Fokus ska ligga på ökat värdeskapande i leveransen till Servicefunktionens kunder och användare genom regelstyrda processer, kunskapsstöd och arbetsflödesautomatisering som stärker arbetsmiljö, kvalitet och tillit – utan att kompromissa med datasuveränitet, etik eller rättssäkerhet. Vilket även ligger i linje med politiskt fastställda mål om effektivitet, kvalitet, hållbarhet och tillit.
Uppdraget tar sin utgångspunkt i ett förberedande strategiskt fundament inför ett bredare AI-strategiarbete med planerad start i januari 2026. Det förberedande arbetet syftar till att skapa gemensam förståelse, riktning och arbetsform för AI inom Servicefunktionen, snarare än att leverera en färdig AI- strategi. Dina arbetsuppgifter
Som designer på Nelly jobbar du i team tillsammans med fyra seniora designers. Tillsammans analyserar vi säsongens volymprodukter och trendfenomen, därefter skapar vi sedan våra egna uttryck. Din profil
För att trivas i rollen behöver du ha några års erfarenhet av att jobba som produkt- eller konceptdesigner för ett stort modebolag. Du har relevant utbildning inom modedesign och som person är du en lagspelare som samtidigt kan arbeta självständigt. Vi tror att du har ett analytiskt förhållningssätt där du är van vid att följa upp tidigare arbeten och vad som gjorde att en produkt slog igenom eller inte, eftersom du blir en viktig del i vårt förbättringsarbete. We are looking for a creative and skilled Exterior Designer to join our automotive design team. You will play a key role in shaping the future of mobility by developing innovative exterior design solutions that express a clear product message and strong brand identity.
As an Exterior Designer, you will explore and propose ideas that bring together aesthetics, function, and brand DNA. You will create 2D and 3D concepts, including sketches, drawings, and visual models, to communicate and develop design intent. Working closely with a multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to projects from the first idea all the way to production.

As part of our mission, the 91340 Thermal Efficiency team plays an important role. We’re a dynamic and engaged group, collaborating across all vehicle programs, development phases and performing CAE method improvements.

What you’ll do
As a member of the Thermal Efficiency team, you’ll contribute to minimizing thermal losses and unnecessary energy usage in our vehicles. Your primary responsibility will be performing 3D CFD simulations for cooling performance and 1D CAE simulations to forecast energy consumption of thermal consumers in vehicle programs. An important part is to continuously suggest improvement to lower the energy consumption in close collaboration with the system development teams.
The main activities as a 3D CFD / 1D CAE engineer in our team entails:
# 3D CFD simulation coupled to cooling performance and other aspect to reduce energy consumption (i.e. heat transfer in duct).
# 1D CAE forecasting: You’ll predict thermal systems energy consumption for the complete vehicle, analysing and drawing conclusions from the simulations.
# Involved in leading, planning and performing analysis in all phases of vehicle programs
# Investigate and suggest improvements to lower the thermal systems energy consumption
# Present your simulation results to various stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and actionable insights.
# Collaborate with team members to enhance our CAE capabilities and streamline workflows and take part in Method Development.
# Develop and continuously improve our way of analysing data from CAE, physical test or road vehicles using Python.
# Provide simulation results to the Analysis & Verification team, allowing them to cross-check test outcomes and identify any discrepancies.

Our sister team, 91350 Energy Analysis & Verification, handles the complete vehicle physical verification related to thermal consumers. Close collaboration between our groups is essential.

What you’ll bring
# CAE Experience: You’re well-experienced in fluid/thermal dynamics, using 3D CFD simulations (i.e. using StarCCM+) and have good understanding of 1D simulations (i.e. using GT-Suite).
# CAE pre-processing: ANSA for 3D geometry preparation is meritorious.
# Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of thermodynamics and heat transfer, essential insight into how coolant and refrigerant systems work.

Thesis Project Description
The Volvo Trucks Plant in Tuve, Gothenburg, produces heavy trucks for the global market. The high variation in specification between the trucks produced creates many challenges for the process and with the introduction of electric trucks on the assembly line the complexity of the process has increased even further. 
The process equipment on the assembly line must be able to manage the variety in the product without causing line stops.

Task:
During the axle marriage process the front- and rear axles are attached to the base module of the truck. Due to the variation in wheelbase as well as the number of axles the axle lifting equipment is positioned differently for each truck produced.
For safety reasons the gap between each axle lifting equipment is enclosed by a flexible cover, however, the current design of cover causes line stops due to intrusion of dirt and other objects.

The students shall use a structured product design method to identify stakeholders, write problem description, gather requirements, and design a new cover that fulfills the requirements.
The task will be performed in collaboration with the maintenance team and the tool designers in Tuve. 

We require the work to be performed by a team of two students. Please state the name of your partner in your application. 
Applicants without partner will not be considered.

Main location for the project group will be the assembly plant in Tuve, Gothenburg. The students are expected to spend most of the time on-site, collaborating with the engineering, maintenance, and production staff. Therefore, we require at least one student to speak Swedish.

What you will do
Your main responsibility will be to work closely with the Volvo CMF Design team developing designs for all Volvo Trucks. Your job is to lead the technical material development with consistent, functional and emotionally engaging visual experiences across a range of platforms. You will have a wide scope from exterior to interior for Volvo Trucks. In this hands-on role you will have a multitude of internal clients so communication and time management skills will be a part of your daily work.
You will be the main contact person for CMF Studio Engineering in projects and handle project related questions/requests. You will also report design technical- and timing issues in the material development to project. Furthermore, this role includes communicating and documenting handshake for supplier selections. You will act as a design CMF representative in forum outside design department regarding project related questions as well as doing strategic planning/budgeting for future material developments. Some key aspects is cross functional work with the design team, Engineering and Purchasing and to propose secure balanced and feasible optimal solutions to support and challenge design and engineering project requirements. In this position you will report to Expert Group Manager and be located in Gothenburg, Sweden.

Main responsibilities
As CMF Program Designer, you will support car programs to create the CMF Design content as well as focus on program facelifts and updates. You will also support the CMF Design team in strategic design, projects and design for sustainable solutions as needed. You will work closely with CMF Specialists and engineers as well as Interior, Exterior and UX Design teams to help create and maintain design languages across programs and promote collaborative work.
Additional tasks include:
· Collecting inspiration, materials and samples and creating tasteful mood boards.
· Conducting design trend research and benchmarking.
· Communication of CMF Design within Design and the Product Creation teams.
· Creating the best-looking colour and material choices and collections for our customers.

Required qualifications
To be successful in this role we believe that you have:
· Bachelor or master's degree in Textile Design, Fashion Design, Transportation Interior Design, Product Design or Industrial Design or similar design discipline.
· 6 - 10 years of experience in CMF design including car programs.
