Who are we?
Volvo Cars is a company on a mission; to bring traditional car manufacturing into a connected, sustainable and smart future.
Since 1927, we have been a brand known for our commitment to safety, creating innovative cars that make life less complicated for our consumers. In 2010, we decided to transform our business, resulting in a totally new generation of cars and technologies, as well as steady growth and record sales. About us
We focus on the remote functions of the Connected Experience with your Volvo car. You will work with modern tools and new interesting technologies, and every day you’ll have the opportunity to learn from your peers, influence how we work and design great things.

Your area of responsibility will be a very broad technology stack, spanning from in-car embedded solutions, Cloud backend services to Mobile app solutions on both Android and iOS. You’re not expected to have a deep knowledge of all the layers, but you will have a good understanding of the architectures and strengths/weaknesses of the different parts.

Who you are

This role acts as the SAFe Enterprise Architect within VAS. As the Enterprise Architect for VAS Solutions, you will establish a Cloud strategy and roadmap that enables the VAS Solution portfolio to support current and future business capabilities.

You will need to understand and communicate strategic themes, and other business drivers for architecture, to Domain and System Architects as well as non-technical stakeholders. You will participate in the strategy for building and maintaining the Cloud Solutions roadmap, driving own initiatives.

This is you
To succeed in this role, you need to have a passion for innovation and collaboration with extensive experience as an Enterprise Architect in logistics and/or transport planning.

The Solutions Cloud will be a melting pot of different competence areas, this means you are an effective communicator and bridge builder. You will collaborate with a team of highly skilled and motivated Domain and Systems architects from VAS Technology as well as Sales and Implementation leaders from VAS Solutions. You will also be in close collaboration with customers to understand their needs and interface integration requirements. This role will be operational during the whole value chain of a customer implementation.

More specifically we are looking for a person that can embody the following characteristics:
Extensive technical and commercial experience within the commercial vehicle industry, and you bring recognized expertise within logistics planning, transport as a service

The Vehicle team within the V.A.S. Technology organization is responsible for vehicles, machines, trailers and safety systems in V.A.S. autonomous customer solutions. We take part in all life cycle phases, from the early specification and development phases throughout the maintenance and quality phases during customer operation. We target to have our reference models library in Modelica but depending on user needs other modelling environments will also be supported.

As leader of this development you will work closely together with the users to identify improvements and new needs to support the verification and validation work in the V.A.S organization. Since simulations are used for verification of SW that needs to comply with high integrity requirements the models should be state-of-the-art within its use.
You can look forward to an inspiring journey together with enthusiastic and professional colleagues throughout the Volvo Group organization. It is important that you enjoy working with new technology and take part in continuously improving our ways of working. We would also like for you to contribute to a great team spirit.

Qualifications
As you will be working with advanced vehicle modelling, it is preferable if you have broad experience in physical modelling from relevant technology areas. The work will also include integration of models in different SW environments hence experience and knowledge in this field of work is also preferred.
You will have the opportunity to work with different cultures cross functionally, with internal as well as external stakeholders and therefore we see that you have good interpersonal and communication skills. Being fluent in English, spoken and written, is also important to succeed in this position. Other requirements that we also see as beneficiary for the role are:
