RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE:

End-to-end ownership of electrical and/or hardware components from concept to production.

Defining and managing component requirements in alignment with system and vehicle needs.

Driving technical discussions and decisions with internal stakeholders and suppliers.

Ensuring component quality, robustness, and compliance with relevant standards.

Managing changes, risks, and deviations during development.

Contributing to continuous improvement of development processes and technical solutions.




YOUR PROFILE:

B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, or related field.

Experience in electrical systems and/or from hardware development from the automotive industry in Gothenburg.

Knowledge of product development processes and requirement management.

Experience collaborating with suppliers and cross-functional teams.

Strong communication skills.

Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Din profil

Kvalifikationer:

* Erfarenhet av att ha arbetat strategiskt med styr- och kontrollsystem, troligtvis i rollen som systemingenjör, systemarkitekt eller motsvarande.

* En akademisk utbildning inom relevant område.

Det är meriterande om du har erfarenhet av att arbeta med DP-system (eller andra marina automationssystem) och att utveckla strategier och arbeta med uppgraderingar av stora system.

Din roll

Avdelningen tillhör Environmental Engineering och är idag en grupp på 12 personer som ansvarar kravnedbrytning av miljökrav, beräkning av hållfasthet och verifiering av strukturell integritet. Produktmässigt arbetar vi med alla företagets radarsystem och även annan sensorteknik. Din arbetsdag hos oss kommer bestå av:

* Utföra strukturanalyser med fokus på lättvikt, hållfasthet och livslängd för radarsystem till sjö, land och luft
* Använda FEM-verktyg och handberäkningar för att stödja produktutvecklingsprocessen
* Analysera och rekommendera reparationsåtgärder för befintliga radarprodukter baserat på inspektionsprotokoll
* Samverka med konstruktörer, delsystemingenjörer och materialingenjörer för att utveckla och verifiera radarsystem
* Utföra statiska hållfasthetsberäkningar, beräkningar av strukturdynamik och utmattning för komponenter och kompletta system
* Utföra beräkningar för konstruktioner och fästelement av olika typer av material, komposit så väl som metall
* Presentera resultat för projektledning och konstruktörer samt följa upp att beräkningsresultaten ger avtryck i konstruktionens utformning
* Dokumentera resultat och slutsatser i effektiva rapporter.

Och dessutom:

* Prediktera livslängd och underhåll för radarsystem, "predicitve maintenance"
* Tolka standarder rörande miljötålighet och översätta dynamiska laster till statiska
* Samverka med och ta fram underlag till ingenjörer som planerar och utvärderar mekanisk provning

Du kommer även att ha möjlighet att delta i spännande forskning- och teknikutvecklingsprojekt, till exempel förbättringsprojekt av beräkningsmetoder eller projekt som undersöker nya material eller produktkoncept.

Din profil

Vi söker dig som är Civilingenjör, med fördel inom farkostteknik, maskinteknik eller teknisk fysik med inriktning mot hållfasthet. Vi ser helst att du har arbetat några år inom området som beräkningsingenjör och att du nu är redo för nya utmaningar. Erfarenhet av arbete med kompositmaterial eller prediktering av underhållsinsatser är meriterande och ger dig större möjlighet att anpassa rollen till din kompetens.

Du är väl bekant medberäkningsprogramvaror så som Hyperworks, MSC Nastran, ADAMS, Ansa, Meta, LS-Dyna alternativt att du har kunskap i likvärdiga verktyg. Färdigheter i Matlab, Mathcad, Python, och Ncode är meriterande. Vi tror även att du har förmågan att med hjälp av överslagsberäkningar göra bedömningar om en konstruktions hållfasthetsegenskaper.

Som person ser vi att du har ett analytiskt förhållningssätt och att du är drivande i ditt arbete. Du tar eget initiativ och ansvar och kan arbeta både självständigt och i grupp. Du uttrycker dig väl i tal och skrift, på såväl svenska som engelska

Dina arbetsuppgifter
Sektionen Environmental Engineering är idag en grupp på ca 25 personer som ansvarar för utveckling och analys av mekaniska system och hårdvara. Gruppens ansvarsområden innefattas av miljötålighet, hållfasthet, strukturdynamik, termiska analyser, samt EMC (Electro Magnetic Compatibility). Produktmässigt arbetar vi med alla företagets radarsystem och även annan sensorteknik.

