Your Role

As Managing Director for the company and Head of the Product Area Air Traffic Management Tower Systems (ATM TS), you will lead our software centric business to stay the market leader in ATM systems at airports, both traditional tower solutions and digital/remote solutions, securing safe movements of aircrafts at the airports.



In this role, you will lead the world-wide business with employees in Sweden and the Netherlands, and with customers all around the globe. Your leadership team will be geographically spread, and you will also work closely together with our ATM unit in USA providing sub-systems and serving the US market, and with our unit in Australia serving the Australian market.



The ATM unit is specified in traditional Tower systems and also the pioneer in remote/digital ATM with a leading market share in this emerging market. To lead the development of remote tower business there is a separate entity that remotely operates airports in Sweden and being an Air Navigation Service Provider (ANSP), as all the customers.



The units main locations are Gothenburg (SE), Apeldoorn (NL), Växjö (SE) and Sundsvall (SE). The unit is legally organized in a parent company Saab Air Traffic Management AB, and one subsidiary SDATS for ANSP operations and one subsidiary in the Netherlands (SNBV)



ATM TS is part of the Business Unit (BU) Safety & Security Solutions, which mainly offers civil products for safety and security, within Business Area Surveillance, world-leading in sensor technology. You report to the Head of the Business Unit and is part of the leadership team for the BU.

The Senior Electrical Engineer is responsible for the overall electrical integration of the Battery Systems used in the aircraft.

You will be responsible for establishing and follow-up discussion with suppliers as well as internal stakeholders. You will be at the fore-front for assessing the supplier’s electrical designs as well as the electrical integration of the battery system into the high voltage network.

You will support the Battery Systems team at program/technical reviews and will be responsible for ensuring adherence to all engineering processes/standards.

You will report to the Head of Energy Storage Systems and your daily work will be led by the Section Lead- Battery Systems.

You will be part of a multi-functional growing team of 5 members, working closely with hardware and software integration. Your place of work will be at our main office located in Gothenburg, Sweden.
Education/Experience

- Graduate degree in aerospace, aeronautical, electrical or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in electrical design and integration in High Voltage Battery Systems (+400V) within an aerospace or automotive application.
- Direct experience of high voltage systems design, integration, and testing.
- Deep understanding of the following standards:
- UNECE R100
- ISO6469
- ISO 17409
- ISO 60664


- Knowledge of electrical safety hazards including but not limited to arc flash, arc blast, shock, etc.
- Knowledge about electrical personal safety is a plus.
- Experience with systems and equipment development programs through the entire design, development and certification lifecycle

Specific Skills/Abilities

- Experience working in an aerospace start-up environment is meritorious
- Experience working in an EASA Part 21J Design Organization or international equivalent is a merit.
- Knowledge of airborne systems engineering for safety critical systems (SAE ARP4754 and ARP4761). ISO 26262 can serve as a baseline.
- Nice to have the knowledge of airborne Lithium-Ion battery qualification standards (RTCA DO-311A)
- Nice to have the knowledge of software and hardware airborne systems design guidelines (DO-178 and DO-254).
- Proficiency coordinating activities of sub-contract and supplier companies.

We are now looking for Aircraft System Integrator to join our Avionics team in Gothenburg.

Your Mission

You will work with aircraft system integrator and transverse discipline to complete the third-party systems integration into the avionics system. This will include aircraft system control, system indication, crew alerting system and central maintenance function integration.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Providing technical leadership
- Coordinate aircraft system integration meetings with other system teams
- Elaborate and Review Interface Control Documents and interface requirements (CAS, synoptics and displays indications, maintenance) activities with other systems.

You will also represent the section at program/technical reviews as well as customer/supplier meetings, ensuring the engineering definition meets all stakeholder requirements. You will also ensure adherence to all engineering processes/standards, and participate in design reviews to meet certification, cost, and schedule goals.

