Digitala Assistenten Svea är ett nationellt initiativ som samlar över 50 offentliga organisationer för att skapa en gemensam AI-lösning inom offentlig sektor. Vi arbetar holistiskt med teknik, lagstiftning, data och utbildning för att bygga en lösning som levererar verkligt värde för medarbetare i offentlig sektor.
Som MLOps-specialist blir du en del av ett tvärfunktionellt team av utvecklare och data scientists. Du kommer att ha en nyckelroll i att optimera och skala vår infrastruktur för språkmodeller och RAG-system (Retrieval Augmented Generation) för att säkerställa en stabil, effektiv och högpresterande plattform
Vi söker främst dig med gedigen erfarenhet, men vi är även öppna för kandidater med mindre erfarenhet men stor potential. Dina huvudsakliga arbetsuppgifter
Optimera och skala infrastrukturen för storskaliga språkmodeller över flera GPU-servrar
Utveckla effektiva gränssnitt mellan hårdvara och mjukvara för AI-modeller
Designa och förbättra RAG-pipelines för olika frågetyper, inklusive specialiserad retrieval med function calling
Skapa lösningar för hantering av stora dokumentvolymer i vektordatabaser
Optimera prestanda för embeddingmodeller, rerankers och andra komponenter i AI-systemet
Genomföra prestandatester och benchmarking på olika hårdvaruplattformar
Implementera monitorerings- och mätsystem för viktiga prestandamått
Utveckla intelligenta kösystem för effektiv resurshantering
Kontinuerligt förbättra systemarkitekturen för att möta växande behov
Dokumentera tekniska lösningar och dela kunskap inom teamet

About the position
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Research Scientist with a specialization in differential privacy and data science. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in applied mathematics, particularly in the context of data privacy and security. This role offers the unique opportunity to continue cutting-edge research in differential privacy, with potential for practical application and advancement in strategic areas of mathematics and machine learning.
Key Responsibilities:
· Lead and contribute to research projects focusing on differential privacy.
· Apply mathematical expertise to a variety of applications including security, anomaly detection, and operations research.

About the Data Factory
AI Sweden’s Data Factory is a national resource that includes standard storage and compute facilities as well as world-leading test and experimentation facilities. The facilities are intended as test-beds to develop next-generation training infrastructure for high-integrity, cost-efficient development of AI models.

As an example, one existing implementation in the test-bed is the Edge Learning Lab focusing on solutions for Federated Learning, Swarm Learning, and various hybrids of these. The Edge Learning Lab was established by leading Swedish and international high-tech companies in collaboration with the Swedish innovation agency Vinnova.

Currently, AI Sweden and its partners are expanding the capacity in all areas of the Data Factory to further speed up the ability to enable partners to train AI models, and to experiment, learn and develop solutions and knowledge.

In this role you will develop, operate and maintain the infrastructure and contribute to the more long-term strategy and vision for our future infrastructure and test-bed.

About the role
An AI Change Agent drives the integration of AI into valuable operational applications, connecting methods with opportunities with an eye on organizational effectiveness, infrastructure, technologies and tools.


You will work closely with our partners (corporates, SME:s, Startups, Academia, and the public sector) to identify high impact challenges and opportunities and convert them into AI use cases. You should be able to conceptualize solutions, scope and develop applied research- and innovation projects, and apply for funding when needed.You will also work closely together with some of our partners and support them in their AI maturity journey, helping them create value out of our partner offerings.


We believe that collaboration is key for accelerating applied AI in Sweden. An essential part of your daily work will be to promote and facilitate collaboration across organisations. You will manage complex collaborative projects with domain experts, technical experts, and researchers from several different organizations. During project execution, your role will be to maintain focus on the business value and impact and make sure that the projects generate actionable next steps and implementation.


You will work closely with the Node manager of the Gothenburg node of AI Sweden and the Head of AI Change Agents to plan and execute the work.


Profile:
We are looking for an energetic and curious individual with a good understanding of AI methods, systems, and how they can be applied. We expect applicants to show strong social, communications, and management skills, as well as a commitment to making real difference by enabling our partners to make use of AI. A PhD in applied AI, data science or similar is an advantage.


We expect you to have
Minimum 5 years of experience in relevant environments/roles where change or transformation of some sort has been a dominating aspect
High-level understanding of different AI technologies and how to apply them in practice, and preferably hands-on experience of applied AI or data science
Ability to explain technical solutions and project results for non-technical audiences
Capability to quickly understand different domains and organizations and their challenges
Proven project management skills and experience of leading without formal authority



Employment & location
Employment will be at Lindholmen Science Park, the host of AI Sweden, for an initial period until 20211231, with intention to extend into long-term employment.