Som beräkningsingenjör inom strukturanalys kommer du att ingå i sektionen Environmental Engineering och ett av de team som arbetar med beräkningar och analyser av våra radarsystem. Ditt huvudsakliga arbetsområde blir inom området strukturanalys med fokus på produkternas lättvikt, hållfasthet och livslängd. Uppgifterna innebär att du kommer arbeta med allt från kravspecificering och kravnedbrytning till och med verifiering av färdig produkt. Du kommer att arbeta självständigt men ingår som en del av ett team kopplat till olika utvecklingsprojekt som bedrivs parallellt. Du kommer arbeta tillsammans med bland annat konstruktörer, delsystemingenjörer och materialingenjörer för att utveckla och strukturellt verifiera en bred portfölj av radarsystem för sjö, land och luft.

Beräkningsarbetet innefattar såväl statiska hållfasthetsberäkningar av komponenter som beräkning av strukturdynamik och utmattning hos exempelvis komplett lastbil med radar. Du kommer även arbeta med prediktering av livslängd och underhåll hos flygande radar och ställas inför att tolka standarder rörande miljötålighet, göra kravnedbrytning och översätta dynamiska laster till statiska. Du kommer arbeta nära ingenjörer som planerar och utvärderar mekanisk provning av prototyper och färdiga produkter.

Programvara som används är Hypermesh, Nastran, ANSA, Matlab, Python m.fl. Inom sektionen bedrivs också olika forsknings- och teknikutvecklingsprojekt som du kan komma att involveras i som en del av ditt arbete. Detta innebär exempelvis förbättringsprojekt avseende förbättrad arbetsmetodik eller projekt kopplade till att t ex undersöka nya material.


Din profil
Vi söker dig som är Civilingenjör eller teknisk doktor, med fördel inom farkostteknik, maskinteknik eller teknisk fysik, gärna med inriktning mot strukturanalys. Vi ser helst att du har arbetat några år inom området som beräkningsingenjör, som teknisk doktor eller som konstruktör med inriktning mot hållfasthet och tillförlitlighet, och att du nu är redo för nya utmaningar. Erfarenhet av arbete med kompositmaterial eller prediktering av underhållsinsatser är meriterande och ger dig större möjlighet att anpassa rollen till din kompetens.

Du är väl bekant med hjälpmedel såsom Hypermesh, Nastran, ANSA alternativt att du har kunskap i likvärdiga verktyg. Vi tror även att du har förmågan att med hjälp av överslagsberäkningar göra bedömningar om en konstruktions hållfasthetsegenskaper.

Vi söker en Department Manager inom Systemsimuleringar
Vi söker dig som brinner för kundorienterat arbete och ledarskap i kombination med en ingenjörsroll och som vill vara med på Etteplans stora utvecklingsresa. Som Department Manager kommer du vara en nyckelperson i att möjliggöra tillväxtplanen inom Engineering Solutions i Göteborg.
Om tjänsten
I rollen som Department Manager har du ansvar för tillväxten av ett öppet och skickligt team av experter som arbetar med varierande uppdrag både in-house och ute hos kund. Role Description

The Platform Architect – E-mobility is overall accountable to develop, define and maintain the modular architecture on complete vehicle level in line with the product roadmaps.  
This is done by breaking down the vehicle and technology roadmaps, studying the technical alternatives and make the necessary updates to the vehicle architecture. 

We also expect Platform Architect to:

Lead and perform architectural studies and determine the needed updates to the architecture to meet future needs. 
Lead and coordinate execution of global platform development for defined projects and streams.  
Define platform prerequisites for product updates within the Volvo group. 
Work closely with technology and vehicle streams to define CAST strategies in each area. 
Define interfaces and boundary conditions in streams and projects. 

Who are you? 

We are looking for someone who has a drive and energy, and who can manage and lead technical development and balance different viewpoints.

