What you'll need to embark We're looking for a highly motivated and responsible team player who can handle tasks and solve problems independently. A valid drivers license for Sweden


Fluency in english, both verbal and written


Previous experience with tools or mechanical practices

You will take part in designing unique components and assemblies within the shared micromobility space, pushing the limits of what is possible and industry standard. Working closely with legislation and certification and taking product requirements and user input to mass production in rapid product cycles. BACKGROUND

As Mechanical Design Engineer, you’ll be part of realizing stunning new Voi vehicles which set us apart from our competitors. Work with innovative products and suppliers at the forefront of the micromobility field, with the explicit goal of creating sustainable product offerings.

You'll be part of our vehicle team in Gothenburg that handles engineering of new vehicles as well as R&D projects, case studies and evaluation of new and existing designs. The vehicle team is responsible for the complete electrical and mechanical design. Working within the vehicle team, you'll be part of taking vehicles from the concept phase to finished products that are used daily by tens of thousands riders.

THE POSITION

- Develop design models and engineering drawings for new products and leverage team resources to complete vehicle design.

- Drive organizational and user inputs to requirements, concept to mass production.

- Working closely with legislation and certification colleges, to ensure compliance and quality of complete vehicles.

- Organize proof-of-concept studies to build working prototypes for validation.

- Work cross-functionally with other teams to develop a cleanly integrated product.

- Work with diverse teams in Sweden and China, including engineering (software, hardware and firmware), manufacturing, supply chain, operations, design and executive teams.



REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Master's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering

- Minimum 5 years of mechanical design experience

- A flair for creative problem solving in a fast-paced startup environment

- Fabrication skill, hand tools, ability to prototype quickly

- Black belt in 3D-CAD

- Deep understanding of construction methods and tooling options as it relates to volume of production

- Experience with product development from concept to validation and deployment

BACKGROUND

You'll be part of our vehicle team in Gothenburg that handles engineering of new vehicles as well as R&D projects, case studies and evaluation of new and existing designs. THE POSITION

- Develop, design and own models and engineering drawings for new components and products.

- Evaluate team design concepts and ideas in the early stage of the design process by using FEM tools.

- A diverse design engineering role with focus on structural design.

- Leverage team resources to complete vehicle design that can be mass produced.

- Working closely with legislation and certification colleagues, to ensure compliance and quality of complete vehicles.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Master's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering

- Minimum 5 years of mechanical design experience

- A flair for creative problem solving in a fast-paced startup environment

- Fabrication skill, hand tools, ability to prototype quickly

- Black belt in CAD

- Experienced with the FEM process for assemblies and components

- Understanding of construction methods and tooling options as it relates to volume of production

- Experience with product development from concept to validation and mass production

- Be flexible to travel domestically and internationally according to business necessity, up to 10% of time

As QA Engineer in our IoT Team you will be responsible for quality assurance from cloud-to-silicon and ensure our IoT and e-Scooter features are properly tested before they are deployed to our scooters in the markets.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

- Taking part in defining and implementing quality assurance and testing frameworks within the IoT and Hardware team
- Support and instrument the Scrum development teams in taking responsibility for Test Driven and Behaviour-Driven Development, Testing and Deployment
- Defining and implementing processes and frameworks for test automation and automated instrumentation of KPIs
- Taking responsibility for definition and implementation of end to end test cases as well as implementation of integration, UI and interface tests
- Enable to work on CI/CD processes across embedded and backend development teams
- Work with various frameworks and tools like QEMU, GitHub, Rest Assured, Saucelabs,Postman,Charles Proxy, Selenium, Jmeter, Jira, XRay


WE EXPECT YOU TO HAVE

- Experience in testing the embedded applications both manually and with automated test cases
- Experience in testing the backend (Rest & gRPC) systems both manually and with automated test cases
- Previous experience in Scrum, scaled agile and associated support processes
- Previous experience in testing methods such as TDD and BDD and software development life cycle in general
- Demonstrated experience in using the Atlassian suite, CI/CD automation tooling as well as industry standard test frameworks
- Solid communication skills, being comfortable working in a very dynamic and collaborative work environment

Are you an experienced backend developer with a keen interest in designing and building scalable, high performant products in a cloud environment? Our platform is based on microservices written in Golang, which we glue together using REST, gRPC, and message queues. We work closely with our data team exporting large amounts of data that help us make data-driven business decisions.

Agile is at our heart. The micro mobility industry is new and our world is always changing, learning and improving. You will find our backend community consists of highly passionate and helpful developers, where all teams are cross functional and embracing agile methodologies.

WHAT WE’D LIKE YOU TO DO

- Help us maintain and improve a scalable and reliable cloud solution for our massive vehicle fleets
- Work in a highly cross-functional edge-to-cloud team that owns all of our connectivity features
- Work closely with peer teams (like Platform, App developers and Fleet Management), and business partners (like marketing, repairing services, logistics)
- Perform large scale data processing to analyse the IoT performance and help define new product features
- Be creative and drive new ideas regarding architecture, tools, products and languages


YOUR EXPERIENCE

- 5+ years of backend engineering
- Cloud technologies like Kubernetes, cloud storage solutions and messaging queues
- Scalable cloud architecture
- Experience with working with data pipelines is considered a plus
- Experience with EMQx, Grafana, Prometheus, LWM2M is a plus

YOUR EXPERIENCE

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field
- 5+ years of experience with schematics and PCB design of embedded hardware products, preferably within the IoT or cellular domain Digital, analog, circuit design, testing, and validation experience
- Hands-on experience with lab equipment, soldering, and hardware debugging
- Able to work independently, propose tech choices and design decisions
- Expertise in all stages of hardware design, from inception to schematics and PCB layout design to production-ready designs
- Experience with bring-up of embedded ARM platforms
- Familiar with quality assurance, quality control and certification of electronic products
