You will work with process support and upgrades of boilers in the Pulp & Paper sector. The team works in close cooperation with our local Service Center in Gothenburg as well as the Service centers in Asia Pacific, China, South America, and North America.
Your main task is to work together with our area organization to support our customers with:
Act as product specialist
Act as product engineer in sales projects and during project execution
Develop technical solutions
Participate in sales meetings with customers
Make product presentations
Participate in global product team meetings
Perform site support including trouble shooting and customer’s operator training
Follow up and advice customer through Valmet Performance Center.

As a Product Engineer you need to keep a global view of the product and collect and share information with other colleagues globally.
Who are you?
To be successful in this role, you should have a Bachelor or Master’s degree in mechanical, energy, chemical or process engineering or similar, and approximately 2 years working experience working as an engineer within relevant industry. Experience from the Pulp and Paper Industry is valued.
Furthermore, you should have fluent communication skills, written and spoken in English. Knowledge of Swedish is considered as merit. You are structured, result oriented, customer focused, innovative and a team player. You need a willingness and ability to travel internationally.

You initiate and actively participate in the analysis of disturbances in order to identify root causes and suitable permanent solutions. You create continuous equipment improvements and are responsible for spare parts preparation. You'll also monitor the performance of your equipment and analyze any performance losses.
You will be involved in the early phases of equipment projects and when selecting solutions, you will be the one who monitors the critical maintenance parameters. You coordinate preventive maintenance schedules and task lists. Furthermore, you evaluate maintenance plans by reviewing maintenance costs, etc. You will also be the one who handles all the equipment information, drawings, and documentation.

What you’ll bring
You have good analytical skills, place high demands on quality and apply a structured way of working with a distinct safety mindset, but since the work is event-driven, you also need a great deal of flexibility. For you to thrive in the role, you need to be open to change and used to reprioritizing.
You have a university degree or similar and experience that has provided you with very good knowledge of maintenance working methods/processes in mechatronic systems. You have good computer skills (good knowledge of Microsoft Office), a driver's license and are proficient in both Swedish and English in speech and writing. Experience of commissioning and maintenance of industrial systems. Knowledge of the Maximo maintenance system or similar. 
To succeed in the role as a Maintenance Engineer, structure, initiative, and flexibility are important.  You are a good collaborator, but also have ability to work by yourself and take great responsibility. Personal qualities that we appreciate are humility, good organization, motivation and good collaboration and communication skills. Skills are important, but personality is key.

Seat Platform is a part of Seat department consisting of approximately 80 engineers organized into four groups, developing components within the following areas: Program & Strategy, Seat Integration, Seat Platform, and Seat Tophat. 

What you will do 
You will work in a team together with Design engineers, CAE engineers as well as GDL’s, who are working with both Full-service suppliers and built-to-print suppliers to deliver a premium seating experience in a Volvo car. Seat Platform is responsible for the development of seat structures, headrest mechanisms, and comfort systems to assure quality of the designs from concept until the end of production phase. You will be involved in developing some of the safest seats in the whole automotive industry. Seat Platform are responsible for the products in all development phases of a project and in running production. You will be responsible for the design and quality assurance of your parts. The role includes securing the mechanical integration to our interfaces and external collaboration with our suppliers.

Architect and prototype enclosures for medical devices, detailing both top-level design and subcomponent requirements with precision.
Assure alignment of enclosure design with pertinent regulatory standards, including those set by the FDA, ISO and CE.
Collaborate seamlessly with manufacturing teams and suppliers to formulate an industrial manufacturing solution, incorporating materials analysis and rigorous mechanical testing.
Implement design considerations for specific manufacturing processes, taking into account chemical compatibility and effective thermal management.
Innovate in the design and prototyping of packaging for medical devices, emphasising both aesthetic and functional aspects, and subjecting these devices to rigorous environmental stability testing.

Dina arbetsuppgifter
Vi letar efter en Testingenjör för att förstärka vårt team inom fälttester. I denna roll kommer du att ha nära samarbete med våra slutkunder som utför tester i våra testfordon. Testerna kan variera från komponenttester till fullständiga fordonstester, och din relation med kunden kommer att vara av central betydelse.

Om rollen
Som utvecklingsingenjör ingår du i ett team bestående av ett tiotal personer. Tillsammans ansvarar ni för hela kedjan från design, tillverkning, efterbearbetning och kvalitetskontroll av detaljer i metall. Teamet har tillgång till AM-Center på RISE i Mölndal - ett labb utrustat med den allra senaste tekniken inom AM. I rollen som Utvecklingsingenjör fokuserar du främst på beredningen och efterföljande tillverkning i laserbaserad skrivare.

Arbetet är kreativt, utvecklande och varierande. Som Utvecklingsingenjör arbetar du både teoretiskt och laborativt med tillgång till många specialister att diskutera idéer och problemställningar med. Arbetet bedrivs i nära samarbete med svensk industri, andra forskningsinstitut och universitet. Du kommer att vara en del av en spännande, växande och kreativ grupp.

About the role


Volvo Groups’ net-zero emission targets by 2040, encompasses development and verification of high-tech innovative technology as well as a new lab that is under construction. Rig Development is part of the Test and Verification division within Electromobility. We are in the forefront of the latest verification technology and are on our journey to shift from physical to virtual testing. We are now expanding our team with two new System Verification Engineers with experience from HIL verification, software development and test automation to join our exciting global transformation.


As a System Verification Engineer, you will work in close cooperation with multiple stakeholders to understand product development needs, future test equipment and methods requirements. Moreover, you will develop and execute test cases at HIL level, upgrade existing rigs and prepare HIL rig technical descriptions and specifications.


Additional responsibilities:
Develop, maintain and up-time for the electromobility HIL rigs. Upgrade existing rigs and prepare HIL rig technical descriptions and specifications.
Troubleshoot errors/faults in the HIL.
Assist Verification Engineers to effectively use the HIL.
Set-up automation test environments like Jenkins, BitBucket, Artifactory.
Realizing/Converting manual test cases into an Automation Desk test case.
Perform Model updates to HIL.
Support and educate other domains. Support HIL rigs connection with other test equipment, e.g., test cells, PEL, Box Truck etc.
Create templates for automatic tests in HILs

Responsibilities
Build up and lead the global Customer System Engineering team with team members in Gothenburg and in the US and with additional members planned in Asia later this year

Product Regulations and Compliance (PRC) is looking for a Homologation Architect who will be part of a team whose mission is to embrace opportunities and challenges to evolve required homologation work for Volvo Cars. This work is being conducted in cooperation with our homologation and development teams within R&D. What we do

Product Regulations and Compliance (PRC) is part of the R&D Release Office. The purpose of the R&D Release Office is to establish quality assured releases with correct content at an agreed cadence based on speed and dedication. Within PRC, we are working with the products in focus with a trust-based relationship with authorities worldwide by navigating to compliance, having a clear insight into the key strategic technologies, and a clear communication regarding regulatory requirements. The Homologation Architecture team has a key role to play, and there are high expectations on enabling our homologation processes downstream to be as flawless as possible. 

By identifying the regulatory and homologation prerequisites, the Homologation Architecture team is to clear the pathway for the homologation processes by supporting solutions for opportunities or removal of hurdles to meet Volvo Cars’ strategies and cooperate closely with all of R&D. The team also works within base product development and addresses impact analysis on homologation requirements and regulations. The team acts as a bridge between regulations, certification, compliance, and support in developing better capabilities and system solutions. The team and its members are also responsible for developing the roadmap for homologation and supporting PRC process development and interaction with other units within R&D. 

What you’ll do

Through daily interactions with relevant stakeholders, you will have a close focus on finding solutions to different areas that may affect the ability for the homologation process to move forward swiftly and efficiently. You may be requested to work within a variety of technical requirements; Sustainability, Autonomous Driving, General Software, General Safety and Aftermarket and be part of analysis of the next step forward within these areas. 

You will also be asked to work closely with our sister teams for compliance in China, Americas, and all homologation representatives at different and critical markets. In parallel, you will be requested to take active part in development of all processes needed for homologation and compliance to make sure they are optimized. You collaborate with the various areas within Product Creation, Procurement and Aftermarket. Within the above framework you may be requested to travel.

Dina arbetsuppgifter:
Rollen som utvecklingsingenjör hos vår kund är en spännande roll där du omges av innovativ teknik och agerar spindeln i nätet vid de projekt företaget skall leverera till slutkund. Engine Calibration and Testing Industry within Product & Solutions Development is responsible for testing and optimization of both Hardware and Software regarding performance, emissions and durability of all our industrial drivelines.


The department is today about 20 Engineers working in different projects.


As a Development Engineer you will be responsible for delivering test and optimization tasks. You will be a part of a project team within Engine Calibration and Testing Industry.


Main tasks and responsibilities:


Tests and tasks can be everything from a specific comparison measurement, a durability test, complete engine optimization or a complete hardware selection for a project. You will plan, run, analyse and report all different types of tests.
Optimization tasks can be all from a sensor linearization to final complete engine dataset for production. You will be delivering the optimization for a specific engine.


Tests and optimization tasks can be run both in test cells and actual industrial applications.


We are looking for candidates with passion and ability to lead the way in our development work, a team member who is interested in technology development in general, but preferably towards testing and optimization of power systems and drivelines. Since the job consists of a net of contacts internally and externally, your networking skills are highly valued.


Requirements:
Your CV should contain listed qualifications in academic degrees B.Sc. or M.Sc.
Several years of experience in engine development.
You should be able to communicate in both English and Swedish

Senior Development Engineers - Power Management

Position Description, of the three needed profiles


As a Senior Developer within the power management area, you will work from concept development of new features to finalized product. You will develop technical system solutions, targeting customer gains, which will be implemented in HW and SW. Your work will include analysis, specification, and detailed development, targeting end customer benefits. You will learn how the Electrical & Electronic system is used in our products and how it enables the functionality in the vehicles, to contribute in the development of even better products.
Senior Embedded SW Developer: You can finalize development of logic and SW by yourself, and also do detailed specifications for others and hands on fault tracing when needed.
Senior System Design Engineer, with SW background: You include SW aspects in early phase concept development and can specify logic on detailed level.
Senior System Design Engineer, with HW or electrical calculation background: You include HW aspects and/or perform electrical calculations from early phase to finalized end product. With this profile the role ‘Component Owner’ is also possible to take.

What you will do
You will be part of our Agile hardware development team. Your team is managing the development at the suppliers to ensure our requirements and time plans are met.  

As a hardware developer you will continuously work with securing the deliveries for Volvo Cars production and aftermarket. A key responsibility is to compile the technical requirements from the various stakeholders and make sure that the supplier has accepted the scope for the development. During the development you review the test and validations results together with the supplier. We document the hardware in systems like KDP, Team Center, System Weaver and secure steps in the quality process. 

You will have a close collaboration with the Product Owner, Scrum Master, Team manager and many other people with interface to the team.

Who are you?
We are looking for you who have B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Electronics, Computer science, Automation, Mechanics or equivalent with relevant experience. Having worked with managing/ owning electronic hardware components for release to production or similar is meritorious, also from the non-electrical domain (like interior, chassis, powertrain etc). Experience outside the automotive industry is also an interesting background. 

You like to meet people and support the roll-out of our new technology. You are engaged with a curious, open-minded and positive approach. You like structure and have things organized and well planned. Fluency in English is mandatory.
