What you will do
You will work in a cross functional team responsible for developing and maintain our toolchain that is an enabler for Data Driven Development. Due to the huge amount of data that we collect from the field our tools need to be user friendly, robust and effective. As a Full-stack Developer you will be responsible for specifying, building, and maintaining the next generation of diagnostic tooling for our vehicles. You will build both back-end and front-end systems, and work closely with product owners, engineers, operations, and data analysts.

You will collaborate with a dynamic team utilizing technologies ranging from Python to Machine and Deep Learning to aid in accurately and efficiently diagnosing our vehicles. Our vision is to have a diagnostic strategy and software that ensures our vehicles do not have to come to service for diagnosis.

You and your skills
We see that you have at least BSc in Computer Science or equivalent in experience with evidence of exceptional ability, in addition to that you have at least a couple of year of software development experience.

You have a solid understanding of object-oriented programming and functional programming principles and experience in building highly scalable architectures as well as Python development experience (2.x,3.x).

You are interpersonal, with great communication skills, comfortable working with Agile project methods. You enjoy being a part of an efficient engineering team; you are an open-minded and reliable team player.

What you’ll do
You will work in a highly motivated and diverse Agile development team with members from different backgrounds and experience and towards a broad variety of external suppliers from various countries. The team will mainly focus on mechanical engineering, but you will have the overall responsibility for coordinating both mechanical, electrical and software requirements and deliveries.

Your responsibility will be to manage the collaboration and align on time, technology and cost, you will mediate in technology and commercial considerations between different stakeholders. You will work international and cultural awareness will be required. 

Do you fit the profile?
We are looking for you who are passionate about cars and new technology. We believe that you have a university degree (M.Sc.) in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent competence. We see that you possess solid knowledge within product development and engineering work on system level, with several years of experience within the automotive industry. Experience of working with wheel suspension is valued but not a requirement. Knowledge in CAD, component design and packaging is recommended but your daily tasks will not consist of CAD work. We are global company and therefore you have to be fluent in English.

At Volvo we work according to agile principles where teamwork is a corner stone. Therefore, being a team player is an essential quality we are looking for. It is also meritorious to have worked according to Scrum and be familiar with the SAFe frame work.

You have experience from managing and coordinating assignments and suppliers. * Ett måste för rollen är en fordonsteknisk utbildning eller gedigen yrkeserfarenhet som fordonsmekaniker, samt att du innehar ett svenskt B-körkort.
* Vidare behöver du ha kompetens att använda datorer och dess applikationer.
* Du har en god förmåga att formulera dig i både tal och skrift på Svenska och Engelska.

Who we are
Climate ART is responsible for climate system development within Volvo Car Group. The section is part of Vehicle hardware unit within Volvo Car's R&D division (Product & Quality). * Identify and interpret relevant environmental legislation and update required instructions to ensure legal compliance
* Coordinate environmental permits, regulatory agency inspections and measurements at the plant
* Develop procedures, targets and activities to improve environmental performance and resource efficiency in the plant
* Establish good communication with management teams as well as production teams, which is especially important in this challenging production environment
* Participate in internal and external networks, to make environmental considerations part of the daily work and based on this open opportunities for development of environmental performance
* In case of an environmental accident, coordinate necessary actions and report promptly according to applicable routines
* Act proactively, search for possible issues within the plant and be able to get support from multiple stakeholders to find the most efficient solution
* Participate in the factory projects to incl environmental considerations and that the best possible environmental standards are used in new installations.

Get FRF measurements of different brake systems to check the spread in between them, with especial focus on the brake disc: obtain and identify out-of-plane, in-plane compressional and in-plane shear modes and relate them to the different instabilities that have been identified in the vehicle resulting in brake squeal.

Local Tooling and Equipment engineering is part of the organization Manufacturing Engineering and Logistics within Volvo Cars and is responsible for securing the right equipment and processes for all new vehicle programs within the Torslanda plant. Vad kommer du att utföra

As a PAM you will represent Procurement in all decisions taken at the stakeholders and be a part of the ART leadership teams. About us
The first thing you will notice on a car is the exterior with its front and rear lighting. The Exterior Lighting is a key communication point for Volvo Cars towards the customers, and this will even increase in the future, due to more advanced technique and styling.

We are now looking for a Function owner who together with the rest of the Function team defines customer- and product requirements for Exterior Lighting. This includes Front-, Rear- and Adaptive lighting for all Volvo Cars.

What you’ll do
You will be working together with requirements setting and describing the functions in different areas of Exterior Lighting. Some of the areas you might be responsible for as a Function owner for Exterior Lighting ART (Agile Release Train) includes: Low beam, Position light, High beam, DRL (Daytime Running Light), Cornering Light Function etc.

It is necessary for you to have a M.Sc. or B.Sc. within Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar.

We see also the need of documented Project Leadership experiences from known Car Industries.

It is of high interest if you have background and experience of MATLAB/ Simulink and have worked within vehicle electric architecture.

For this role it is also preferable if you have experience from Agile SW and function development.

Electric Propulsion Systems (EPS) is responsible for the development of the majority of components for electrification of Hybrids and Electric Cars. High Voltage Batteries, Electric Motors, Inverters & Chargers are some of the important parts of our systems in these vehicles.

The ART Charging within department Propulsion Energy System is responsible for delivering some of the most vital parts to hybrids and pure electric vehicles. We are responsible for the On-board Charger (OBC) and the DCDCs. The DCDCs converts energy from the traction battery to the low voltage system. The on-board charger holds the functionality to charge the traction battery from the grid, and it is for sure of highest importance in a pure electric vehicle. Both AC- and DC-charging(fast charging) are in current projects and wireless charging is already around the corner, as well as all the features that will come in the future with automatic payment and smart charging. 

The Agile Team, In-house Software development, is responsible for deliveries of software functionality for the On-board charger. The biggest challenge with the DC-charging functionality of electrified vehicle is that half of the system is outside the vehicle. The success of the charging-sequence is highly dependent on the implementation in the charging station done by the charging station manufacture, and that they interprets the standard in the same way as we do. We therefore need to do the uttermost we can in our software to be flexible, adapt and to ensure compliance to the software of the charging stations.

Now we are looking for someone who likes to have a dynamic mix between being a Scrum Master and Senior Function Developer.

What will you do?

As Scrum Master for In-house Software development, you are responsible to lead the agile, scrum development team and you are responsible to deliver state of the art functionality with assured quality and within deadline. You manage the sprint backlog, daily stand-ups, and plan and conduct sprint review and sprint retrospective as well as you ensure that committed sprint targets are delivered and released to the projects according to the plan. That means leading and coaching the team to utilize best practice in software. The cross-functional team consists of Function Developers and Software requirement testers that works with the development of Application Software. You will gain a deep knowledge about the OBC software in order to together with the team, be able to make the proper time and effort estimation for providing software solutions for multiple projects in collaboration with the Product owner.

In the role as Senior Function Developer you will be one in the team to utilize a model based development process to realize functionality for different charging standards. You will be part of all phases of the development, from design and implementation to test your solution in HIL and vehicle and also fine tuning your functionality. You need to take an active role in reviewing/understanding the software requirements, implement the logics and perform unit tests to ensure the functionality and that no errors was introduced. To perform peer review is needed to increase the quality but also the awareness of what is happening in other parts of the SW that you personally are not working with right now. Other activities is analyse, fault trace and correct software bugs, and lastly interact with Volvo internal support teams and suppliers about software design solutions.

Do you fit the profile?

We believe that you have university degree (M.Sc.) within Electronics, Software Engineering or equivalent competence. On top of this you have more than 5 years’ experience of embedded system development and model based development of application layer using Matlab/Simulink for AUTOSAR architecture and toolchain. You have experience of working as software developer and you have used SCRUM as a work method. We are a global company so a must for us is that you are fluent in English. Also you should have a driving license (B), preferably you love cars as much as we do!

As a developer you need competence in vehicle dynamics and signal processing to understand and improve equations used for calculating different estimates. Vehicle state estimates are a vital part of the active safety and vehicle dynamics functionality in all Volvo cars.

What you’ll do
As Infrastructure Engineer/Service Owner for the WAN (Wide Area Network) you will have the functional and technology responsibility for the operation and development of the site connectivity area. In addition to this the responsibility also includes external connectivity, e.g. Internet accesses and cloud connectivity links.

Volvo Cars global network today consists of some 90+ sites globally in an MPLS network delivered by Telia Company as a fully managed service. The majority of the sites have backup links, either a secondary MPLS link or an Internet based VPN backup. Most of the sites outside of Sweden also have local Internet breakout. There is also direct connectivity to cloud services like MS Azure and AWS (under implementation). Furthermore some 60+ sites are doing WAN optimization with appliances from Riverbed.
As Infrastructure Engineer for the WAN service you will work closely with the Telia service delivery team, including the Telia SM and the Telia on-site engineer. A close cooperation with the Delivery Project Manager at Telia is also part of the assignment. 

You will be accountable for the WAN service within Volvo Cars in operational questions, e.g. in incident and problem management. You will also be the point of contact for all Volvo Cars sites in questions regarding performance, quality and development of the WAN.

Do you fit the profile?
We are looking for you who has at least 5-6 years of experience from working with MPLS (Multi-Protocol Label Switching) networks in a global environment as well as with Internet based communication/solutions such as hybrid WAN. You also have experience in leading outsourced services. Knowledge about new technologies, e.g. SD-WAN, cloud or premise based UCaaS, is a merit. 

You are experienced at working within teams that use collaboration tools such as Azure DevOps or alike. You have a Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science or equivalent experience in relevant field to properly set, manage, and meet expectations to ensure quality of solution delivered based on user impact and stability. You are experienced with agile development practices and have worked in product teams. You are fluent in English, both verbally and written.

Join us as System Designer within the High Voltage Charging and Power Supply team that delivers solutions to provide and control power from the electric grid to the high and low voltage system in the vehicle. We are responsible for the development of competitive charging solutions for on-board charger, DC/DC converters, wireless charging, charging wall boxes and charging cables. The team is the core competence centre in Northern Europe in regards to Charging solutions.

The Traction Battery Department has the mission to develop Traction Batteries for the future electrified cars of Volvo. We design the batteries in-house, so we have experts in many fields, everything from cell chemistry, to electronics and mechanical design.

Who we are 
Propulsion Transmission Systems design is responsible for electric transmission, automatic gearboxes, driveline and AWD system within Volvo Cars. We lead the development within our area in Hybrid, BEV as well as ICE powertrains. We believe you have a M.Sc. degree in Electrical engineering or equivalent with relevant working experience and competence.

CAD Engineer Mechanical Structure Brakes

The ART (Agile Release train) Deceleration, part of the Solution Vehicle Motion & Climate within Product and Quality at Volvo Car Group, is now looking for committed and collaborative colleague. The ART Deceleration is responsible for the delivery of the complete systems that make us leading within Driving Experience Braking.
We work in close cooperation with our suppliers and different car projects. We deliver complete system to new car projects and to current running production.

What’s in it for you?

As a CAD Engineer you will be working in the industrialization phase of the project up until production start, and design different components to reach the technical objectives and secure the deliveries within the given time. The work will be carried out together with a team consisting of design engineers, test engineers and CAE engineers. The role require close contact with other areas within R&D and our suppliers.
In this role you will be given the possibility to improve and deepen your technical knowledge of the system area and the chance to build new network within our company.

What you’ll do

As a CAD engineer you will use Catia and Teamcenter to model the brake system. You will need to understand properties of the system, such as Car factory process, Supplier process, Durability, NVH, Perceived quality.
You will also quality control drawings from our full service suppliers as well as releasing them in our Volvo Systems.
To be able to do this you will need to manage your suppliers and your stakeholders so that you get information you need. You will also secure that your work complies with any interface it might have.
You will work in an agile team as we are organized according to SAFe.We strive for self-organizing teams that feel responsibility for the end customer.
The team handles the complete development chain from defining high-level requirement to verified solution in vehicle.

Do you fit the profile?

You have a technical education, preferably a Master's degree in mechanical engineering and 3 years’ experience in product development.
You have very good knowledge and experience in CATIA V5 and Teamcenter. If you have experience with IPS (simulation) it is an advantage.
We will highly value technical knowledge of the brake system and competence in science of materials as well as communication/coaching skills and proven knowledge in SAFE (agile) and LEAN.
If you have experience of above stated skills from outside of Volvo, it is an advantage.

The Steering ART, part of Vehicle Motion & Climate is responsible for the complete Steering systems.
Within the Steering Art we develop steering functions for conventional and AD vehicles. The section Charging within department Propulsion Energy System is responsible for delivering some of the most vital parts to hybrids and pure electric vehicles. We are responsible for the On-board Charger (OBC) and the DCDCs. The DCDCs converts energy from the traction battery to the low voltage system. The on-board charger holds the functionality to charge the traction battery from the grid, and it is for sure of highest importance in a pure electric vehicle. Both AC- and DC-charging(fast charging) are in current projects and the future of charging functionality also holds features like wireless charging, automatic payment and smart charging. 

The Agile Scrum Team, In-house Software development, is responsible for deliveries of software functionality for the on-board charger. The biggest challenge with the DC-charging functionality of electrified vehicle is that half of the system is outside the vehicle. The success of the charging-sequence is highly dependent on the implementation in the charging station done by the charging station manufacture, and that they interprets the standard in the same way as we do. We therefore need to do the uttermost we can in our software to be flexible, adapt and to ensure compliance to the software of the charging stations.

Our vision is to deliver the best functionality in the market for Charging Software functionality and continuously evolve our way of working. We strive for a more modular software platform to cope with all different configurations of the worldwide charging standards. Now we are looking for a Function Developer who wants to join our team.

What will you do?

In the role as Function developer you will be one in the team to utilize a model based development process to realize functionality for different charging standards. You will be part of all phases of the development, from design and implementation to test your solution in HIL and vehicle and also fine tuning your functionality. You need to take an active role in reviewing/understanding the software requirements, implement the logics and perform unit tests to ensure the functionality and that no errors was introduced. To perform peer review is needed to increase the quality but also the awareness of what is happening in other parts of the SW that you personally are not working with right now. Other activities is analyse, fault trace and correct software bugs. As a part of the agile team, together with the other function developers and software testers you are a part of the process with daily meetings, sprint planning, time estimation and retro-perspective, all for the purpose to improve ourselves and the way of working.

Do you fit the profile?

We believe that you have at least a B. Sc. degree within engineering, preferably electronics, software engineering or equivalent competence. On top on this, you have some years’ experience as function developer with model based development for embedded systems. We are a global company so a must for us is that you are fluent in English. Also you should have a driving license (B), preferably you love cars as much as we do!

This is what you need to have. But we also have a few things that is nice to have! If you also have any of the following skills, we consider it to be meritorious: 

* Experience of product development within the automotive industry
* Experience of charging standards like CCS and CHAdeMO
* Experience of AUTOSAR architecture and development, especially the application layer
* Knowledge of develop/configure the AUTOSAR modules in the Basic Software layer
* Knowledge of power electronics, specially on-board charger functionality


In this role you need to be structured, driven and have good documentation skills. You are used to cooperate and communicate with different people in different roles, and you also have a flexible and business oriented mind set. Other traits that we appreciate is integrity, courage and energy.
