Om jobbet
Som inspektör arbetar du med ärenden inom egeninitierad verksamhetstillsyn, vilket innebär att det kan röra sig om ärenden inom hälso och sjukvården, tandvården och socialtjänsten. Du kommer arbeta tillsammans med avdelningsjurister för att myndighetens bedömningar och beslut sker i linje med gällande lagstiftning vilket även kan innebära inspektioner på plats i olika verksamheter. Vi arbetar tillsammans nationellt och du har arbetskamrater runt om i landet. Du kommer i ditt arbete att komma i kontakt med såväl vårdgivare och personal som allmänheten. Som medarbetare på IVO får du dessutom möjlighet att tillsammans med engagerade och kvalificerade kollegor genom egeninitierad verksamhetstillsyn få möjlighet att bidra till en säkrare vård och omsorg.

Dina huvudsakliga arbetsuppgifter kommer bland annat att:


• handlägga ärenden inom egeninitierad verksamhetstillsyn
• göra juridiska bedömningar inom ärendeslaget
• vid behov delta vid inspektioner
• hantera inkommande remisser.

Tjänsterna är en tillsvidareanställning med sex månaders provanställning med placering i Göteborg och Stockholm. Resor i tjänsten kan förekomma.

Kvalifikationer
Vi söker dig som har:


• juristexamen 
• minst två års aktuell och för rollen relevant arbetslivserfarenhet från offentlig sektor
• god förmåga att uttrycka dig på svenska i tal och skrift
• körkort för manuellt växlad bil.

För att lyckas i rollen behöver du ha god samarbetsförmåga och en hög integritet. Vidare kräver rollen att du är trygg i din profession och har ett gott omdöme. Role description

Some of your responsibilities will be to:
Primary point of contact for inventors from idea to invention to patent creation and through patent lifetime.
Proactively guide and work in close relation with engineers/development projects for IP creation and to further the IP plan, such as by conducting patent harvesting sessions, IP innovation workshops, or driving activities with engineering to support IP Business domain to enact and follow through on the Group IP plan.
Provide assessments and advice to engineers, development activities, and managers, including senior management, relating to creation of own IP rights, as well as risks regarding third-party patent rights.
Manage patent portfolio (including evaluating invention disclosures and prosecuting patent applications) for at least one business sub-domain to protect inventions of interest to the Volvo Group.
Acquire technical and business knowledge within relevant business sub-domains.
Challenge third-party patent rights to leverage Volvo Group’s leading technology position including offensive post-grant proceedings.
Defend Volvo Group’s patents in post-grant proceedings.
Participate and advise stakeholders in strategic collaborations, due diligences, in- and out-licensing, sale and acquisition of IP, such as by assessing IP risk, creating IP strategies supporting negotiations, structuring the IP framework in agreements, and evaluating third-party patent portfolio.
Support IP legal team in litigation (defense and enforcement).
Drive business transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Our IP Business Office, to be established in its current format when you have joined, is key for the continued success and development of our IP operations. The team will consist of seven team members; one assistant, three IP paralegals and three IP intelligence analysts; working in close collaboration with the other teams and having deliveries also to other colleagues and functions within the Volvo Group.
The IP Business Office will have a focus on continuous improvement of the department’s and the office’s deliveries and be responsible for matters around our IT-system and tools for intellectual property rights, strategical searches and analyses, inventor remuneration set up, alignment of supplier relationships, KPI/PI measurements and follow up, internal and external communication activities and our IT budget and roadmap, as some examples.
As Vice President Business Office you will be a member of our Volvo Group IP management team, consisting of three additional Vice Presidents and led by SVP Legal & Group IP, closely working together in a collaborative, supportive and transparent way. In your role you are expected to drive and suggest synergies in department activities and steps needed for the department to continuously evolve and develop.

I din roll som Paralegal är ditt primära ansvar att stötta IP-teamet genom att proaktivt underhålla verksamhetens immaterialrättsliga skydd av innovationer (patent, design, copyright), domännamn och varumärken. Du blir en del av vårt IP-team bestående av CIPO (Chief Intellectual Property Officer) och patentingenjörer, men du kommer även att samverka med vårt Legal-team och understödja licensering och bolagets affärsutveckling. Provide advice on patent-related matters, such as patent opposition, appeal, freedom to operate, including validity and infringement, as well as classification and use of proprietary patent rights and portfolios
Manage external IP firms in connection with patent related-services, including requirements, compliance with service items and quality of services and work products
Provide input on the Volvo Group IP Plan
Keep abreast of the development of patent law and practice of major jurisdictions
Provide support, as applicable, to IP Legal, Trademarks & Designs and others, in contentious and/or enforcement patent matters, IP-related agreements and M&A matters