As an experienced engineer with a long history within heavy-duty truck engineering, you have a good knowledge of the complete vehicle system, its application, and its requirements, especially related to propulsion. You can perform analysis of systems and subsystems, identifying for example mechanical, thermal, thermodynamic, fluid-dynamic and safety demands from a powertrain concept to a vehicle and vice-versa. Your holistic system view can easily identify system challenges and your engineering skills enable you to suggest potential solutions: you are a problem-solver. Since you are excellent in communicating and are responsive to others, collaboration comes easy, and you have an excellent track-record of acceptance of non-conventional technical system solutions.
Other requirements that would be beneficial for this role are:
* M.Sc. in engineering
* Solid mechanical, thermal management, thermodynamic and fluid mechanic skills

Powertrain Engineering is looking for a Combustion System Development Engineer – focus on heat management
Do you want to be part of an innovative team and work together towards a clean future?
The Heavy Duty combustion engine future will be very interesting but also a demanding challenge. There is a need to take big steps in reducing CO2 (reduced fuel consumption) and comply with the even more restricted emission legislation. Further work with alternative fuels, like non fossil fuels, gas, hydrogen and hybridization solutions will also be a part of this work. If you thrive in leading change and like to work in cross-functional teams, then we are hoping you want to join our team.


Tasks
The main task in our team is to develop, select, integrate and optimize the components/systems that affects the combustion system (e.g. piston, fuel injection system, turbo, etc.) for different engine concepts. The concepts shall than be evaluated and compared to choose the best one for our next products (engines) in order to meet our customers’ expectations on quality, performance, fuel consumption and to comply with the emission legislation.
We are working in the development process from advanced engineering to the concept definition.
The knowledge build up in the internal combustion area and development of improved work methods is also a part of the work.


You will be an important contributor in this development and specific in the heat management area (how to get the right temp, mass flow and exhaust composition to the aftertreatment system to the lowest fuel cost) by using both testing and simulation to achieve the targets. We work together in close cooperation with a network consisting of our team, the Powertrain Strategy Development combustion team, colleagues within the powertrain development (component design, simulation, software functions and the exhaust after treatment system) and external contacts such as universities and consultancy companies.
We strive to have an open and honest environment within the team/-s, where it is easy to ask each other for support when needed. The tasks can be either part of a larger long term project or short tasks to improve products currently in production.

Role Overview

Role Overview

The Senior Interior Design Engineer reports to the Section Lead - Interior Design and will support the development of the entire aircraft interior, including the cockpit, passenger cabin and cargo compartment. Role Overview

The Section Lead of Structures Stress reports to the Head of Structures & Interiors and has broad responsibility for the design of the entire airframe. You will lead a multi-functional design team, covering all structural design.

You will be responsible for providing technical leadership of the stress team. Role Overview

We are seeking senior level Electric Propulsion System Engineers to help design and develop our electric propulsion system, including the electric motors, motor controllers and variable-pitch propellers. This will be a broad role covering design, analysis and testing.

You will work in the Electric Propulsion Systems department, part of the engineering organization, and take broad responsibility for development, qualification and certification of the integrated electric propulsion management system. We are seeking a senior level Electric Propulsion System Engineer to help design and develop our electric propulsion management system, equivalent in function to a traditional FADEC system specifically developed for electric propulsion.

Role Overview

The Head of Avionics Systems reports to the Head of Engineering (Chief Engineer) and has broad responsibility for the design, development & certification of the aircraft avionics systems. You will lead a multi-functional team, covering Communication Systems, Navigation Systems, Surveillance Systems, Control & Display, Auto-flight Systems, Recording Systems and Central Maintenance System. In addition, you will be responsible for the integration of all aircraft systems into the integrated avionics architecture.

You will be responsible for providing technical leadership of the avionics systems team. As a team leader, you will also assist with organizing and hiring the avionics systems engineering team.

You will also represent the avionics systems department at program/technical reviews as well as customer/supplier meetings, ensuring the engineering definition meets all stakeholder requirements. Qualifications & Experience

Graduate degree in aerospace, aeronautical, electrical, or equivalent experience.
