About the position:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to join our Gothenburg & Campus Lundby Division as the Director of Workplace Optimization. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring and driving the optimal utilization of our premises (owned and leased properties) ensuring alignment with the strategic goals of the Volvo Group by engaging with stakeholders. 
Your mission will include developing a fit-for-purpose space optimization strategy, developing the lease strategy, driving relocation projects, and implementing Volvo Group Future Workplace (VGFW) initiatives. Additionally, you will lead and develop the Workplace Optimization team, fostering growth and excellence among your team members.
As the Director of Workplace Optimization, you will be a proactive business partner for the Gothenburg & Campus Lundby Division, inspiring, collaborating and contributing to all aspects within the division. You will also play a key role in our continuous improvement journey to achieve our target image.

Your main focus: 
•    Proactively drive the agenda within space optimization, workplace experience & lease management

Required knowledge/experience:
We are looking for someone who has experience within the field. We would also like to see the following knowledge, experience and skills:
•    BSc in Real Estate, Constructions management or Engineering
•    Proficient knowledge and experience in Swedish tenancy law
•    Proven leadership capabilities and experience as line manager
•    Minimum 8+ years working experience within the Real Estate area, preferably within leases and space optimization or office relocation projects
•    At least 5 years experience from project management (project leader)
•    Negotiating and financial knowledge, how to add business value 
•    Great communication skills

Stadsledningskontoret har genom sin roll i staden ett extra ansvar i denna utveckling och kontorets chefer sätter i sitt ledarskap särskilt fokus på nytänkande, mod och uthållighet. Totalt omsluter Göteborgs stad cirka 60 miljarder kronor och har 63 000 medarbetare.

Stadsledningskontorets huvuduppdrag är att stödja kommunstyrelsens styrning, ledning, samordning och uppföljning av stadens verksamheter.
Det omfattar stadens strategiska planering, stadens uppföljning av verksamheter och dess resultat, det personalpolitiska uppdraget/arbetsgivarpolitiken, beredning av beslutsunderlag, utförandet av särskilda uppdrag, utveckling av stadens styrmodell samt ägarstyrning av stadens bolag. Vidare ingår ledning och samordning av stadens verksamhet, liksom uppsikten av all verksamhet inom staden oberoende om denna genomförs av nämnder eller i bolagsform. Stadsledningskontoret ansvarar för övergripande kommunikationsfrågor.

ARBETSUPPGIFTER
HR- och kommunikationsdirektören ingår i stadsledningskontorets ledningsgrupp med ansvar att driva och utveckla stadens strategiska arbete inom HR-området och kommunikationsområdet, med utgångspunkt från Göteborgs Stads förhållningssätt och en värdegrund som byggd på öppenhet och följer mänskliga rättigheter. Arbetet sker genom områdets chefer och medarbetare och i nära samspel med övriga delar av stadsledningskontorets uppdrag och processer, bland annat behövs ett nära samarbete med området Utveckling och hållbarhet som ansvarar för ledarskap, medarbetarskap och organisationskultur.

Ansvaret och uppdraget innefattar att driva och utveckla Göteborgs Stads arbetsgivarvarumärke och arbetsgivarpolitik med fokus på att skapa bästa möjliga förutsättningar för kompetens-försörjning och för staden att vara en arbetsplats där chefer och medarbetare trivs och utvecklas för att nå uppställda mål. Vidare att utveckla Göteborgs Stad som en kommunikativ organisation som utgår från våra målgruppers behov, är enhetlig och effektiv. Direktören arbetar tillsammans med två avdelningschefer, HR respektive kommunikation och cirka 30 medarbetare på området varav en i rollen som förhandlingschef. Direktören får ett särskilt uppdrag att utveckla samarbete och synergieffekter mellan de två professionerna inom HR och kommunikation.

Stadsledningskontoret leds av stadsdirektören som tillika är förvaltningschef för kontoret och VD för Stadshus AB. Kontorets ledningsgrupp består av stadsdirektören och sex områdeschefer. Kontoret har totalt 16 avdelningschefer och cirka 200 medarbetare. Ledningsgruppens syfte är att stödja stadsdirektören i att övergripande planera, leda och följa upp kontorets verksamhetsuppdrag, personalfrågor och ekonomi. Ledningsgruppen ska ge chefer och medarbetare förutsättningar att utföra sina uppdrag genom bland annat strategisk inriktning, prioritering, resursfördelning, löpande vägledning och återkoppling. Ett fokus ligger på övergripande verksamhetsutveckling och ledarutveckling.