You will report reports to the Section Lead of the System Integration Team. Your place of work will be at our main office located in Gothenburg, Sweden.
Education/Experience

- Experience with integrated avionics systems design including Engine Indication & Crew Alert System (EICAS),
- Experience with Inter systems integration (ARINC429 / CAN bus / Analog, discrete)
- Proficient with SAE ARP 4754/4761 processes
- Experience with avionics system certification (EASA/FAA Part 25)
- Working knowledge of Airborne hardware and software development assurance processes (RTCA DO-178 & 254)
- Working knowledge of Airborne equipment qualification DO-160
- Working knowledge of systems engineering principles for safety critical systems
- Hands on experience with the Interface Control Document / Electronic Interfaces / interface requirements such as IOs, CAS, synoptics and displays indications, maintenance.

Role Overview

We are seeking a senior level Electrical Systems Engineer to help us design and develop the electrical power storage and distribution systems. The electrical systems will include propulsion & system power storage, primary power distribution, and secondary power distribution. This will be a broad role covering design, analysis and testing.
Qualifications

-
BS or MS in Electrical Engineering

-
Minimum 10 years experience in aircraft electrical power storage and distribution systems

-
Experience with electrical systems design (ATA 24) including both high voltage and low voltage systems

-
Experience with aircraft electrical power system certification (EASA/FAA Part 23 or 25)

-
Working knowledge of Airborne hardware and software development assurance processes (RTCA DO-178 & 254)

-
A high level of proficiency in English (written and spoken)

-
Excellent communication skills

Eagerness to work within a team environment

A passion for aircraft and Heart’s mission


The ideal candidate would have

- Working knowledge of systems engineering principles for safety critical systems (SAE ARP 4754/4761)

We are now looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Battery team in Gothenburg.

Your mission

Energy Storage Systems team working with Batteries, a truly agile team, actively contributes to Heart’s mission by integrating the first battery in a commercial aircraft, the ES-30. They make continuous refinements, and performing retrospectives to grow and learn both as individuals and as a team. The Senior Electrical Engineer is responsible for the overall electrical integration of the Battery Systems used in the aircraft.

You will be responsible for establishing and follow-up discussion with suppliers as well as internal stakeholders. You will be at the fore-front for assessing the supplier’s electrical designs as well as the electrical integration of the battery system into the high voltage network.

You will support the Battery Systems team at program/technical reviews and will be responsible for ensuring adherence to all engineering processes/standards.

You will report to the Head of Energy Storage Systems and your daily work will be led by the Section Lead- Battery Systems.

You will be part of a multi-functional growing team of 5 members, working closely with hardware and software integration. Your place of work will be at our main office located in Gothenburg, Sweden.
Education/Experience

- Graduate degree in aerospace, aeronautical, electrical or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in electrical design and integration in High Voltage Battery Systems (+400V) within an aerospace or automotive application.
- Direct experience of high voltage systems design, integration, and testing.
- Deep understanding of the following standards:
- UNECE R100
- ISO6469
- ISO 17409
- ISO 60664


- Knowledge of electrical safety hazards including but not limited to arc flash, arc blast, shock, etc.
- Knowledge about electrical personal safety is a plus.
- Experience with systems and equipment development programs through the entire design, development and certification lifecycle

Specific Skills/Abilities

- Experience working in an aerospace start-up environment is meritorious
- Experience working in an EASA Part 21J Design Organization or international equivalent is a merit.
- Knowledge of airborne systems engineering for safety critical systems (SAE ARP4754 and ARP4761). ISO 26262 can serve as a baseline.
- Nice to have the knowledge of airborne Lithium-Ion battery qualification standards (RTCA DO-311A)
- Nice to have the knowledge of software and hardware airborne systems design guidelines (DO-178 and DO-254).
- Proficiency coordinating activities of sub-contract and supplier companies.
- Knowledge on charging hardware/software and communication standards.
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills in English
- Eagerness to work with others
- Passion for aircraft and electrification of the aviation industry
