Center or similar systems is meritorious. 
You have excellent cross-functional working skills and experience from working with projects.
Fluency in spoken and written English is required.

Vad erbjuder vi?

Battery Life Cycle Services är en del av Volvo Cars Service Operations och vårt uppdrag är att tillhandahålla problemfri användning för konsumenterna genom att skapa maximalt värde genom hela batteriets livscykel. Vi ansvarar för tre produkter där vi utvecklar lösningar: Batterireparationer, återanvändning av batterier och återvinning av batterier. Battery Centre hanterar lagring, analys och reparation samt tillverkar BEV- och PHEV-batteripaket på beställning.
Denna tjänst är förlagd på dagtid. 

Vad kommer du att utföra?

Som Batteritekniker på Battericenter Göteborg kommer du att spela en central roll i omställningen till elektrifiering inom eftermarknaden. Du kommer att arbeta med högspänningsbatterier för både hybrid- och fullelektriska fordon, där ditt fokus ligger på felsökning, analys, reparation och ombyggnad av batteripack.

I rollen kommer du arbeta med felsökning, analys och reparation av BEV- och PHEV-batteripack, ombyggnad och nybyggnation av HV-batteripack, laddningskontroll av lagrade batterier samt utläsning av batteristatus på inkommande batterier. Dessutom ingår det att bidra med batteriteknisk kompetens och delta i kontinuerligt förbättringsarbete av interna processer.

Vem är du?

Vi ser att du har gymnasiekompetens, där yrkesutbildning inom fordonsteknik eller elektronik är meriterande. Du bör ha flera års erfarenhet inom relevant område och goda tekniska kunskaper i HV-batteripack är en fördel. Starka praktiska färdigheter och erfarenhet av att hantera maskiner och verktyg är nödvändiga, och PC-kunskap är ett krav. B-körkort är ett krav för tjänsten.

About us
Car Service Business is an organization within Volvo Cars with the  purpose to enable an effortless car usage and service experience. 
We are implementing regional battery centers to ensure we get the most out of the batteries in our electric cars. The battery center will manage storage, analysis and repair/remanufacture as well as building battery packs for electric cars.

About the position
We are looking for an expert in diagnostics and fault tracing a of High Voltage Traction Batteries, to support our Battery Centers. Our existing team are working with development of methods and instructions for diagnosis, repair, refurbishing and end of line testing EV batteries. 

What you will do
•    You will be responsible to align with Tech support on repair cases.
•    You will be “the person to go to” to help in solving difficult cases.
•    You will be responsible to evaluate and develop the diagnostic methods.
•    You will provide input to system change requests in terms of diagnostic functions.
•    You will collect input from the Battery Center Teams and create method change requests for implementation. 

You and your skills
To be successful in this role, you have earned a B.Sc. degree or equivalent and preferably technical knowledge both in general and vehicle specific with relevant qualifications. 
It would be beneficial to have the experience working with projects, related to high voltage vehicles/batteries.
Preferably with experience in using VIDA, TIE, VCATS, DSA, KDP , Team Center or similar systems for handling fault tracing.

We also evaluate new production ideas, concepts, technology and commercial performance. 
We are looking for a skilled Method Engineer specialized in electrical/high voltage vehicles, to develop service & repair instructions used by Battery Center technicians globally.

What you will do
•    You will be responsible to create the repair methods for the High Voltage batteries.

You and your skills
You have a university degree, preferably in Chemistry, Material Science or equivalent.
You have a strong interest and knowledge of Lithium-ion battery technology and experience in working with battery safety and durability testing.
Experience in testing and validation of battery packs and modules for safety is also one of requirements for this role.
It is meritorious to have experience from projects, related to high voltage vehicles/batteries and working experience with technical support and developing solutions for retailer network.
Working experience in using VIDA, TIE, VCATS, DSA, KDP, Team Center or similar systems and experience from Agile way of working are also meritorious.
Fluency in spoken and written English is required.

As a principal mechanical architect for battery enclosure, you will work in the mechanical design team. We are responsible for the structural design of the battery housing and service box. You will lead the team into the next generation of world class structural design, define the technical solutions and ensure that we meet the system design requirements for the battery housing and service box. The group is also responsible for breathing, venting and for mechanical interface to installation and together with installation defines battery matrix solution. Who we are
We are the Battery Life Cycle Services at Volvo Cars Service Business. Our new and growing DevOps organization consists of different teams organized as an agile release train (“ART”) working according to a Volvo specific agile model. Our purpose is to provide hassle free usage for consumers by creating maximum value throughout the Battery lifecycle.
We are responsible for three products where we develop solutions: Battery Repair, Battery Repurposing and Battery Recycling.
We are also operating three Regional Battery Centers to secure battery pack replacement supply for the aftermarket as well as fulfilling Volvo Cars strategy for electric vehicle batteries post 1st life. The Battery Center manages storage, analyse, and repair/remanufacture as well as build BEV and PHEV battery packs.

What do we offer?
A key activity to transition the aftermarket to electrification is the establishment of Regional Battery Centers within our aftermarket function, VCO. The purpose of the Battery Centers is to ensure the availability of HV battery packs in the aftermarket and meet Volvo Cars' strategy for automotive batteries, beyond the first life cycle. The Battery Centre functions include storage, distribution, troubleshooting, analysis, and repair/rebuild/new build of HV battery packs for both hybrid (PHEV) and electric cars (BEV).

As a Battery Operator, you will be part of the team at the Battery Center EMEA, geographically located at Volvo Cars Torslanda, one of several regional Battery Centers that are being established. You will have a unique opportunity to be part of an exciting journey of change in electrification and the building of a new function within VCO. Your responsibility will be to troubleshoot, analyze, repair, and build battery packs.
Working hours are 06.30-15.12 with the possibility of flex.

What will you do?
Your responsibilities will be troubleshooting, analyzing, sorting, and repairing incoming BEV and PHEV battery packs from our workshops, to later include rebuilding and remanufacturing of HV battery packs.
You will work on continuous improvement within your area of responsibility.  The work involves close collaboration with other functions within VCO.

You and your skills
You have a genuine interest and curiosity in electrification and enjoy taking on new tasks. As a person, you can collaborate easily with others both within and outside your team and can communicate with ease in both spoken and written Swedish and English. You are orderly and structured, always focusing on the customer, quality, and delivery.
You are experienced, accurate and skilled in automotive engineering or similar.
It is advantageous if you have good technical knowledge of HV battery packs, alternatively you have a degree in electronics.
A high school degree is required, and it is an advantage if you also have a vocational education. PC knowledge is needed as this is a tool that is used in the daily work when working with batteries.

About the position
Battery Lifecycle Services ART is responsible for all post 1st life activities for traction batteries including remanufacturing / refurbishing, repurposing and recycling.
For Volvo Cars, management of batteries throughout their lifecycle contributes to not only our circularity and sustainability targets but are also considered as a valuable assets. We ensure that traction batteries are recycled to the highest possible standard. As an increasing number of batteries come to the end of their useful life the Battery Lifecycle Services product group Recycling is now looking to strengthen the team.
What you will do
As a member of a cross-funtional team you will work on a wide variety of Epics and Features relating to the recycling of traction batteries, including but not limited to:
Ensuring that VCSO and all NSCs (National Sales Company) as well as importers are aware of and fulfil (local) legal requirements concerning battery recycling and collection.
Liaison with governmental authorities, NGO’s (National Sales Company), ACEA (The European Automobile Manufacturers' Association), other vehicle manufacturers, importer associations, national battery collectors and other economic operators in the markets to identify leverage points to ensure fulfilment of our Producer Responsibilities in the battery field. 
Follow up on all possible upcoming battery regulations together with Regulatory Affairs. 
Work pro-actively with ACEA members and be member of the respective working groups to ensure that all upcoming revisions on the battery regulation is according to the ACEA positions thus minimize the cost for the automotive industry.
Investigate and analyse the electrification eco system and its impact for Volvo Cars and Service Operations and also to follow-up and monitor the market on battery recycling technologies and collection including their geographical coverage, actors and partnerships.
Help to develop and update our Volvo Cars battery recycle strategy in coherence with our sustainability strategy and also liase with regions on battery legislation both current and future and in doing so create a knowledge library which can be referenced and updated.

Be spokesman and represent Volvo Cars in battery recycling operational related issues throughout the markets with End Of Life Vehicle laws.
Be spokesman and represent Volvo Cars in Cross brand/Governmental/ Non Governmental Organisation /Infrastructure/National associations meetings.
Who you are ?
You have a University degree or equivalent working experience preferably in the field of legislation and you are able to translate legal requirements into consequence and action plans.
Knowledge of high voltage batteries or battery recycling would be a distinct advantage.
You have international experience and you are a technical expert with knowledge of the different battery recycling processes. 
You have a successful track record of leading projects, good organizational and reporting skills.
Experience of working in an agile environment is preferable.
We value personal drive and ability to cooperate highly, as well as being solution orientated and business minded with the customer in focus.
You are fluent in English (Both verbal and written) other languages would be an advantage.

Propulsion Electric Workshop ingår i avdelningen Test objects operation som är en del av vår enhet Produktutveckling. Vi utför allt arbete på drivlinorna i Volvo Cars produktprogram och vi arbetar i alla faser av utvecklingen, från förserie till tillverkningsstart av bilarna. Vad kommer du att utföra 
Du kommer vara praktikern som till stor del av din arbetsdag kommer att prepparera, montera/ta isär, förbereda inför tester och uppdatera olika typer av HW batterier, batterimoduler och battericeller. När tester är slutförda kommer du att demontera och analysera testobjektet tillsammans med våra kunder. Vid behov kan arbete förekomma inom de andra grupperna i sektionen även resor till externa testanläggningar kan förekomma.

Du och dina färdigheter.
Vi tror att du har en utbildning inom det elektriska och/eller tekniska området eller liknande yrkeserfarenheter. Har du dessutom erfarenhet från fordonsmekaniska och/eller elektriska arbeten liksom erfarenheter från arbete med elektrifierade fordon och/eller batterier är en fördel i rollen. 

Vi förutsätter att du gillar att ”meka, är praktiskt lagd och är skicklig på engelska samt svenska både i tal och skrift. Du hanterar de flesta ”vanliga” datorprogram samt har ett öppet sinne och intresse för att lära dig nya saker inom detta område. Vi tror att du innehar svenskt körkort på nivå B och om du även har ett truckkort är detta en fördel, eftersom arbetet även innefattar en del godshantering.
