Din nya roll
I rollen som vår nya elingenjör kommer du att bli involverad i spännande uppdrag, där du tillsammans med dina kollegor är med och utvecklar morgondagens tekniska lösningar i stora industri- och vattenanläggningar samt komplex infrastruktur. Till en början kommer du främst att fokusera på projektering, men över tid och i takt med din utveckling får du möjlighet att ta mer ansvar i projekten.
Ditt huvudsakliga ansvar kommer att vara:
Konstruktion/Projektering av el-tekniska installationssystem.
Vara en del i arbetet med nya digitala lösningar som kan effektivisera våra arbetsmetoder samt kunna skapa nya affärsmöjligheter.
Samarbeta tvärdisciplinärt med olika teknikområden på Ramboll, både nationellt och internationellt.

SME Component Engineer mission is to build upon their technical expertise to provide key contribution on all stage of product and project development. About Us:
Thermal Management is a department/sub-technology stream within Volvo Group Trucks Technology with the responsibility for developing optimized Vehicle Thermal Management Systems for all the truck brands within the Volvo Group. 
In the Thermal Management Hardware Team, you will play an important role in ensuring the successful creation and deployment of a product, from initial concept through to production and maintenance.

About the Role
We are looking for a High Voltage Component Engineer, with the primary focus on battery - and fuel cells electric vehicles (BEV/FCell).
As a HV Component Engineer, you will lead component development of Electric solutions for BEV and FCEV for all truck brands and markets within the Volvo Group. You will perform this work in close cooperation with our suppliers and colleagues representing different functions in our internal cross functional network. You will also be responsible for driving the strategic roadmap for the HV components under TM responsibility, in order to meet future demands for cooling performance of different systems in fuel cell and battery electric vehicles.
As part of a thermal management team, you share with peers your progresses and target to maximize the collective output.


Main Responsibilities:
* Lead high voltage component development and create road maps for the future;
* Drive the technical dialogue with engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, suppliers;
* Contribute to system design in early stages of new projects;
* Perform D-FMEA and other proactive quality activities;
* Create component technical requirements;
* Develop and anchor time plan for component level;
* Support testing, fault tracing and builds;



Who we are looking for
A dedicated and skilled automotive engineer with a deep expertise in thermal management, electrical system integration, and cooling technologies.
Eager to contribute to develop and optimize high-performance cooling solutions, to enhance our vehicle efficiency, safety, and reliability.

Preferred Skills:
* M.Sc. degree in Electrical, Electronics or Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent
* Several years of experience from development of thermal system hardware components, preferably within the automotive or transportation industry
* Competence in circuit design, power electronics, and understanding of high voltage systems.
* Knowledgeable in automotive industry safety standards, including ISO 26262 (functional safety), and compliance with high voltage safety regulations.
* Experience from supplier management and the APQP process
* Structured way of working and ability to deliver complex tasks with excellence
* Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Fluency in English, both spoken and written.

Testing, Verification and Materials Technology (VT&MT;) is responsible for the operation, maintenance and development of heavy duty drivelines testing (engine, transmission, electromobility and fuel cells/hydrogen) and materials technology laboratories. We work both local and global to deliver high quality results and expert functions within our areas of responsibility. We co-operate close with product owners, technology owners, certification and compliance as well as other functions. We have test facilities and laboratories where a mix of theory and practical work is necessary in order to deliver and develop within present and new technologies. VT&MT; is a part of Powertrain Engineering, Group Trucks Technology (GTT) located in Gothenburg.


As a Technical Leader you will take lead and deliver a variety of development activities, where creativity, quality and flexibility are of prime importance and keys to success. You will be the technical advisor in our development projects. You will work in tight cooperation with Volvo product development engineers, maintenance and operation engineers, project managers, suppliers and subcontractors.
You will balance your time between office work and work in the laboratory. The laboratory is a domain where you not only design solutions, but you also follow-up the realization to the start of operations with the test equipment.


You will be part of the method and technical development team with different expertise areas (software, emissions, measurement, electronics, fluids, mechanical etc.) and different backgrounds (line management, project management and technical expertise).
All work together with one target: to develop world class testing facilities and methods.


Scope of your mission:
Create sustainable Solutions, Strategies & Methods aligned with Product Verification & Testing road map demands
Contribute and take lead in high level discussions regarding strategies for test cell testing
Set test facility road map for driveline and electromobility testing
Lead technical teams during technical investigations and realization of investment projects
Technical specifications and concepts related to transmission and electro-mobility testing (understand the product project requirements, translate them into rig specifications, secure common standards and define technical solutions)
Share your knowledge with the operational teams through advice and educational courses
Perform pre-studies, benchmarking and choose the best solutions in accordance to safety, quality, accuracy, reliability and maintainability by working in close cooperation with equipment suppliers and networking

Required qualifications:
M.Sc. (or similar experience/engineering degree) engineering within Automation, Electronics, Mechanical or Product Development
Experience within the area of automotive testing activities would be appreciated: in product development, test engineer or lab development engineer
Experience as team member in major projects: specifications, scheduling, budget, reporting, commissioning is a merit
Swedish and English proficiency (verbally and writing)
Holistic view and analytical ability to understand future testing demands, coordinate and synchronize testing demands into plans (test facility road map)
Business oriented person who enjoys working cross-functionally and building relationships on a local and global level
Flexible, positive mind-set and can-do attitude, with good communication skills. Solution-oriented and enjoys developing others and yourself

You will work closely with function owners, battery safety specialist to ensure zero safety incidents after launch of projects. Manage the safety attribute within ESS e.g secure that safety requirements are broken down and addressed and ensure that applicable standards are used. You continuously need to evaluate and summarized the system safety status and present to ESS Management and project management. You will participate in reviews and risk analyses and balance with internal stakeholders.