Education and Experience
Technical degree, i.e. Master of Science or equivalent
A minimum of 3-5 years of experience working as a Patent Attorney, experience as a consultant and in-house are both valuable to us
Preferably you are qualified as a European Patent Attorney, or you are part qualified with the ambition to qualify. Preferably, you have at least a few years of post-qualification experience or relevant similar experience
Expert knowledge of patent law and practice of major jurisdictions, including obtaining and defending proprietary patent rights and challenging third party patent rights
Expert knowledge of rendering patent-related opinions, e.g. patentability, opposition, freedom to operate, validity and infringement opinions
Good English communication skills, both oral and written are essential.

We are currently recruiting for a Global Intellectual Property (IP) Manager to our HQ in Gothenburg, Sweden. This role is part of the Legal Affairs unit and will proactively provide professional value-adding IP advice and support to the global organisation.

Key Accountabilities:
Implement, develop and execute on IP strategies.
Encourage team work, innovation and raise IPR awareness
Support IP control in e.g. contracts Management of assigned portfolio.
Represent Molnlycke towards governmental offices in relation to e.g. IP prosecution, appeals, and third party oppositions.
Play an active role in IP rights enforcement - court litigation and/or customs.
Lead and participate in IP committees with stakeholder participants from R&D and Commercial.
Proactively provide IP advice, identify and effectively address IP related opportunities and risks in relation to new product development.
Effectively manage external counsel and service providers.
Provide general as well as tailor-made IP trainings.
Support in budgeting and forecasting of IP related cost.
Perform and present IP competitive intelligence IP due diligence and integration for licensing and M&A.

Key Decisions:
Risk mitigation concerning third party IPRs with possible bearing on commercial activities, such as product launches
IP filings and portfolio management

Competencies:
Excellent English language skills
Broad business understanding and ability to adjust support and advice to the different needs of various parts of the organization

Significant knowledge in European and US IP systems

Qualifications & Experience:
At least 5 years of experience from working with patents and other IPRs in industry, agency or private practice

This role can be based at either our stunning campus in Gothenburg, Sweden - a site we've designed with collaboration in mind, which is the home to 2,500 employees, from 50 different nationalities - or Cambridge which is our vibrant head office in the UK.



Taking on a role that bridges science and legal practice, you'll be a global business IP advisor. This will entail managing patent portfolios for assigned projects and products, and keeping up to date with emerging legal and pharma developments to help set and implement the global IP strategy in your area in collaboration with the Senior Patent Director.



Key objectives will be to identify and manage all associated IP risks - presenting them to IP, legal and business teams. You'll craft strategies for the filing, prosecution, maintenance and defence of patents in your portfolio against third-party challenges. You may also work on business development deals or coordinate our response to legal changes in a particular country or region. Managing external spend to meet budget targets will also be part of your role.



Main Duties and Responsibilities

Independently lead all aspects of build, maintenance and defence of specific patent portfolios
*

Actively counsel members of Research & Development organizations to identify new inventions as well as devise and implement strategies for patent protection over the extended drug development life cycle
*

Build and implement global strategic approaches toward building patent portfolios and contributing to increased business value
*

Prepare and prosecute patent applications worldwide including effectively managing outside counsel as needed
*

Lead all aspects of large intellectual property estates in AstraZeneca`s core and opportunistic therapeutic areas
*

Evaluate and monitor patent portfolios of third parties
*

Develop and communicate IP guidance to partners across the business, including within R&D, Business Development, commercial and legal
*

Review and analyze license agreements and other contracts
*

Provide IP and technical analysis in support of patent litigation



Essential Requirements

*

Fully qualified UK or European Patent Attorney, with previous experience of handling pharmaceutical patent portfolios
*

Excellent degree or equivalent in chemistry or biochemistry
*

Strong core patent prosecution skills and ability to independently lead patent dockets and portfolios in multiple markets and jurisdictions



Desirable Requirements

*

Education to Ph.D. level or equivalent, and/or several years of laboratory experience in the relevant scientific area, chemistry preferred
*

At least three years of relevant experience in life science patent prosecution with global portfolios
*

Experience in the biotech and/or pharmaceutical industry
*

Combined in-house and law firm experience preferred
*

Experience in leading external service providers
*

First-hand experience of IP-related litigation
*

High level of integrity and motivation, ability to work independently
*

Ability to balance multiple tasks and projects with constantly evolving priorities
*

Ability to be an enterprise leader for the organization