Stadsledningskontoret genomför hösten 2023 en översyn av organisationsstrukturen och förändrad organisation ska enligt plan införas februari 2024. Målet är att utveckla en än mer effektiv organisation som bättre kan möta de utmaningar och krav som ställs på kontoret i en föränderlig omvärld.

KVALIFIKATIONER
Viktiga ledaregenskaper för ny direktör är att med tydlig styrning och ledning kunna skapa organisatoriska förutsättningar för att säkra verksamhetens mål och leveranser. Du ska förstå och kunna hantera samspelet mellan politik och profession. Du ska också kunna möta massmedia, framträda i media och skapa förtroende. Du har förmåga att utveckla organisationskultur som bygger på och skapar tillit och transparens, som leder till en trygg och god arbetsmiljö.

Vi söker dig som har erfarenhet av att leda i en komplex och stor organisation. Du har erfarenhet av arbete i en politiskt styrd organisation, och erfarenhet av att driva utvecklings- och förändringsarbete med gott resultat. Du har också erfarenhet av strategiskt HR-arbete, intern och/eller extern kommunikation och erfarenhet av arbete i strategisk ledningsgrupp där du företrätt ditt expertisområde. Du har relevant akademisk examen kompletterad med ledarskapsutbildning/ utveckling, gärna med ytterligare koppling till högre studier eller forskning inom området.

Som person har du förmåga att inspirera, klargöra riktning och vara mottaglig för nya möjligheter och lösningar. Du är öppen, trygg och stabil och har förmåga att på ett naturligt sätt inkludera och lyfta fram dina medarbetare. Du har också förmåga att se helheten i förvaltningens och stadens uppdrag och kan samordna, samverka och samarbeta med många intressenter. Du kan hantera komplexa frågor och har god analytisk förmåga.

The Vice President, Human Resources Europe will take on responsibility for developing a comprehensive human capital strategy for Plasman’s European operations with 6 manufacturing plants (Gothenburg, Simrishamn, Gent, Raufoss, Strakonice, Carregado) and 2 high functioning engineering and administration offices. In addition we have had strong years of Business Awards and we are currently in detail planning for a large new Green Field Operation in Eastern Europe. This role will be responsible globally for the development, co-ordination and performance in the area of Health, Safety & Wellbeing for Volvo Trucks. You will report to the VP Strategy & Workforce Planning in Global HR.
 
Mission
 
We have very clear aspirations within Volvo Trucks to ensure that our working environment is safe and employees are free from serious harm. Your role will be key in driving awareness and understanding of all aspects of health, safety and wellbeing and that all our markets have a consistency in expected standards. Success in this role will mean building a strong network with leaders in order to support our aspiration for zero lost time accidents. It is crucial to be able to challenge and influence key stakeholders in order to change mind-sets. You should also understand what the future workforce expects from an attractive employer in order that we take progressive steps as an organisation in the area of health, safety and wellbeing.
 
Main activities and responsibilities
Manage and utilise the H&S network within Volvo trucks, to develop understanding, process and the organisational culture to enable a foundation for a safe and healthy place to work
Prepare the organisation for the health and safety impacts of the new disruptive technologies and associated business structures
Have a key role in developing governance, policies and procedures in our future Electro mobility products and services
Train, coach and challenge senior leadership and management teams to close competence-, behaviour- and knowledge gaps
Develop strategic activities and assessment methods in order that Volvo Trucks improves sustainably in the field of health, safety and wellbeing
Ensure understanding and compliance with Volvo Group Safety directives.
Benchmark and provide management information regularly in respect of health, safety and wellbeing key indicators
Support root cause investigations of accidents and injuries in order that remedial action is taken and mitigating procedures are shared to all relevant parties
Represent Volvo Trucks within the Volvo Group functional working group for Health & Safety
Co-ordinate with GTO & GTT in relation to risks, modifications or process improvements when needed
Review training and educational support available and develop additional educations when needed. Liaise with Volvo Group University on our safety training portfolio
