Role Description
We are currently looking for a full-time Firmware Engineer to expand the R&D team. As a firmware engineer at Elektron you will work with the complete software design chain; from product ideas, through prototype stages, to released firmwares and updates in future releases.
The embedded software team is responsible for all the programmable aspects of the instruments, ranging from digital logic to high level data management. We develop software for products to come, and we continue to improve the software long after they have been released.
Our instruments have multi-threading real-time operating systems, and may be composed of multiple micro-controllers and digital signal processors. You will be working at the application level, but you are required to interface the operating system at a lower level.
You are passionate about writing code which is reliable as well as efficient. You are comfortable working with a large existing codebase. You are self-motivated and have strong problem solving capabilities.
This is an on-site position based in Gothenburg, Sweden.
Required skills & experience
Master of Science in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar experience.
Several years of experience with C++.
Some experience with Python.
Extensive embedded systems design knowledge.
Good knowledge about multi-threaded real-time systems.
Great problem-solving skills.
Experience with software architecture and knows how to write maintainable systems.
Knows Git inside-out and is well familiar with code review.
Good knowledge of algorithms and data structures.

Role Description
We’re looking for a Project Manager to join our team at Elektron HQ in Gothenburg.
In this newly established role, you’ll have the opportunity to shape the position and lay the foundation for our Project Management Office (PMO).
Your focus will be on leading and coordinating product development projects while creating efficient structures, processes, and ways of working that strengthen cross-functional collaboration within R&D and across the organization.
This is a hands-on project management role — not a product ownership role — where you’ll drive progress, alignment, and delivery together with teams spanning Software, Hardware, Design, Product Management, Supply Chain, Finance, Sales and Marketing.

Project Planning and Execution: Ensure Elektron’s development project are executed on time, with quality and within budget.

Role Description
We are currently looking for a full-time Firmware Engineer to expand the R&D team. As a firmware engineer at Elektron you will work with the complete software design chain; from product ideas, through prototype stages, to released firmwares and updates in future releases.

Role Description
We’re looking for a structured and forward-thinking Procurement Lead to shape and drive our procurement function - with a strong focus on strategic sourcing, supplier development, and project-based procurement. You’ll be responsible for aligning procurement efforts with business goals, improving cost efficiency, reduce and mitigate risk, and ensuring quality and supply performance as we grow.
Your main focus will be on supplier negotiations, ensure contracts and frame agreements are in place, performing audits, evaluating and developing suppliers, managing sourcing projects for new products and components, and supporting long-term planning. Electronics hardware design – Specification, schematics, PCB layout.

We are currently looking for a Hardware Design Engineer to expand the R&D team further. As an electronic hardware design engineer at Elektron you will work with the complete hardware design chain, from product ideas to full production.
Key responsibilities:
Electronics design – Specification, schematics, layout
Verification – Simulations, board bring-up, design verification, compliance testing
Component/technology selection – Finding suitable electronic and specifically electro-mechanical components and communicate with suppliers
Industrialization – Managing and securing good producibility of the complete product, including mechanical parts
Product maintenance and production support
Design reviews – Reviewing within the hardware team
Process improvements – Collaborate to improve internal processes

With possible extensions to:
Mechanical design – Mechanical elements and complete assemblies.

Required skills:
Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, or similar experience
Extensive embedded systems design knowledge, digital and analog
Experience with ECAD tools
Knowing your way in the lab, including soldering skills
Good understanding of user facing components, their properties, and implementations
A structured way of working, using version control, issue trackers and similar tools
Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English)
Several years of working experience in similar field

Audio, music & synthesizer knowledge
Mechanical design and 3D CAD knowledge
Experience with production testing and a drive for testability
Knowledge in Altium Designer
Experience in leading hardware design sub-projects

We are currently looking for a VP of Supply Chain to assume the commercial responsibility for all our production and logistics.
Day-to-day tasks
?In this role, you will be managing the strategic sourcing of suppliers with regards to our finished instruments, components, PCBs and all other materials for our products and working closely with the management team such as CEO, CFO and CTO. Your area of responsibility will be to scope, find, negotiate and operate suppliers and make sure our production requirements, logistics, supply and components needs are being met at a strategic level and in line with the multi-year product roadmap.
You will lead and be responsible for the flow of material, products and information among suppliers, manufacturers and customers and will be the primary commercial interface between suppliers and Elektron.
As the VP Supply Chain, you will report to the CEO.
Required skills
Degree in business administration / legal or related field.
5-10 years of industry experience in similar roles

Role

In this role you will design, model, and together with your team implement the core digital signal processing functionality for sound synthesis and effects.

Key qualifications
MSc or equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field
Ability to prototype your ideas in environments such as MATLAB, Max/MSP, Faust or similar