Som energisystemanalytiker tillhör du vår avdelning Energisystem tillsammans med ytterligare tolv medarbetare. Tillsammans utgör vi ett starkt team med ansvar för planering och utveckling av Göteborg Energis energisystem för fjärrvärme och fjärrkyla. Ditt uppdrag I din roll som energisystemanalytiker kommer du att arbeta med inriktning mot ekonomisk analys. Det innebär att du kommer att analysera systemens funktion och ekonomiska utveckling och föreslå systemförbättrande åtgärder.

Du ansvarar för den övergripande ekonomiska analysen av olika utbyggnadsscenarier och tar fram kalkylunderlag, investeringsbeslut och strategier med avseende på anläggningsparkens utformning, risk, bränsleval på kort och lång sikt samt utformningen av samarbetsavtal med kunder. Vidare ansvarar du för att ta fram, utveckla och uppdatera erforderliga kalkyl- och analysmodeller och för att beslutskalkyler är framtagna på ett transparent, systematiskt och kvalitetssäkrat sätt.

I din roll som energissystemanalytiker är du en del av teamet på avdelningen men ingår i även i tvärfunktionella team och uppdrag i organisationen. You will work in tight cooperation with Volvo product development engineers, maintenance and operation engineers, project managers, suppliers and subcontractors.
You will balance your time between office work and work in the laboratory. The laboratory is a domain where you not only design solutions, but you also follow-up the realization to the start of operations with the test equipment.


You will be part of the method and technical development team with different expertise areas (software, emissions, measurement, electronics, fluids, mechanical etc.) and different backgrounds (line management, project management and technical expertise).
All work together with one target: to develop world class testing facilities and methods.


Scope of your mission:
Create sustainable Solutions, Strategies & Methods aligned with Product Verification & Testing road map demands
Contribute and take lead in high level discussions regarding strategies for test cell testing
Set test facility road map for driveline and electromobility testing
Lead technical teams during technical investigations and realization of investment projects
Technical specifications and concepts related to transmission and electro-mobility testing (understand the product project requirements, translate them into rig specifications, secure common standards and define technical solutions)
Share your knowledge with the operational teams through advice and educational courses
Perform pre-studies, benchmarking and choose the best solutions in accordance to safety, quality, accuracy, reliability and maintainability by working in close cooperation with equipment suppliers and networking

Required qualifications:
M.Sc. (or similar experience/engineering degree) engineering within Automation, Electronics, Mechanical or Product Development
Experience within the area of automotive testing activities would be appreciated: in product development, test engineer or lab development engineer
Experience as team member in major projects: specifications, scheduling, budget, reporting, commissioning is a merit
Swedish and English proficiency (verbally and writing)
Holistic view and analytical ability to understand future testing demands, coordinate and synchronize testing demands into plans (test facility road map)
Business oriented person who enjoys working cross-functionally and building relationships on a local and global level
Flexible, positive mind-set and can-do attitude, with good communication skills. Solution-oriented and enjoys developing others and yourself

We, the Electrical & Electronics Engineering and Vehicle Connectivity, wiring teams, consist of 30 wiring engineers in diverse teams. We are involved in most of the projects with electrical impact. The wiring teams has the mission to develop the complete wiring harness from concept phases to serial production and maintenance with a strong focus on quality, deliveries, cost and features. The teams are also responsible to design customer adaptation wiring harnesses within the chassis area. We are responsible of the wiring harness product and all the technical releases, such as wiring harness drawings, wiring harness cad modules and other related wiring harness product documentation. Our design responsibility range from 24V traditional systems to 600V propulsion systems.
Our "office" could be located in various locations. We work in Volvo manufacturing plants, test tracks, wiring harness suppliers, prototype workshops as well as in our premises in Gothenburg. We work both in our CAD tools as well as hands-on with our components. One day could be different from the other.
Many of our projects are global, both in a product perspective and in an organisational perspective. We daily work with our many stakeholders, internal & external, national and international.


Who are you?

We believe that you have a genuine interest in automotive industry and wiring engineering and have several years of experience from product development in wiring harness, in the commercial vehicle industry or in automotive.
You are eager to learn and work with your own development. You are a team player with a strong ambition to cooperate with internal and external stakeholders. You have the ability to plan, drive and follow-up personal and work package activities. Since the role will interact in an international environment, being fluent in both spoken and written English is something we require, and experience from global work is a plus.
You have experience from wiring harness design, in product development, customer adaptation/special vehicles using Saber and/or wiring harness routing and installation in Creo or Catia. Knowledge in AB Volvo PDM system and development processes is a plus.
